Hello, neighbors, Steven here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at our Sylvania H11ST SilverStar Halogen Headlight Bulbs. Folks, these are to replace that standard equipment 55 watt halogen headlight bulbs with the same fit and specifications. They do produce a wider and brighter beam and a more defined distance, and they give you a defined edge at greater distances as well, and they also give you greater contrast. The 4,000 kelvin color temperature emits a sharper, balanced white color compared to the standard 3,200 kelvins that are out there. Now, it is recommended for the manufacturer you replace both bulbs at the same time.
That's gonna be to keep both sides of your vehicle at a constant light level and color. And as you saw, it's a simple plugin. They just pull. Pull out your old bulb, plug this one in per the manufacturer instructions and you should be fine. Now, also note that these are legal on on-road use and they meet the DOT regulations for bulbs.
And you never wanna touch the bulb with your bare hands, 'cause the grease from your fingers and stuff can degrade the light over time, and you want 'em to last as long as possible, so I recommend using some gloves when you install 'em, or maybe a paper towel or a clean shop towel or something of that nature. And that's gonna wrap it up for our quick look. I hope our time together today has been enlightening. I'm Steven, have a good one.
I’m a big fan of these bulbs. They have a bit more of a daylight color to them. The factory bulbs were more of a warm color. The brightness difference was noticeable immediately, especially in the garage. We took a test drive and noticed the difference a little bit, but I’m still happy with them.
In the attached photo, I replaced the passenger side light first to show the color difference.
The install on a 2019 Kia Sorento was extremely easy. You just twist the bulb cover off, twist the socket out and pull out the bulb, then do everything in reverse. Very easy.
