Very good product, easy to install, no problems so far with rust or wear. The only issue would be that when you grab the handle to lift the latch when locked, one side seems to be much more solid than the other. That being said, I would buy this product again if needed.
Quality product. Everything that the manufacture and your site said it would be. Easy to install.
Does the job locking the "right side of tailgate handle". Would be a better and more secure locking device if it locked "both sides" of tailgate handle. The specs do not specify that.
Works really well with my locking "UnderCover" Tonneau Cover. Would recommend product to others.
I had been considering a lock for the tailgate on my '03 Ranger for some time. The price from etrailer.com was the best I could find on the web. The installation was pretty straightforward (I recommend looking at a video on Youtube for some great advice if you need assistance). It's working great and with my topper, I'm able to completely lock up the bed. Thanks!
I received the Pop Lock and the Hidden Hitch Trailer Hitch Receiver. I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to install both items. I was under the truck installing the hitch and thought "This is so damn easy, I'm going to have to get the Tonneau cover just to be sure!"

Installation was simple enough but you can still open the tailgate if you pull hard enough on the non lock side of the handle. The sight of the lock itself may be enough to deter some thieves but if someone really wants it, they’ll figure it out. Better than nothing.
great security add-on / solid quality / I changed the weak plastic handler for the metal and with a little modification to the handler, lock fits perfectly and works better; locking is more solid, the plastic handler tends to twist at the opposite side of the lock (left) / very satisfied with the purchase
Product shipped and arrived when it was scheduled to. It was a little tricky to put in but after a while it was in and working. I would like to see this lock somehow lock both sides of the handle instead of just having one cam that locks the right side of the tailgate release. Other then that it works and looks great.
If I was a theif and knew you were using this product. I could take whatever I wanted. The lock comes loose if you pull hard enough on the handle while it is locked. Product doesn't work. I suggest trying something else.

So Steven wasnt very impressed with the lock so should I be concerned? And being somewhat pragmatic about security devices, I know they can all be defeated by the most determined thief, I want a device which will deter the casual thief.Will it do the job?

I installed the pop lock as soon as I received it . it was installed in about 15 minutes and has worked without any problems even in cold weather

Working out great, as long as you maintain it with a small amount of lubricants to keep it moving properly, no problems at all.
