With these halogens, you get HID-like effects for your vehicle's headlamps. The replacement bulbs shine with a pure white hue compared to the yellowish tint of your OEM lights, and they have an 800-hour bulb life.

Cool-colored light - especially that with a high color temperature - promotes driver alertness, as opposed to warm-colored light, which promotes relaxation. Color temperature is based on chromaticity, which refers to the quality of a color rather than its luminance. A bulb with a color temperature greater than 5,000 kelvin will produce cool-colored light, whereas a bulb with a color temperature between 2,700 and 3,000 kelvin will produce warm-colored light. In short, CIPA's EVO Formance halogen bulbs incorporate bright light with high-quality color so that not only can you see the world around you, but you can also be truly aware of it.

Today on our 2005 GMC Sierra, we're going to be installing the CIPA EVO Formance Alfas Maximum Intensity 9006 Halogen Headlight Bulb. These come with a quantity of two. The part number is CM93448. These lights are designed to generate 110 watts of light while only using 75 watts of power. The high-color temperature is going to improve visibility and promote driver awareness. The high-quality construction yields a longlasting and dependable bulb, which operates at a very safe temperature so that they will not damage your car's electrical components. Now to begin our installation, we've opened the hood and we're going to start here on the passenger side.
Now, removal of our headlight assembly is the first step, it's really easy, we're just going to push the two bars forward, then we can lift these right out. We'll just rotate them and then lift straight up on them. As you can see, our headlights are already a little loose, we'll just maneuver that out, and if we'll rotate it, we can see right here the bulb we want to remove. We'll just turn that clockwise, it's going to allow us to remove our bulb, we can just let our assembly rest there. The disconnect's right here on the back, just that small silver tab, so we're going to push out on that and then just work our plug free from the bottom. All right, now with that out of the way, we can bring in our new bulb.
Now our new bulb's got a small pigtail, as you can see, on it, that's going to plug right into our factory harness. We want to be careful not to get any of the oil from our hard, our fingerprints on our bulb, that's really going to drastically decrease the life of our bulb. Then we're right back here to the back, we'll slide that in, and then rotate it right back into the original position, as you can see now, our pigtail will be facing down, and we're clear to get our headlight reinstalled. We'll just guide it in, a little groove there, a little notch there, and then there's also one right here. We want those to be right underneath where we pulled our rods out of. The rods are going to come in, we'll push these straight down, and then we'll rotate them right over into the catch, which will hold them in position.
Same thing on the inside here. As you can see, with our new bulb installed on the right side and our factory bulb on the left side, we have a much cleaner, purer light, it's going to give us a wider field of view on our new bulb. Now we'll go over to the driver's side and do the exact same thing. With our new bulbs installed and operating properly, that will complete today's look at the CIPA EVO Formance Alfas Maximum Intensity Halogen Headlight Bulbs, part number CM93448, on our 2005 GMC Sierra. .

