Specs:
This auxiliary heater can be used in addition to your vehicle's factory heater to provide extra heat in your cab as you drive. To do this, the heater splices into your radiator hose and accepts coolant that has traveled through the engine. This warm engine coolant is pulled through the heater's core, and is then cycled back into the engine coolant system. The heater's fan pulls cold air into the unit and blows it through the now hot heater core. The heat is then transfered from the core to the surrounding air, which is pushed out of the unit by the fan to heat the cab of your vehicle.
This auxiliary heater can be wired to the battery or to the alternator to connect with your vehicle's 12-volt electrical system. Permanent mounting is optional and will require drilling. Adequate clearance and access to your vehicle's coolant system are needed when installing the unit in your vehicle.

Jeff: Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a look at this Kat's Heater 12 Volt Auxiliary Vehicle Heater with the fan. Has a 15,000 BTU capacity. Now, this part will include everything shown here on the table. The fan itself, three position switch, a clamp and the installation hardware.
Now, this auxiliary heater can be used along with the factory heater in your vehicle to quickly and efficiently warm and defrost your cab. The unit basically will splice into your radiator hose and the heater core will pull the heat from the coolant leaving the engine, and the fan is what will blow the hot air from the heater core into the cab. The motor, it uses a three speed motor, which operates the fan at high, medium, and low, and they do include this remote operating switch that can be installed in an easy to reach location. And if you look on the front of the switch, it'll say, "Off," the position it's in now. Low, medium, and then high.
You've got three different positions. The fan itself has a heavy duty steel construction. It is designed to mount in your vehicle cab and it is made in the USA. A few specs on this unit. It's a 12 volt DC. Heating capacity is 15,000 BTU.
Amperage, 1.5 amps. Wattage is 18 Watts. And the overall dimensions on this, if we go widthwise, one end to the other, is right at seven and a half inches wide. The height of it, bottom to the top, is seven and three-eighths inches tall. And the depth, we're going to measure from the back here all the way to where the fan comes out or the motor, so you're going to be looking right at about seven and one-eighths inches deep. But that should do it for the review on the Kat's Heater 12 Volt Auxiliary Vehicle Heater with fan and a 15,000 BTU capacity..
