Specs:
Just like the rear of your vehicle will sag under the weight of a fully loaded bed, the front of your vehicle will sag when under the burden of heavy equipment such as a snowplow. In this case, the front axle is handling not only the weight of the equipment, but also more of the vehicle's weight. Overall vehicle handling - traction, steering, and braking - is negatively affected. But the resistance from Timbren's Suspension Enhancement System works with your factory suspension to keep your vehicle level and improve your driving experience.
The Timbren system comes with custom-fit brackets that are bolted onto each frame rail above your front axle. Hollow rubber springs are bolted to the bottom of the bracket and hang down so that the bottom of each spring touches the axle. Because each spring is making constant contact with the axle, it is always working to cushion and support your factory suspension.
Timbren Suspension Enhancement Systems are designed to work progressively. When the hollow rubber springs are compressed, the convoluted design causes them to quickly collapse along the folds. Once the folds are compacted, the stacked barrel shape increases resistance, stiffening the suspension and keeping your vehicle level.
Each hollow rubber spring works independently to support the driver's-side or passenger's-side of your vehicle. This is helpful when you swerve or make sharp turns. Each spring is activated when it is needed, so body roll is greatly reduced. The independent action also works well when you're carrying off-center loads.
Timbren's Suspension Enhancement System will help raise the front end of your vehicle when you're using heavy equipment like a snowplow. This ensures that your headlight beams will be pointed in the right direction and tire wear will be reduced. If the plow is off-center or has an extension, the springs will automatically compensate for this as well.
Another great feature of the rubber construction is that the springs absorb most of the road shock, creating a smoother, more stable ride overall. Wear and tear on the factory suspension is also lessened because the rubber springs work to prevent bottoming out on rough roads.
Timbren's Suspension Enhancement Systems are much easier to install than air springs - there are no air hoses to run, no compressors or gauges to hook up, and no manual adjustments to make. The rubber construction makes Timbren's springs more elastic than similar products constructed of microcellular urethane. More elasticity allows for a more comfortable ride because the rubber has more travel.

Today we're going to take a look at the Timbren front suspension enhancement system. This is a custom fit par and it is designed to fit the 1988 to 2002 Cadillac, Chevrolet, and GMC trucks, vans and SUVs. Because this fits so many different vehicles I would recommend to go to our website. Use our fit guide. Put in your year and model vehicle and it will show if this will work for your application. This part will improve suspension handling and safety on your vehicle. It provides additional support as needed so you'll always have a smooth comfortable ride.
It does allow the least spring of amp of movement while cushioning light loads and it does not effect the empty ride of the vehicle. This will become more ridged as more weight is added. It will increase stability providing rear performance while hauling heavy loads and it will help reduce vehicle sag. These springs do work independently side to side. It help compensate for off center loads and will reduce body roll when swerving and turning corners. These springs have also actually stock absorbents taking the brunt of bumps and rough roads.
Which will help extend the life of your vehicles suspension. Few specs on this includes shown here. The 2 aeon hollow rubber springs. The vehicle specific brackets. All the hardware insulation hardware and a nice set of detailed instructions on how to install it. The weight capacity on this is 14,000 pounds.
You do want to make sure don't exceed your vehicles weight carrying capacity and also this part is designed to work with a suspension system that is in good working order. That should do it for the review of the Timbren front suspension enhancement system.

I am dealing with Timbren. The washer for mounting the rubber spring to the mounting plate clearance hole is too small for the bolt diameter. The washer is not something you can get out without damaging in my opinion. The bolt also will not thread completely into the mounting plate because of poor threads ( not tapped correctly). Galling of bolt if you try to tighten. Very poor QC or inspection at Timbren or wherever. Once again, working eith Timbren on this. Maybe you should check you kits at etrailer!! 704185
I pulled the kits we have in stock and they check out fine. The washer inside the spring had the same diameter as the spring for the bolt. Could you send in a photo of your kit?

Makes a huge difference in carrying heavy loads. I could tell an immediate difference when I had a full bed, gooseneck load, or a bumper pull load. Highly recommended. I considered air suspension, but did not want to tackle that installation. Literally can install this with a torque wrench and impact wrench. 725228

Easy to install and keeps the rear from saging. Seems to help with sway control when pulling my 30 ft camper. Does make the ride a little harsher but worth it. Highly recommend. 595296

After a 3000 mile trip with a 42' fifth wheel on a 2016 Chevrolet single rear wheel short bed 3500HD, I will say they made a difference. They took some of the bounce and the side to side rocking out of the truck. I would definitely put them on my next truck as well. 667565

