Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at the Sylvania 7440 ST white mini incandescent SilverStar bulbs. Now these incandescent bulbs are going to produce a wider and brighter light with greater contrast for backup or signal lights. The bulb type, as I mentioned, is 7440. The bulb shape is T-6, and you see the base number information there.
The bottom of that graphic there on your screen. These white SilverStar bulbs feature a rated average life of about 125 hours with a color temperature of 3,200 kelvin, which emits a sharper balanced white color than the 2,800 kelvin options. These bulbs have a lumen rating of 465 lumens, and these are gonna be a simple plugin connection with your existing wiring harness or receptacle. Now, as you notice, I am wearing gloves. When changing your bulb, you should never touch the glass.
You should always wear gloves or at least use a clean shop towel to help reduce the transfer of oils from your skin during installation. If you're in need of some gloves, take a look at the related product section on this product page, and we do recommend some gloves there that you could pick up and add to your order. These bulbs are legal for on-road use. They do meet the Department of Transportation regulations for performance and life. Let's see if I can get those to kinda stay put there.
Now it is recommended, as you probably know, to replace bulbs on both sides of your vehicle for consistent light, color, and level, but I think that's gonna wrap up our real quick look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
