Air Lift's LoadLifter 5000 was designed with an exact purpose: to provide full-time, first-class support to your 3/4- or 1-ton pickup, motor home, or commercial truck. With this kit, you get a safer ride and simultaneously protect your vehicle from the strain that comes with hauling massive loads.

Carrying heavy cargo in your truck bed or trailer puts tremendous stress on your vehicle. Your brakes erode faster, your tires wear unevenly, and handling suffers severely. When towing, you might also experience excessive sway, bottoming out, and even improper and unsafe headlight aim. Fortunately, there is a solution to these problems. By pairing your existing suspension with the LoadLifter 5000, you can seriously beef up your suspension, ensure equal load distribution, and give your vehicle the support it desperately needs. Air Lift's LoadLifter 5000 provides up to 5,000 pounds of load-leveling capacity and distributes the weight of your payload to all four wheels. As a result, the stress on your OEM suspension is significantly reduced.

LoadLifter's air bags are adjustable from 5 to 100 psi for precise support, and they can be inflated independently of one another for front-to-rear and side-to-side leveling. They are made of high-quality, two-ply, fabric-reinforced rubber. Most air bags lose air at the ends, where the bag is enclosed with a steel cap, because the steel can rust and corrode over time, creating small holes. The endcaps on Air Lift air bags are fashioned from corrosion-proof Zytel nylon, a material that is both stronger and lighter than steel, ensuring that the air bags won't lose air. Also, LoadLifter 5000 comes with Air Lift's exclusive roll plates, which both protect your air springs and beef up the load capacity of the springs.

This system installs with the included brackets and hardware. Just mount the springs, inflate them, and ride. To inflate the LoadLifter springs, you just have to pump air in through the inflation valves. A line kit is included with the springs so that you can install the valves (one for each spring) in an easily accessible area - typically they are installed on the bumper. If you want to make the springs even easier to use, you can get a compressor and gauge system (sold separately).

Air Lift kits are designed to keep your vehicle at normal ride height. You can find the normal ride height of your vehicle by unloading it and measuring the distance between the bottom edge of your wheel well and the center of the hub. After you find and record this distance, you can regulate the amount of air that you put into your air springs to maintain normal ride height - even when you are hauling a heavy load. You will need to adjust the air pressure in your air bags according to the size of your load.

Along with a lifetime warranty that has no mileage restrictions, Air Lift offers a 60-day satisfaction guarantee. Just install and use LoadLifter 5000 springs for 60 days, and if you are not satisfied at the end of this time, you can remove them from your vehicle and return them for a full product refund. Now that's confidence.

Finished the install last weekend fairly smoothly. I jacked up one side of the truck at a time since I only had one jack. Had to put the jack on cinder blocks to get it high enough to engage the leaf spring front mount. One comment/suggestion for the installation guide. The only thing I struggled with was the parking brake cable. It was exactly in the way of engaging the bottom bracket to the axle. No matter how I moved the bracket it would not clear the cable. Then the light came on, release the brake dummy! Once the brake was released there was plenty of room to engage the assembly onto the axle. Of course, I did put some chalks on the front tires to keep the truck from rolling while I was underneath... No leaks, and it seems to ride much smoother than before. Thanks for a great product,

I still like the product but it seems to have a slow leak somewhere and will not hold air pressure for a week at the original setting. Guess I need to do a bubble leak test, just have not gotten to it. Other than that the product is great.

The kit was nice and complete. Installation took about three hours. The instructions could have used more pictures. The upper bracket needed more pictures. The kit was neat and install was easy with very little tools. I would recommend this to my friends.

Loved it! Easy install and other than having to fill it manually, because compressor went out, soon after installation, it was a great choice!

Warm weather has allowed my son and me to do this installation. It went well and took us about 5 hours from start to finish including unpacking, reading the manual, installation, and putting up the tools. Then did the leak test and did the test drive. Hauled 500 pounds today and working great. Without any weight in the truck it still rides very smooth. Thanks to Erik B for his help and advice on line.

It has been great especially when I am pulling my travel trailer. I am pulling 5500 to 6000 pounds and this is where you will really notice the improvement! The air ride system with the automatic leveling has made travel with my travel trailer a much less stressful time and I am now a happy camper.

I got your deal of the day, but unfortunately, your trailers are a bit lacking for my needs. I built a stage trailer. Here are the pics. By the way, I purchased all my trailer parts from etrailer for this project, tires, rims, axials, brakes, sway bar, airlift suspension, electrical, and so on. I couldn't have done this without your staff. Thanks

Review from a similar LoadLifter 5000 in Vehicle Suspension

I have a 2019 Nissan Titan XD with the 5.6 GAS motor. Wanted to do an Airlift suspension to provide a little support and get my headlights perfectly back to level when towing my travel trailer. No one makes an airbag kit for the gas XD, but after discussing it some with John H at etrailer, I decided to go with the kit for the diesel truck and see how things went. The kit for the diesel truck fit perfectly, except that there is an emissions component hung from a bracket on the driver's sign frame that prevents a direct install of the driver's side bag. My shop was able to install the kit with no trouble - they just had to bend the bracket with the small emissions component attached upwards for clearance. Everything else went in as designed. Great fit - can't wait to see it work under load.