TOTALLY AWESOME PRODUCT.....Though I wished I had them when we trailered the hot rod out to New Hampshire last month. We received this item late as it was on back order for far too long. I did get a chance though to put the levelers through their paces when using our 18' lo-boy to haul large limbs, branches and other brush to compost site. The truck did NOT flinch and inch downward as it did WITHOUT the levelers. I liked too that the installation was basically pretty easy. I highly suggest going this way and leaving the air bags for the big truckers. Don't have to fuss with filling or deflating bags or dealing with leaky bags. This is a presto zippo installation and you can play "immediately". 550307
I couldnt be more happier with this product. Truck is still remaining relatively level, even with the hot rod in the enclosed trailer. Hot rod weighs in at 2200 pounds and nary a between truck and trailer. As in my earlier review, I HIGHLY recommend this product over air bags...so much LESS hassle .

Product was purchased based on mechanics recommendation for a friends F250 being used to tow a thirty foot gooseneck 3 horse trailer with living quarters. Post installation performance was all we hoped for. Service from etrailer, before and after the sale, is what every mail order company should strive to achieve. I will not hesitate to utilize etrailer in the future. They are flagged in my favorites. 324435

I first put the Timbrens on the rear to help stop bouncing and porpoising on highways and bridge ends when towing. The rears have a gap and do not touch the springs until the truck is loaded, working great and keeping a smooth unloaded ride. The front Timbrens fit snugly and touch all the time. The ride is firm and a bit harsh with my unloaded truck having a snow plow spring option. When my trailer 30 ft trailer is hooked up, the front of the truck is slightly lighter. Towing with the Timbrens is nice and the bounce and rebound porpoising is very controlled. I would like the front Timbrens to be a little softer when the truck is unloaded, but I think these units are a nice add-on for better control, safety, and preventing damages. I had the fronts installed at the shop when rotating tires and a front end alignment. The rears installed easily. 691475

Bolted in like a factory part, i didnt require the entra spacers. No change in unloaded ride quality, but with 3000# in the bed the truck felt more stable. Im am very happy with it so far. 463532

I purchased a used pickup without any jounce bumpers. I ordered these to provide more support rather than going back with stock ones. I pull a 5th wheel and these keep the truck level with less bouncing around and bottoming out when towing. When I'm not towing they sit about an inch or inch and a half about the stops so they do not negatively impact the ride quality. They work as advertised and I'm pleased with them. 653123

I have installed and used the Timbrens on my 2015 F350 dually with my 5th wheel Keystone Fusion RV for a year now. i have to say that the Timrens are not only easy to install but make the ride of my truck excellent not only on the highway but back roads as well that includes very twisty turns. Timbrens keep my truck level and i don't have to ever worry about airbag air pressure. i have owned airbags before and never again will i ever buy or use them. When you don't have a load in the bed or your RV hooked up the Timbrens ride above then axles.. Best investment for towing period! 264475

I put the Timbrens on a 1997 k2500 I haul 2 mobility scooters and travel trailer. With just the scooters and no Timbrens the truck set down about 3/4-1 inch so I installed mine with the 1/2 inch space left. With just scooters it rides firm but not harsh if on dirt road or hitting a hole you will know it with trailer attached it rides great no more rear end of truck bouncing up and down when going over a bridge. Also helps on truck lean when going in curves has been a great product for me 513079
They are still working great no regreats

Fairly simple to install. Did not have to Jack up my 18 f150, but would have probably made it easier. Install was pretty straight forward bolt on operation. I Haven't pulled my 28 ft camper yet. The bump stops I removed were 1/3 the size of the new ones. They should work real well. No noticeable ride difference with no load. Thanks. 641299

Purchased for Lexus GX460. Solves rear sag problem when towing with medium to heavy trailers. I don’t notice any difference in the ride when not towing a trailer with the helper springs. Should really come standard with the vehicle I’m the first place in order to utilize the towing capacity. I would highly recommend this cheap fix. 468046

They work great. When installed there is no gap below them as explained in the directions. I'm not sure if my springs have sagged or the product specs are off. However the load capacity and towing have been greatly increased on my 09 HHR. 249902

2012 Ford F-250, no overload springs. Loaded 24,000 lbs on a 32' gooseneck. Pickup would squat too far. Installed Timbrem rear suspension enhancement and pickup runs almost level and rides great!! All I needed to handle the load. Great product!! Would recommend to anyone looking for overload springs. Installed in 30 minutes!! 165636
Still works perfect!! Heavy use during summer. Cant wear them out.

