4,800-lb Capacity. Ride-Rite air springs enhance your factory suspension for safety and stability when you are hauling heavy loads. They reduce strain on your rear axle, keep your GMC C/K Series Pickup level, and adjust to load size for a consistently smooth ride.
Features:
Specs:
Firestone Ride-Rite springs are designed to increase safety and reduce the strain on your vehicle when you are hauling heavy loads or towing a heavy trailer. The springs partner with your existing rear suspension system to help keep your vehicle level, maintain even load distribution and increase stability. Hauling heavy loads or towing a heavy trailer can make the rear of your vehicle sag and the front end rise. This puts more strain on your rear axle and reduces contact between your front tires and the road, causing problems with braking, steering control and traction. By adding air springs to your rear suspension, you can help to level your vehicle and improve braking and handling. The air springs also help to level your headlight beams and reduce wear on your tires.
Adjustable Air Pressure
The air pressure in your Ride-Rite springs can be adjusted manually, side to side, to compensate for off-center loads. A centered load improves the stability of your vehicle by reducing body roll. The air springs will also help to absorb road shock and to soften contact between your axle and frame. This prevents bottoming out, thus improving ride comfort. Route the air line tubing for the springs to your vehicle's bumper to provide easy access to the manual inflation valves.
Air Spring Construction
Firestone's double-convoluted Ride-Rite air springs are designed to give you maximum load support and enhance the performance and ride comfort of your vehicle. The rubber springs provide cushioning between your suspension components and operate at up to 100 psi. The springs have four layers of reinforced rubber to ensure durability and enhance load support. A braided wire girdle creates the double-convoluted shape of each air spring, increasing the burst pressure of the spring. The rubber springs are attached to corrosion-resistant metal end plates with a time-proven, rolled crimp seal that keeps the bags securely anchored.
Air Spring Installation
Each Ride-Rite kit includes custom-fit brackets that connect to your axle and frame. The brackets provide the mounting points for the air springs. Drilling may be required for some applications.

All right. Today on this 1994 Chevrolet CK Pick up, we're going to install part number F2025 from Firestone. First thing we need to do is raise axle up and remove the two wheels. We'll also get the spare tire out of the way for a little bit more working room. With those steps down, we can go ahead and remove the inaudible 00:00:21 stop located on the bottom of the frames. All right.
Our next step is to go ahead and pre-assemble our bag kit. First we're going to install the air fitting that goes in to the bag and then next we'll go ahead and install the upper bracket. Now, there's two sets of holes to attach it to. The oval holes are for a four-wheel drive and that's what we will be using it today. We'll tighten those down with the flange lock nuts and then we'll flip the assembly over and install the lower bracket, and install the 3/8th hex bolt at the bottom. We'll just leave the lower bracket finger tight for now.
With the spring kit pre-assembled, we'll go ahead and put it on top of the axle in between the frame and do a test fit and we'll rotate the bottom plate to accommodate that. In this case we'll look like we'll rotate the bottom bracket where the letter "A" is stamped on the bracket is butted against the leaf stack. When we install our upper bracket we'll place the heat shield between the air spring and the upper bracket. We'll make mark on the heat shield and the spring, so when we tighten it up we can put it in the exact spot. With our heat shield in position and we know our bottom bracket is in the right position, we'll go ahead and remove the spring kit and then tighten down the bolts. We'll then install a frame brace into the frame and there's a hole in the center of it we'll have to line up with the center of the axle.
Then we'll re-install the spring kit and center it over the axle, and that will also help us to keep the frame brace centered over the axle. With the air spring and our frame brace in position, we'll go ahead and mark and drill our hole in to the frame. We will be work from the outside going to the inside. Now, on a passenger side you're working on will be relatively easy, however, on the driver side you want to loosen up the break lines and the wire harness and get them out of the way before you drill your holes. We loosened up the brackets and installed a piece of wood to hold the lines away from the frame. All right, with our holes drilled, we can go ahead and install our 3/8th by 4 inch long hex bolts from the inside out and then install our flange lock nuts.
We can go ahead and tighten them down. All right. Now, we can go ahead and install our 7 inch long by 3/8th inch carriage bolts in to the lower bracket. Then we can install the bracket clamp on the bottom and then add the flange lock nuts on the bottom and tighten it up as well. With those two last bolts tightened down, we can go ahead and start running our air line. We'll make sure that the end of our air line is cut square, we'll add a couple of pieces of a black tubing which is a heat shield basically for our air-line tubing. We'll slip both pieces on this side since it's so close to the exhaust, and we'll just push it in to the fitting and then we'll go ahead and route our air-line back to the bumper in to the location we're going to install the air fitting. All right, at the hitch there's a bracket that's been pre-installed, so we'll go ahead and drill a couple of holes in that to install our air line fitting. We'll be using a 5/16th drill bit. After our holes drilled out, we'll go ahead and add our air line fitting. We'll put a washer in the back, push it through the bracket and then add a washer up front, and then one of the nuts. Just like before when we install our air line, we just push it in place and that's it. Okay. With our air line installed, we can go ahead and repeat all these same steps for our driver side. After we have both sides completed, we can go add some air to the air spring and then check it for leaks. All right, and with that, that'll finish it for our install, part number F2025 from Firestone on our 1994 Chevrolet CK. .

I installed this on my 93 Chevy Z71 shortbed about one year ago and it is working great. The short wheelbase allows for more strength but the hwy springs are too soft for heavy loads. This airbag system allows me to haul a full load of wood on my 10k trailer and the pickup bed loaded as well. I carry a hand air pump in the toolbox to adjust the air bags whenever needed. This suspension mod allows me to haul maximum loads out of the woods and makes for a smooth and safe ride on the Hwy. 316278

Will these Springs fit my 1994 GMC 3500 Dually 2-wheel drive.
-- comment by: jim w - 03/30/2014Yes, as long as the truck was not originally built as a Cab and Chassis model, the part # F2025 air sping kit will fit.

very easy to install and they work great no issues with this product so far 711089
One of the best things I ever purchased for my 1996 1/2 ton Chevy truck. With only ten pounds of PSI in an empty truck bed, the ride quality of the vehicle is improved dramatically. With a load in the bed, the ride level and stability is greatly improved. Me and a buddy had it completely installed in about four hours. I mounted the air fill valves separately, so I can balance the level from side to side also. 549565
The air bag lift system works great and was easy to install, would recommend it to anyone needing additional suspension when towing or hauling, my truck frequently bottomed out on potholes and bad roads, the F2025 works for me. Thanks to Torie!!!!! 200573