These things have been great! I tow a travel trailer thats about 8K loaded with roughly 1100 tongue weight. The bags level this load perfectly so headlights are right and everything is stable. I run 10 psi unloaded, 40psi with normal loads in the camper, and 70psi with the fresh water tank full which is forward in the trailer. I kept it simple with individual valves for each bag. Wouldnt change a thing. A bicycle pump is more than adequate for making changes in pressure bc the volume is so low that its easy. All good with this product.

Review from a similar LoadLifter 5000 in Vehicle Suspension

The install was easy. The instructions do not address the fact that you should not allow the axle to hang on the air bags when the vehicle is on a lift or jack stands. I included pictures of the chains I made to support the weight of the axle when on my lift. Also a pro tip is to smear a small amount of Teflon thread sealant on the tube to lubricate and help the tube to seal in the fitting, I included pictures of the sealant applied.

Review from a similar LoadLifter 5000 in Vehicle Suspension

I have a 2020 F250 and when I hook up to my 14000 pound 5th wheel the pickup would sag a little. It pulled okay as-is but it really needed to be level for better stability, braking, and headlights. I purchased the Air Lift Loadlifter 5000 from etrailer and after they had installed it, what a difference it made. With just the install, it elevated the bed one additional inch with only 5 pounds of air in the bags. Once I hooked up, I put 25 pounds of air in the bags which was plenty to raise the bed to just beyond level. I am very satisfied with this addition and if you are experiencing sag, I highly recommend this product. For the minimal cost of the product, it was well worth the investment in safety, ride comfort , and stability.

Review from a similar LoadLifter 5000 in Vehicle Suspension

I just bought a new 2019 Ford F250 to pull my new fifth wheel. The pin weight of the fifth wheel caused the bed of my truck to drop a few inches so I bought the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Helper Springs and the Air Lift One wireless on board compressor to raise the bed back up to level. I installed all of it myself after watching the etrailer installation videos. I think somewhere they mention it being a 2-3 hour job. Well...if you do it every day, then it probably is. It took me the better part of a day to get it done. The first thing i did was remove the spare tire for easier access. I also tried to install the airbags without lifting the truck. Actually, I did install one side without lifting and it wasn't that hard. However, there is a nut on the bottom bracket that is between the airbag and the leaf spring that is impossible to tighten without lifting the truck body. Even after lifting the body, it was still very difficult to access/tighten. Instead of drilling a hole for the schrader valve, I used a couple of oversized washers and installed it in a hole on the hitch frame that was already there. The Air Lift One, I installed on the frame, on the drivers side of the vehicle and just forward of the gas tank. This is really about the only place on the frame without wiring of some sort. I got the EZ mount but didn't use the large U-bolt as I didn't find any place it would work. Instead, i just drilled a couple of starter holes in the frame and used the provided self-tapping screws. I also wired the hot and always-on wires together and directly to an upfitter wire under the hood. I had no trouble getting the wireless remote to communicate with the compressor and it works great. Now, with my fifth wheel attached to the truck, I can add air and level the truck back to factory heights. Overall, the install wasn't that hard and would have been super easy with a truck lift. The people at etrailer were great when made my order and will definitely give them a call again.

They work great, both bags are on the same fill hose thats routed through my license plate.

The air ride suspension has saved my leaf springs by supporting the constant weight of the tools stored in the bed. Great product and is very easy to install.

Review from a similar LoadLifter 5000 in Vehicle Suspension

I installed the product yesterday. It took 6 hours working alone including a trip to the village to buy a new corded electric drill. Installation required drilling 8 holes in the frame and 4 holes in the upper brackets. Anyone attempting this installation be wary of the brake line and wiring harness behind the driver side frame. My impression is that the kit is good quality and should provide excellent service. I am anxious to hook up the travel trailer and put this system to the test.

This is the best accessory you can buy for your truck. The regular springs require a lot of compression to contact the overload springs causing your headlights to be searchlights for the tree tops at the side of the road. These make the truck level despite the load. The only thing I would add is an air compressor and a leveling valve to make it fully automatic.

Review from a similar LoadLifter 5000 in Vehicle Suspension

This has been the best investment I’ve made for my truck. I pull a camper occasionally with my 2005 Dodge Ram 1500. It is an ultralight camper but loaded it is close to my trucks rating. I had a hitch that levels the load but it was difficult to disengage if the truck was not straight with the camper. The bags have made life easier. I know the ride height I should be at once the camper is attached I use a ryobi battery operated air compressor to inflate the bags to the proper height. Knowing the proper height is key. It took me about an hour to install. It was really easy. The next investment will be the onboard compressor just for convenience. Great product!

