ARC 3137A Eco 3156/3157 LED Bulb Dimensions

Raw Lumens vs. Effective Lumens vs Stable Lumens

Lumens are used to measure the amount of usable light that is put out by a light source. Raw lumens represent the number of lumens that the manufacturer claims the LEDs are capable of producing. It does not include the light's drive method or the amount of light lost from the lens or reflector. Effective lumens take these factors into account and represent the number of lumens that are actually produced by the complete light assembly, not just the amount of light that the diodes are capable of producing. Stable lumens builds off the idea of effective lumens by measuring the amount of light produced after 30 minutes of usage, or once the diodes have reached their average operating temperature. These bulbs have a 600 raw lumen capacity per bulb and produce 411 effective lumens per bulb. The stable lumen capacity per bulb is 173 lumens.

Video Transcript for Review of ARC Vehicle Lights - Replacement Bulbs - ARC83FR

Hey, everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and we're going to be taking a quick look at the 1356/1357 style LED bulb. This is going to be a replacement for your existing bulb for your trailer lights or for your taillights and turn signals. It is an Amber light.Let's take a closer look and make sure that this is going to be the right fit for your application. You're going to use this for an RV, a boat or your vehicle to replace that turn signal light. I'm going to hook this up to power so you can see what it looks like when it's illuminated.

Now, this does just have that wedge style attachment, so it should just plug right into your fixture. I'm going to have to use these little alligator clamps, just because that's what I've got in my studio. As I put those on there, it's going to turn on and then you can see that nice amber color for our tail lights. Now, I know it's kind of flickering on and off. That's just because of the connection I have with these little clamps. They're not always the most reliable.

Just keep that in mind. It's not the lights, it's the wiring that I have. These guys are going to be nice and durable. They have an aluminum construction that prevents them from getting too hot and failing prematurely. They are IP six, seven rated, so that means that they're going to be impervious to dust and water so you don't have to worry about anything getting in there and causing any damage. It should last you a long time.

They're also reverse polarity protected, so if you happen to put them in one way, it's not going to damage anything, so they'll work in either direction. You don't have to match anything up as far as positive and negative terminals. You do get the two bulbs. These are going to have a raw lumen output of 600 lumens. That's the max possible from these, but the effective lumen output is more like 411 lumens, which is more of the real world application. After about 30 minutes though, of continued usage, that does drop down to 173 lumens, which is, again, it's with continued usage so that would only come into play if you had your blinkers on all the time.

Maybe if you had your hazard lights on for a while, or something like that, then it would drop down a bit lower, but still going to be totally usable and just fine for our application. We'll have 23 diodes total for each bulb. The color temperature is going to be that 1600 Kelvin, which is that Amber color, as you saw. The wattage per bulb is 6.5 Watts power draw at 12 volts is 0.65 amps. The voltage goes between nine and 16 volts DC. It is covered by a two year limited warranty. That about does it for our look at these LED bulbs. I hope this video has been helpful in deciding if this is the right set for you. Thanks for watching.

I’ve had these on my truck for over a year and they’ve been awesome! Still work great no issues.

by:

So far so good on the lights

I bought these to upgrade my rear tailights/turnsignals to LED. They are a direct replacement meaning they fit into the socket properly. However, there isn't enough load in these bulbs to have the turn signals work properly. Apparently, another electrical part must be needed for these bulbs to flash properly as turn signals. Keeping the bulbs since it's not cost effective to return.

by:

The last bulbs converted to LED. The stove light is so handy in my trailer but it was more wattage than i wanted to burn. These bulbs are brighter, longer life and importantly, less wattage.

by:

The led lights are still working. The problematic fuse in the car has not blown so switching from incandescent to led has been worth the cost.

by:

I’m not sure if it will fit my camper range hood light socket but will try it in the spring

by:

I wanted to replace the old bulbs in my trailer but everywhere I looked they were going to cost me $xx or more per pair. I found etrailer while looking on line for trailer parts and was very surprised how affordable the bulbs were. I ordered all the bulbs in the trailer for less than half the cost I was expecting. They arrived yesterday and I put them in. Wow, what a difference. Way better light output, much less battery power being used. All for a fraction of the cost. And the quality of the bulbs was all I had hoped it would be. I was talking to one of my neighbors about your web site and it turns out he has been an etrailer.com customer for a while. Thank you for what you do.

by:

Probably a great product but it is NOT a 194 bulb. Base is correct but too tall for marker light applications

by:

I can’t believe how much better these lights are from my old ones
One of the best things I’ve ever bought,

by:

These bulbs work fine. They're a direct replacement for stock and are brighter than stock bulbs.

by:

Unusable. Too hot

by:

Directly replaces the old 12V bulbs. Very easy upgrade. More light and less heat. This is also a safer alternative.

by:

The products are great, but you need to improve your web site. Just make it easier to use for individual vehicles.

by:

Perfect and easy upgrade for my John Deere E100 headlights.

by:

Thank you for your great service and quick delivery!

by:

I was very pleased with the cost and the product for the part that I ordered

by:

Products work great.

by:

great bulbs, very bright, still going s trong

by:

Quick shipping

by:

Works perfectly

by:

This LED replacement completely changed the lighting in my RV for the better. I put them in the main living area and work area and you no longer feel like you are living by flashlight. The only drawback to the replacement bulb is it is slightly wider than glass bulbs and it takes significantly more pressure to insert them. However, they will go in without breaking the fixture. The picture shows the clear difference with both type bulbs in a single fixture.

by:

They cool bright red and white tailback light wow happy that

by:

Fit into the old Peterson PM 306-25A socket perfectly, replacing a 2057 incandescent bulb that was there previously (both of the light fixture's dual filaments are wired together to act in tandem, and only as a turn signal - go figure - but perhaps to be marginally brighter together). LED bulb is much brighter, and I'll assume lower current draw (did not actually measure this). "Garage test" worked fine, we'll know how they take to moisture and vibration in a few months. It should be noted that despite LED bulbs's reputation for being "directional", this bulb lit up rearward AND to the side satisfactorily. Cannot comment if the difference in brightness between the two "filaments" offers sufficient differentiation between low and high setting in actual use, as mine light up simultaneously, as wired.

by:

These bulbs are much brighter than the ones I replaced. I wanted something brighter due to safety concerns and these seem to do the trick.

  • LED Replacement Bulbs For 2011 Toyota Venza And Hyperflashing
Hyperflashing occurs because LEDs do not use resistance to create light, as a result this lower resistance is detected by the vehicle as a burnt out bulb. The 3156/3157 LED Turn Signal Bulbs - Wedge Base - 411 Lumens - Amber - Qty 2, part # ARC83FR, will work as a replacement bulb on your 2011 Toyota Venza with the addition of the Load Resistor Kit for LED Turn Signals - 50 Watts - 6 Ohm - Qty 2, part # DI34ZR.
