Front Suspension Support

A heavy front load can cause front-end sag as your factory suspension compresses under the weight of the load. This means that the front axle is trying to support not only the extra load but also the weight of your vehicle. And because there is less weight on your rear axle, your rear tires make less contact with the road, which causes problems with traction, steering, and braking. SumoSprings upgrade your vehicle's factory suspension to level your vehicle, improve driving performance, and keep your ride comfortable.

Installed spring when it is not compressed

SumoSprings provide progressive load control - the more you load them, the stiffer they become. With a lighter load, the springs will compress easily for soft engagement and a less bumpy ride. The closed-cell urethane material allows for smooth contact between the springs and your vehicle. And the springs act like a shock absorber to dampen road vibration.

Installed spring when it is compressed

The springs can also compress by as much as 80 percent to support a heavy front load and to help your factory suspension bear up under the load. This evens out the weight, which levels your vehicle and ensures that your rear tires are making better contact with the road. A level ride means that you have improved driving control, ensures safe headlight aim, and helps to minimize sway. The springs also support your factory suspension, which helps prevent sagging and reduces bottoming out.

The springs work independently from one another to support each side of your vehicle. This action helps to reduce body roll when you make a sharp turn. This also helps compensate for an off-center load.

Durable, Custom-Fit Springs

These microcellular urethane springs are tough. They resist abrasion, oil, salt, and UV rays that can more quickly wear out other springs, and they perform well in temperatures ranging from -25 F to 200 F (-33 C to 93 C).

SumoSprings compress vertically with minimum expansion to the sides, so they won't be damaged by nearby mechanical parts and they fit safely into tighter spots. And unlike air springs, SumoSprings require no maintenance or adjustment.

The helper springs are custom designed to fit your vehicle, and they install easily - no drilling required.

  • Best Suspension Enhancement & Steering Stabilizer For 2023 Jayco Greyhawk 27U
Hi Jeff, I can give you a hand here with suspension upgrades for your 2023 Jayco Greyhawk 27U, though honestly I'd go a different route than the Timbrens # TFEF350 and # TFERSD you mentioned. They'll do their job, but my goodness they can be quite rough on the ride. They are made from a very dense hollow rubber so there just isn't much "give" there and you'll feel it. The better option is definitely SumoSprings because they'll compress based on the weight being transferred so it isn't...

  • SumoSprings Recommendation for 2018 Thor Vegas 27.7 Built on E-450 Chassis
Yes, we do have confirmed SumoSpring fits for your 2018 Thor Vegas 27.7. For your 2018 Thor Vegas built on a Ford E-450 van chassis you can use front SumoSprings # SSF-106-40 or # SSF-106-47 if the vehicle is 2-wheel drive. There is no SumoSpring option for 4-wheel drive models but if you have a 4x4 then you can instead use Timbren springs # TUMDF70. The difference between the 2 SumoSpring options is capacity. Set # SSF-106-40 is rated at 500 pounds at 50 percent compression whereas...

  • Front SumoSprings Kiti that Fits 2006 Ford Class C E-450
For the front axle of your 2006 Ford Class C E-450 motorhome we have the SumoSprings kit part # SSF-106-40 as only option. This will give your RV an additional 500 lbs of suspension support. The different colors of kits mostly relates to different capacities and constructions but for front axles there aren't quite as many options since most of the time it's rear support that people are looking for.

  • Recommended Superspring SumoSprings For 2007 E450 Class C Motorhome RV
The only front mounted hitch confirmed to fit your 2007 E450 Cutaway motorhome is the Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - 2" # 65001. This hitch has a maximum 500 lb vertical load. For a motorcycle carrier, I recommend the etrailer Motorcycle Carrier w/ Ramp for 2" Hitch - 76" Long - Steel - 500 lbs # e98873 which weighs about 58 lbs leaving you a capacity of 442 lbs for your motorcycle. The Ultra-Fab # UF48-979033 would also work, weighing in at 51 pounds. For...

