Start your engine easier and warm your cab faster in cold weather with this frost-plug-style engine block heater. Heating your engine coolant keeps it from thickening and freezing, resulting in more reliable start-ups and smoother operation altogether. It also lessens the workload and extends the life of your vehicle's battery. And because starting your engine when it's warm creates less condensation in the engine block than starting it when it's cold, your engine will get better initial fuel vaporization, which causes fewer emissions and less pollution.
This frost-plug heater replaces the core plug in your engine block. The power cord on the heater is removable so that you won't need to buy a whole new heater if the cord gets damaged. The cord can be routed through your grille for easy access to a 120-volt outlet or extension cord. If needed, a longer or shorter cord (sold separately) can be purchased to better fit your application. Make sure the heating element is fully submerged in the coolant before plugging it in.

Simply replaces the frost plug or core plug in the engine block, and submerges in coolant. It's also designed to warm your engine fluid, which really helps increase lubrication and performance. What that really does, is it keeps your fluid from thickening, and protects against damage in colder weather. It preheats the engine to reduce condensation in the engine block.
It does come with the removable power cord, you could wrap this through the frill of your vehicle and plug it into a standard, about 120 volt AC outlet. This power cord measures around 5 feet long. Great thing about the removable power cord, is if the power cord becomes damaged, you don't have to replace the whole unit, just the power cord itself. It's constructed of corrosion resistant brass, it's custom fit for your vehicle, CSA approved, and made in the USA. Diameter is 40 millimeters.
Wattage is 400 watts. Amperage is 3.3 amps. And please note, do not use this heater with 100% antifreeze solution. And do not start your engine with the heater plugged in. That's going to do it for today's look at the Kats Heaters custom engine block heater..