With these halogens, you get HID-like effects for your vehicle's headlamps. The replacement bulbs shine with a pure white hue compared to the yellowish tint of your OEM lights, and they have an 800-hour bulb life.YMMV. I put the first bulb in our 2008 TrailBlazer (driver's side) and was not impressed with the light: compared to the stock bulb, it was whiter, but the "hot spot" was smaller (although it was definitely whiter). On the driver's side of my 2004 Accord, it was awesome: bigger, whiter hot spot! I put the other 2 bulbs in and found the Accord passenger side to be whiter, but noticeably dimmer than the driver's side, and not a larger hot spot. Pass. side of TrailBlazer looked great, with bigger hot spot, and more, and whiter light. But, the bulk of the harness adapters make rear covers tough to go back on on the TrailBlazer, (which is actually used to seal the back of the reflectors from getting crap in there). No issues with harness on the Accord. So, I'm unsure if a bulb or two are defective or what the reason is that 2 look better and 2 don't.
The product was delivered as promised. It was extremely easy to insert and the brightness is better than anticipated.
work very well and very bright
After installing these headlight bulbs they made a real difference in seeing farther with whiter light and less eye strain
Yes the light is brighter and whiter but the part I liked the best was the extensions on the back of bulbs. No scraped knuckles trying to get into tight spot and make the connection, these were crazy easy to install because of the extension off the back of the bulb. I will post a couple photos with the drivers side (white) vs passenger side (yellow)
As far as the product I'm unsure at this point. I'm going to wait until the temperature is at least above 20 degrees.
The company in general, by far the quickest to ship out. I ordered the product I think on a Saturday and received it on the following Wednesday. And that was the economy shipping. I could only imagine when I would have got the delivery if I had chosen one of the more expensive options.
Pricing, probably average or better. I done a lot of research before I placed the order and this company beat any other price I could find.
Lastly, the description was the best of any site as well. Very informative. Now I just can't wait to install the product. If I'm invited to share how well the performance is I will. But I am expecting total satisfaction or better
Ok Used these Before last two cars , now a Third car , I like it's pure white , not that Blue headache light , ease of install AND the Pigtail included to Protect Your wires cause of the wattage , Can see Much Better .
and etrailer is a Great site with a lot of Items / fair prices / fair shipping
BRAVO
This headlight bulbs are awesome. I installed these as a replacement for my 08 Toyota Tundra OEM bulbs and their performance is excellent. Bright white light. Happy to have it.
they work and fit great as the highbeam s.
These are the best headlights I have ever purchased. The light projected is bright, I rarely use my bright lights. I will be ordering another set for my daughters car.
These bulbs are nice and bright, 9005 high beam really lights it up great. I have not had any problems with the high beam bulbs at all. It's been about a years time since purchase. But the H11 low beams sometimes one bulb will kick down about half the brightness then later come back. I checked connection and that was not the issue. Overall, for a performance bulb it has lasted the longest yet of any I have purchased.
LIKE it have used B 4 fact the supply a overload connection a PLUS
MY SON INSTALLED H4 Halogen Headlight Bulbs - ON HIS PICKUP TRUCK AND I WAS SO IMPRESSED HOW BRIGHT IT WAS... I GOT THEM FOR MY 1991 PICKUP TRUCK AS WELL..VERY PLEASE WITH THE RESULTS...
THANK'S ETRAILER
A good replacement so far. They're a little brighter with whiter light than stock bulbs and seem to be of good quality. The extensions are a nice addition. These put more light on the road while not glaring other drivers which is exactly what I needed.
These were not as bright as I expected. One bulb sometimes goes dim about half the brightness and then comes back to full. I have checked the connection and all is good.I purchased these with a set of the CM93447 High beam. High beam is defiantly nice and bright. Good part is that the bulbs are still performing after a year.
Excellent fit and the extended wiring harness was appreciated. All bulbs should have them, makes installation much easier. Bright white lite. Shipping speed ok (5) days
Good product, definitely unique. I like the bright light and and think it looks better than HID kits which are a dime a dozen on the road. Gives your vehicle some class. More powerful and better visibility than typical halogen upgrade bulbs. I would buy these again.
still working great best lights ever super bright just what I wanted. Thank You.
Thank you for the lights - they look great and help my night vision. Shipment arrived quickly. Thanks for the extra lights to sample.
Didn't last a year
They do seem brighter from behind the wheel but don't really look different from in front of my car not as white of a light as expected but they work somewhat better than the big chain store pair i had
The staff at etrailer.com were extremely courteous and kept me notified when this product was temporarily unavailable. I hope to do business with them again.
For the price, you're getting a modest improvement over OEM bulbs. They are also a bit cooler in color than expected. Don't expect HID intensity here, just better than ordinary. A snap to install, I like the pigtail connectors. No problems with errant glare bothering on coming traffic. I'd recommend them for budget minded motorists, a reasonable upgrade.
These work better than expected. We live on a dark road and these really light up the night.
1st, the next day air shipping arrive early of the following day. That was amazing. The lights are great in the night and were easly to install. Now I can drive fully confident in the road. Thanks etrailer crew!

The bulbs are still going after a year. I would say the focus seems off on some of them, but not all of them. Up close to a garage door, for example, it looks bright and white and then it quickly diffuses when getting farther away, as if its not focused. So its harder to aim when looking far away, as the light spreads more than it should.
