SumoSprings helper springs are great for pickup trucks. Towing or hauling a heavy load can cause sag as your factory suspension compresses under the weight of the load. This means that the rear axle is trying to support not only the extra load but also the truck's weight. And because there is less weight on your front axle, your front tires make less contact with the road, which causes problems with traction, steering, and braking. SumoSprings upgrade your factory suspension to level your vehicle, improve driving performance, and keep your ride comfortable.
The innovative 2-piece design of these springs allows for unlimited suspension travel. This means that there will be more movement in your suspension when you're unloaded or off-roading, which makes your ride smoother and more comfortable.
Each spring has 2 pieces. One piece attaches to the frame of your vehicle. And the other piece attaches to the axle, typically above your existing factory leaf spring. The pieces come together to provide support when you are towing or hauling a heavy load. When you're unloaded, they separate so that they don't restrict the movement of your suspension. The closed-cell urethane springs also act like a shock absorber to dampen road vibration.
SumoSprings provide progressive load control - the more you load them, the stiffer they become. With a lighter load, the springs will compress easily for soft engagement and a less bumpy ride. The springs can also compress by as much as 80 percent to support a heavy rear load and to help your factory suspension bear up under the load. This evens out the weight, which levels your vehicle and ensures that your front tires are making better contact with the road. A level ride means that you have improved driving control, ensures safe headlight aim, and helps to minimize sway. The springs also support your factory suspension, which helps prevent sagging and reduces bottoming out.
The springs work independently from one another to support each side of your vehicle. This action helps to reduce body roll when you make a sharp turn. This also helps compensate for an off-center load.
These microcellular urethane springs are tough. They resist abrasion, oil, salt, and UV rays that can more quickly wear out other springs, and they perform well in temperatures ranging from -25 F to 200 F (-33 C to 93 C).
SumoSprings expand and compress vertically with minimum expansion to the sides, so they won't be damaged by nearby mechanical parts, and they fit safely into tighter spots. And unlike air springs, SumoSprings require no maintenance or adjustment.
This kit comes with custom-fit brackets that are designed to easily bolt onto your vehicle.

The innovative 2-piece design of these springs allow for unlimited suspension travel, this means that there will be more movement in your suspension when you are unloaded or off-roading, which is gonna make your ride smoother and more comfortable. These springs feature progressive load control, and what that means is they are going to compress according to the weight of your cargo. For lighter loads, the spring compress easily at first for soft engagement and less bumpy ride, and for heavier loads, the springs compress by as much as 80% for support. Now, these springs work independently from each other to compensate off-center loads and reduce body roll during sharp turns. These are made in the USA of durable microcellular urethane, they are going to work in temperatures from -25 degrees Fahrenheit to 200 degrees Fahrenheit, and they will resist damage caused by oils, road salts, and UV rays.
They have minimal lateral expansion, the springs expand and compress vertically instead of to the side, so they aren't easily damaged when operating in tight spaces. Another nice thing about these springs is they are maintenance-free, no tubing to run or air pressure to monitor like with air springs. It's gonna be an easy bolt-on installation, and it includes everything that you see on my table in front of me. You're gonna get the two jounce-style springs, the custom fit brackets, and all of the necessary hardware that you're going to need to successfully install these, and then you're also going to get instructions to walk you along and guide you step-by-step during the installation process. Well, that's gonna conclude our look today, I do hope that it was helpful for you.
Again, my name is Andy, thank you for joining me..
Instruction could be a little more deta iled.
Always great customer service and speedy delivery.
SumoSprings easy to install, no issues.
Always the fastest shipping, outstanding customer service and high quality products.
Added 2” spacers on each side so the Sumosprings touch my frame. Relatively easy to install, but centering on the frame was a challenge as the directions tell you to touch the wire harness bracket. I elected to be slightly off center so the bracket did touch to prevent movement and wire damage. Also, once initial installation is performed, you must remove to tighten, which is not in the directions. Overall, the ride has not changed at all and it helps eliminate the drop from my trailer. Highly recommend!
2023 Tundra SR5 TRD Sport. Install was pretty easy, do take the tires off, makes it a lot easier. Just note that the bolts towards the back of the truck will need to be put in and started prior to the other 2 bolts due to the spring partially covering the hole. See the pics and you can see this. But I did finally tow my 9k camper with these installed and it took out the sag of the truck and the floating side to side was next to zero. And the stuff inside the camper wasn't tossed around near as much as it was without these springs installed.
Package arrived intact only 5 days after ordering. Contents undamaged and well packed. On my new 2024 Toyota Tundra the installation was very simple, straight-forward and easy. In my garage I raised the rear of the truck with a floor jack, gathered my tools and started about 45 minutes after the package arrived. Took me about 20 minutes on the drivers side because I lacked any previous experience with this product. Only took about 10 minutes for the passenger side because I was more comfortable after doing the drivers side. I didn't even have to remove the rear tires. Keep in mind that I am a very mechanically inclined yet 68 year old guy laying on a creeper underneath a wet truck. The mounting brackets are very heavy-duty and thickly painted. Actually heavier duty than the originals. Bolt holes in the brackets were exact matches for my Tundra. After lowering the rear of the truck back down there is still approx. 3/4" clearance ( previous 6" clearance measured at the original factory bump-stops prior to removal) between the bottom of the Sumo helper and the axle rest. This is about the amount of clearance I was hoping for---make contact at about 5-1/2". Leaves me about 3/4" free travel during everyday, unloaded driving. Without the Sumo's my truck sagged 3" with 575 lbs camper tongue weight. Raining outside so I'm not going to hook up my camper just to measure the difference today. However, if it now sags even 1 to 1-1/2" less than before, I'll be a happy camper (pun intended).
I gave this a 5-star rating because I received everything exactly as advertised. Also because I can see how this product will absolutely make my camper-towing experiences much more pleasant and safe. And the Limited Lifetime Warranty certainly was a factor. I usually don't take time to write reviews but I was so impressed with the overall quality of this particular product and the ordering process that I felt I owe them that much as a tip.