I have a very heavy "Cattle Guard" on the front of my RAM 3500 and this combined with the heavy 4WD and diesel engine the extra support from the Timbren Front Suspension Enhancement System definitely keeps the front suspension from bottoming out. 644652

I am impressed with the timkens. Got a 2009 GMC 2500 hd and Western 8.5' v plow. Nose dive was an understatement before. However I put a 2" leveling kit and installed the timkens at the same time. One of them made my truck ride horrible. Probably the leveling kit from the torsion bars being turned in. I do notice tho that empty going over a jarring bump you can feel the timkens hitting hard. But with a plow on the truck it is the way to go. After this winter I'm gonna take them off and put stok back on for the summer. It's one bolt to replace them install was a piece of cake. 592401

this is the second set of Timbren springs I have purchased, the first set was on my Ford Raptor, they took all of the sag and sway out of pulling my boat. I have this set on my 2015 GMC Denali 2500HD, I pull a 42 ft. 5th wheel and the Timbren's take all of the sag and sway out, these are in my opinion the best product I have purchased for my truck. 683687

Product came securely packaged and complete and quick. Took about 45 mins to install. I bought this to try to reduce the 3 1/2 inch sag at the hitch of my Lexus GX460. It did that well. I now only sag 2 inches that I feel is acceptable. The trailer has about 484 lbs weight. The ride doesn't seem affected and towing bounce(porpoising) is gone. Thank you etrailer. 560925
Timbren are working fine. Towing is much more controlled. I am glad i purchased them. I don’t notice any ride difference when running empty.

Review from a similar Timbren Aeon Spring System in Vehicle Suspension
Have not towed our fifth wheel with these installed yet which was the main reason for the purchase. Towed a dump trailer and the added stability was definitely noted. With my truck loaded as usual with several hundreds of pounds of gear (two tool boxes, wood dunnage for leveling camper, ladder, B&W Companion fifth wheel hitch/Turnover ball, floor jack, tire inflator, jumper cables, screw gun kit, two traffic cones, brooms, squeegee - you get the idea!) the Timbrens are in contact with the bumper bars on the axle setup. Was hoping that the springs would not be in contact during normal daily driving but the stiffening of the ride is more than tolerable. I did not install the additional spacers as I could tell it would just add more weight to the Timbrens when loaded for daily driving. I'm sure if my truck bed was truly empty I would be off of the Timbrens. As for the five star rating without using these for the primary purpose I must say that is all on etrailer. They were great to deal with, answered a question I had very well and the shipping was extremely fast. 421213

I installed these on my 2015 Navion motorhome. It was very easy and only took about an hour. They did more than I expected. The ride is much better and a small shimmy that could be felt in the steering wheel at about 65 is gone. I would recommend these for all MB motorhomes. 460088

It was very easy to order this item from Etrailer. The item was delivered earlier than expected in strong packaging. Now for the Springs. I chose these because of the no drill install and reading a lot of reviews. I placed the springs on the rear axle of my 2018 Georgetown GT5 on the Ford F53 20,500lb chassis. It took around 20 min on my back but was easier than expected and I am 74. I have driven 1200 miles on the springs and I am more than happy with them, worth every penny. Side wind and passing trucks was almost eliminated, almost. 643899

I installed these on my 2012 Ford F250 because I have two friends who have them on their trucks and they pull a travel trailer and a fifth wheel camper. I was impressed with the difference it made compared to my truck and camper Parked next to theirs'. I am mechanic and I see no reason why anyone would have trouble installing these them selves. Clean off the Nut and end of bolts before trying to loosen. Spray some WD-40 on the threads. Put on some gloves and use a 15mm wrench to loosen factory nut. Be sure to hold up on the factory bump stop because it has a line up pin that keeps it from turning as you loosen the nut. The driver side is a little more aggravating to get to because of wiring harness but there's plenty of room to use a wrench first then a 3/8" drive rachet and short extension with a good 6point 15mm standard depth socket will speed up removal. Then installing the new parts is a breeze. Just follow directions or etrailer videos on YouTube. Took longer to remove factory bump stomps than to install new ones. Maybe 45 mins total on original ones maybe. Then after preassembly of new ones, it took maybe 20 mins to install completely. Give yourself 1:30 hrs of time and enjoy your truck not sagging around town when loaded. 654107

I had trouble with my browser called and spoke with Karen. She took my order. Then turns out I had two orders of the same thing. Karen took the time to call my home and ask is I really wanted two of the same thing. Great company, great customer service. How many companies in today's world would have made the extra effort. This is the second pair of Timbren I have bought. I love them. Used them on a 2010 Silverado, and now on a 2014 Express Van. Not only help the 'bottoming out' effect, but great for stability during towing and when fully loaded. 146117
After a year I still like them for heavy loads. I have found the bottoming out when hitting a bump with no load painful and uncomfortable. I actually cut two coil off them to allow the normal suspension to work when having no load. They still work for heavy loads. They are not the panacea for suspensions, but they definitely work when you have a heavy load.
