Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at the Sylvania 7443 ST white mini incandescent SilverStar bulbs. Now these incandescent bulbs are gonna produce a wider and brighter light with greater contrast for backup or signal lights. These might even work with some interior light applications as well. As I mentioned, the bulb type is 7443.
The bulb shape is T-6, and on the bottom of that graphic there you see I'm including the number for the base information as well. These white SilverStar bulbs feature a rated average life of about 125 hours, with a color temperature of 3,200 kelvin, which emits a sharper balanced white color than the 2,800 kelvin options. These bulbs have a lumen rating of 465 lumens, and these are gonna be a simple plugin connection with your existing wiring harness or receptacle. As you notice, I am wearing gloves. It's a good idea when you're changing your bulbs to never touch the glass.
You always want to use gloves or something like a clean shop towel to help reduce the transfer of oils from your skin during installation. If you're looking for gloves, take a look at the related product section on this product page. We do recommend a box of gloves that you could pick up and add to your order if you are in need of some. Now, these are legal for on road use. They do meet the Department of Transportation regulations for performance and life, and as you probably know, it is recommended to replace bulbs on both sides of a vehicle for consistent color and light level.