Review from a similar LoadLifter 5000 in Vehicle Suspension

Purchased the air bags just to provide a little help with ride while towing our travel trailer. Our travel trailer is 6900 GVW with a tongue weight around 650. Just by adding about 20-25 psi the bags did the trick and our 1/2 ton p/u rides much better when traveling over backroads. Did the installation myself and it was easy.

Review from a similar LoadLifter 5000 in Vehicle Suspension

Overall I am quite pleased. The install took me about 3 1/2 hours. Now that I know how to do it, I could probably get it done in 2 1/2. The kit comes with an instruction booklet, but the directions aren't the easiest to follow. etrailer has an install video that makes the process much simpler. I installed this kit in conjunction with a B&W gooseneck hitch and they work flawlessly together. I plan to use this truck to tow my 24' gooseneck trailer. It's primary use is on the farm and I haul some heavy loads. I also have installed the Airlift compressor. All together, it makes a nice setup.

I installed the product and followed the instructions. It was fairly straightforward. The only real issue I have is trying to put air in the airbags. It seems as though it's all or none. Very hard to regulate. Otherwise it's a good product.

I like the airbags. I have a slight leak on the right side. Need to investigate that. I bought a different kind of air gauge to put air in the system. Works much better than my old gauge
Roger - 02/12/2021

Thank you for your review. Please check your air leak as soon as possible and make sure to test it often. Use the soapy water solution to check all air line connections and the inflation valve core before deflating and removing the air spring. This product has a limited lifetime warranty so please visit www.airliftcompany.com/warranty if the air spring is defective.

The Helper Spring Kit you referenced is not compatible with lifted vehicles, according to our friends at Air Lift. That particular kit is designed for use in vehicles with stock ride height. Air Lift does have spacer kits that can accommodate a lifted vehicle, but they will only work with an inflatable air bag system, like the Air Lift Vehicle Suspension, part # AL57275. Then you need a spacer kit for a vehicle like the # AL52440. I have provided a copy of the install instructions...

  • Air Suspension For 2004 Chevy 2500 HD 4x4
I did contact Air Lift on your behalf to check since you already have leaf springs. The Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs # AL57275 would be a solid option and will help level your 2004 Chevy Silverado when loaded. One thing they mentioned is you may need a spacer such as # AL52420 if there is lift change when installed. This will really depend on the distance between the upper and lower bracket at ride height, usually 5-7" bracket to bracket. Included are video resources...

  • Will B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch Fit 2006 GMC Sierra with AirLift 5000 Helper Springs
I spoke with my contact at AirLift regarding the LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs # AL57275 you have installed on your 2006 GMC Sierra. He stated that with this particular system there will not be any compatibility issues with a gooseneck hitch like the B&W Turnoverball Hitch # BWGNRK1067. The air springs mount under the frame rail while most 5th-wheel and gooseneck hitches use the sides. This gooseneck hitch is confirmed to fit your GMC Sierra and will provide a towing weight capacity...

  • Will Air Lift Air Bag Suspension Enhancement Fit a 2008 Chevy Silverado 2500 with B&W Hitch
Air Lift air bag kit # AL57396 fits Fords so they will not fit your 2008 Chevy Silverado 2500 but there are options for your truck. The comparable kit for your truck is # AL57275. Please note that this kit will not fit if the truck has the Quadrasteer option. The upper brackets for kit # AL57275 which attach to the truck frame rails install only on the bottoms of the frame rails. This means that there should be no interference with the brackets on your B&W hitch. I have included links...

  • Recommended Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Springs and Spacers for 2005 Silverado 2500 with 5-1/2" Blocks
On your 2005 Chevy Silverado 2500, the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs - Rear Axle # AL57275 are a great fit and will require spacers for the lift blocks you have installed. I recommend the Air Lift Universal Air Spring Spacers for LoadLifter 5000 and 7500XL - 6" Lift - Qty 2 # AL52460 which will allow your springs to have the space needed for function as well as the height needed to fit your 5-1/2 inch lift blocks. You can still use the manual Schrader valves included...

  • Will Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Bolt on to 2006 GMC Sierra 3500 with No Drilling
The Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Springs, part # AL57298, you referenced are for Ford trucks from the early 1970's to the mid-2000's. So they won't fit your 2006 GMC Sierra 3500 at all. Instead you want part # AL57275 which is the version of the LoadLifter 5000 springs that do fit your truck. And they do bolt on without much drilling. I've linked a video of the kit being installed on a 2005 Silverado which will be a similar process as your truck.

  • Air Lift LoadLifter # AL57275 Compatibility with Reese Gooseneck Hitch # 9465-34 on 2003 Silverado
According to my contact at Air Lift, the frame mounting brackets for the Draw-Tite Hide-A-Goose # 9465-34 would be in fairly close proximity to the # AL57275 air springs, but they would not interfere with each other. My Air Lift representative noted that there were some interference problems on some 2500 series Ram trucks, but he has never heard of any compatibility problems on a Silverado.
