Note: This dual-arm rack reduces the need for a bike frame adapter bar (sold separately) to mount a children's, women's, or alternative frame bicycle. However, to mount certain bikes or to keep your bike level on the rack, a bike adapter bar may be required. Most step-through bikes, dual-suspension bikes, and small children's bikes will require a bike adapter bar.

Thule Raceway PRO

The Raceway PRO trunk-mounted bike rack lets you carry 3 bikes on the back of your vehicle with no hassle and plenty of style. The rack sets up in minutes with Thule's patented FitDial system, and your bikes ride on shock-absorbing anti-sway cradles engineered to cushion and grip the frames. For added peace of mind, the rack includes One-Key System lock cylinders that allow you to secure your bikes to the rack and the rack to your vehicle.

Anti-Sway Cradles with Road Dampening Technology (RDT)

The Raceway PRO's Hold Fast anti-sway cradles are steeply curved to hold your bikes in place, and they include thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) cushions with road dampening technology (RDT). The stretchy, gel-like TPE layer absorbs road shock and minimizes vibration to reduce stress on your bike frames during transport.

Hold Fast Anti-Sway Cradles with RDT

Removable No-Sway cages grip your bikes by the downtubes to prevent sway, front-to-back movement, and bike-to-bike contact. TPE strips on each cage cushion your bike frames and protect them from scratches and scuff marks.

TPE cradle straps with reinforced holes

Strong, flexible TPE straps wrap around your bike frames and hold them firmly in the cradles. Reinforced attachment holes maximize hold and durability.

Patented FitDial System

Thule Raceway PRO FitDial

The Raceway PRO uses Thule's patented FitDial system to ensure a snug fit on your vehicle and to make installation a snap. The included instructions indicate which FitDial number is right for your vehicle. To set the rack up, simply lift the center levers, adjust the base until the arrow lines up with the right number, and close the levers to lock in your setting.

THRacewayXTRangeofMotion

The rack base opens and closes like a clamshell, so it fits snugly on just about any trunk or rear hatch, and it clears most factory spoilers.

Sure-Tight Retractable Cables

4 Sure-Tight braided steel cables with coated hooks attach the rack firmly to your vehicle's trunk or rear hatch. These cables won't fatigue over time like nylon straps, and they're a lot more difficult to cut than nylon straps.

Oversize ratcheting knobs let you precisely tighten each cable. To secure the rack to your vehicle, simply pull up on the release levers to deploy the cables. With the hooks in place on your trunk, turn the ratcheting knobs to tighten the cables until the rack is snug against your vehicle.

Sleeves and Pads Protect Your Trunk

TPE cable sleeves and pad protect paint finishes

The Sure-Tight cables and hooks are coated with durable nylon, and the cables have movable sleeves that help protect your vehicle's paint from scuffs and scratches. Contoured TPE pads on the rack's upper and lower bases grip your trunk or rear hatch to keep the rack firmly in place during transport.

Independently Adjustable Arms

The Raceway PRO has adjustable dual arms that provide excellent bike support and make loading and unloading your bikes easy. The arms adjust up and down and side to side, independent of the base and each other. To adjust an arm, simply pull the arm lever, move the arm to the desired position, and close the lever. These levers also let you fold the arms down for storage.

Adjusting the arms up and down ensures that your bikes are level during transport and helps to provide adequate ground clearance.

Adjusting the space between the dual arms aids in bike loading, and it allows the rack to carry a wide variety of bike styles, including children's and alternative frames.

Complete Security for Bikes and Rack

Built-in cable lock with One-Key cylinder

The Raceway PRO has an integrated cable lock that secures the outermost bike to the rack.

Raceway with locking lever covers

And release lever covers keep dirt and grime out of the cable release levers and they lock so you can secure the rack to your vehicle. Since you cannot release the cables without pressing the levers, the locking covers offer an effective anti-theft device for the rack.

Thule One-Key System locks offer single key convenience

The cable lock and the locking covers have One-Key System cylinders that are keyed alike so you only need a single key for the rack. One-Key System lock cylinders can be swapped out if you own other Thule products and want to use the same key to lock them all.

Convenient Storage

The Rack folds flat for compact storage in your trunk or garage. Simply open the center levers, fold up the rack, and close the levers to lock it in the closed position.

