Heating your engine coolant keeps it from thickening and freezing, resulting in more reliable start-ups and smoother operation altogether. It also lessens the workload and extends the life of your vehicle's battery. And because starting your engine when it's warm creates less condensation in the engine block than starting it when it's cold, your engine will get better initial fuel vaporization, which causes fewer emissions and less pollution.
This frost-plug heater replaces the core plug in your engine block. The power cord on the heater is removable so that you won't need to buy a whole new heater if the cord gets damaged. The cord can be routed through your grille for easy access to a 120-volt outlet or extension cord. If needed, a longer or shorter cord (sold separately) can be purchased to better fit your application. Make sure the heating element is fully submerged in the coolant before plugging it in.

Now, this will ensure smoother startups and faster heating and defrosting of your cab. Basically, this part here will replace the frost plug in your engine block and it submerges into coolant. This will warm your engine fluid to increase lubrication and performance, helps keep the fluid from thickening and protects against damage in cold weather.
This will preheat the engine to reduce condensation in the engine block, which will eliminate less pollution and fewer gas emissions. The cord that's included is a five foot long removable power cord. Basically, your power cord you'll route through your grill, plug it into a standard 120 volt AC outlet and the other end is what'll plug into your heater, with this being installed in your engine block and you just plug your cord in and it's ready to warm it up. This is constructed of a corrosion-resistant brass. It's a custom fit for your vehicle.
It is CSA approved and it is made in the USA. Now, this does fit a certain diameter frost plug. It's a 35 millimeter diameter frost plug. The wattage on this again is 400 watts. Amperage is 3.3 amps.
Now, a couple notes on this heater is you do not want to use this heater with a 100% antifreeze solution, and you do not wanna start your engine with the heater plugged in. But that should do it for the review of the Kats Heaters 120 Volt 400 Watt Custom Engine Block Heater..