  • SumoSprings For A Winnebago Motorhome On A Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500 Chassis
Hello Allen. For a Winnebago camper on a Sprinter 3500 chassis, I definitely recommend the 1,000 lb Sumo Springs # SSF-106-47. I would go with the 1,000 lb for really any 3500 model, just because they will give you the needed additional support for larger vehicles. They will help a lot to increase stability and get rid of any sagging on the front end.

  • In Which Order Should SumoSprings Be Installed On A 2006 Fleetwood Jamboree Motorhome
It doesn't matter which order you install the SumoSprings on your 2006 Fleetwood Jamboree GT 31W motorhome. Typically the rear needs the most help when it comes to enhancement so that's where most people start, but if you're doing both it doesn't really matter. For your Ford E-450 Chassis you would want the SumoSprings Maxim Custom Helper Springs # SSR-106-54-1 for the rear and the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs # SSF-106-47 for the front. I've attached some videos below to help...

  • Are New Shocks Required When Adding Anti-Sway Bar and SumoSprings To 2013 Mercedes Sprinter 3500?
As long as the shocks on your 2013 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500 are still in good shape, there is no reason to replace them. However if they are worn out you will notice quite a difference once the replacements are installed. We do not sell shock absorbers for vehicles so I do no have a recommendation on which ones to get, though an OEM replacement would be preferred. If you have not already decided on which sway bar and SumoSprings you plan on ordering I recommend the Roadmaster Rear...

  • Suspension Enhancement Recommendation for 2014 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500
The Super Springs SumoSprings Solo # SSF-106-40 is for the front axle suspension of the 2014 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500 or 3500. The SumoSprings Maxim # SSR-336-54-1 is for the rear axle of the 3500. For your 2014 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500, I recommend the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # TMBRSP25A. Trimbren's hollow rubber springs will replace the existing axle bump stops and works to increase stability, reduce rear end sag, and extend the life of your suspension.

Adding the Rear SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs # SSR-329-47 is not going to be required on your 2016 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500 but it will help if you are getting a lot of sag or road shock through your suspension. These will simply replace the hard rubber springs that came on your Sprinter to give you better suspension characteristics. These progressive springs have a capacity up to 900lbs at 50% compression. • Comparing 500 Lb and 1,000 Lb Front SumoSprings for a 2013 Mercedes Benz Sprinter
In regards to the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs part # SSF-106-47 for 1,000 lbs and part # SSF-106-40 for 500 lbs for a 2013 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, the difference is the hardness of the spring rather than length. Therefore, they will both engage at the same time but the amount of give for example will be different. • What Does the Capacity Mean for Sumo Springs on a 2018 Coachmen Freelander
This is a great question and one that can cause some confusion. SumoSprings capacity is determined by how much weight it takes to compress the spring down to 50% of its original body height, so a spring like the # SSF-106-40 will compress down to half of it's unweighted height with 500-lbs of pressure. The # SSF-106-47 is going to be a stronger spring with it's 1000-lbs capacity. Keep in mind, these aren't designed to upgrade the GVWR, but they're designed to help cushion the load that...

  • Recommended Front and Rear SumoSprings for Thor Class C on 2018 Ford E-350 Chassis
For a 2WD 2018 Ford E-350 Class C cutaway chassis I recommend the SuperSprings rear axle kit # SSR-130-54 which is rated for 2800-lbs. Kit # SSR-106-47-1 will be too stiff. Since a flat towed vehicle does not really load tongue weight on the Thor's hitch the way a trailer does the kit # SSR-130-54 will correct for most of the sag without making the ride too hard. I ran this thinking past my tech contact at SuperSprings and he agreed. For a front axle kit he suggested # SSF-106-40.

These springs progressively add more support as they compress do you don't have a rigid ride and yet have the support when needed. It will help stabilize your vehicle and reduce body roll.