2013 Toyota RAV4

First install on my 2013 Rav 4 was dicey as I am 5'3" and the Thule Raceway is a little heavy and getting clips inserted into top of hatchback was tricky. Once on - it is great, very stable and the cables are a huge improvement over long straps flapping everywhere. I love that I can lock down the arms when not in use. I was concerned that I would not receive this in time for a trip but delivery & customer service @ etrailer was also a very good experience! 269260

I'm really happy with this Thule bike rack. I've used it on several long distance drives and short drives since getting it. I got one that was already damaged, so the price was reduced. Etrailer had pictures of the damage and explained what was wrong with it, so I knew what I was purchasing. I have a vw jetta diesel wagon, and the rack is solid on it, without the stabilizer straps, which saves some fuss. Tips: to get those top clips on, I do have to to take the cable straps out, and work the clips in from the sides - the top of the tailgate is just a very tight gap. The bottom ones I kind of have to press hard on to pop them in. I needed adapter bars for both our bikes. Bikes need to have a straight top tube to fit on this rack; no fiddling them on in weird ways like my old rack. But with the adapter tubes (and I got $10 ones, not the Thule specific) it is very easy to lift them on and strap them down. 242370

2014 Fiat 500L

Just purchased this bike rack after returning one to amazon.com which wasn't a good fit. I'm using this rack for my 2014 Fiat 500L. It works fine, but I learned that to get a fit which doesn't interfere with the rear wiper blade. the lower arm with the good cushioning must actually rest above the license plate rather than resting on the rear bumper. I first tried resting it on the rear bumper, but discovered that the upper arm when set at #10, (per fit guide) rests against the wiper rather than against the glass. So, I will be moving it above the rear license plate to get a better fit. It might have worked against the wiper, but that would have been risky. Very simple to install!! 291035

Hey Noah thanks, the bike rack is awesome it fits great on all three of my vehicles. I don’t have to worry about using only one vehicle ,but what keeps me from giving a star 5 are these straps to secure the bike. They are weak and they brake make them stronger.I need new straps please. Thank you. 718802

This product is very sturdy, easy to install and sleek looking on the vehicle. The only disadvantage I have encountered so far is that the bike cradles are a little small. I have a mountain bike and it doesn’t quite snuggle down into the carrier cradle. My road bike fits perfectly. 522291

Subaru Outback Wagon

Fits perfectly on my Subaru Outback. Very easy to use and holds our bikes securely with the appropriate amount of spacing and high quality rubber straps (and an anti-sway strap) to ensure they aren't scratched or dinged. Rubber coating on the cables protects the car from damage as well. I've tried the less expensive trunk mounts and was considering a hitch. After reading the product reviews for the Raceway, I decided to go with it and I'm quite happy I did. It's an extremely high quality product that works perfectly without the hassle (and expense) of having to get a hitch installed. 154539

Review from a similar Raceway PRO in Trunk Bike Racks

Review from a similar Raceway PRO in Trunk Bike Racks

Just installed on my 2016 Honda Accord Sport with no problems. The design is ingenious -- no flapping straps, only 4 attachments to trunk, and with locking features. Regarding latter, however, I suspect that the locking covers are either plastic or very lightweight metal and could easily be pried off, exposing the cable releases. So, I would not leave rack and bikes on car in places I was concerned about theft. 288308

Review from a similar Raceway PRO in Trunk Bike Racks

Okay I was impressed with the fit on my 2012 Camry SE. Fits like a glove. I was skeptical about the fit on my car especially the weight on the bumper. With the adjustable cables there is no concern. Most of the weight is distributed in the cables at the edges of the trunk. The bike is clamped perfectly to the rack. I looked at other models which had several reports of rusted parts. The Thule is very sturdy construction and no parts to rust. So many options. I especially like the swivel clamps which fits perfectly to the slope of my mountain bike. Spend the extra money and protect your bike and vehicle. You get what you pay for. 230999

My review after one year of owning this product has not changed. I really like this product. I use the bike rack on my car at least twice weekly and really enjoy the ease of installing and removing. I do have some concerns that over time the arms used to secure the bike to the car may wear down and break. They are made out of plastic and that concerns me. Also the rubber straps for the wheels may cause a problem by tearing from repeated uses. The fact that you took the time to follow up speaks volumes about the character of your company. Thanks

Review from a similar Raceway PRO in Trunk Bike Racks

Overall, this rack is stable and secure. Two design issues that I have not loved have been the weight and the inability for it to stay folded up. I use a strap to address that. Since purchase, the wheel tray has not locked in place in 2 out of 4 places. Something is not right there. For the cost, I would have expected better quality. 653987

  • Will Thule Raceway PRO Trunk Bike Rack Fit a 2017 Audi A4 Sedan
I cross-referenced our fit guide with Thule's fit guide for your 2017 Audi A4 Sedan and the only fits listed by Thule are the Passage 2-Bike # TH910XT, the Gateway Pro 2-Bike # TH88VR, and the Gateway Pro 3-Bike # TH78VR. I didn't find the Raceway PRO # TH9002PRO listed as a fit. I recommend going with the Gateway Pro because it is a new addition from Thule (July 2020) and it will be easier to use plus it has cradles spaced 7" apart for easier loading than the Passage. Out of all of the trunk mounted bike racks we have, the Thule Raceway PRO 3-Bike Rack # TH9002PRO is the least likely to damage your vehicle while in transport. If I had a bike I would put this unit on my car based my experience with this product and based on customer interactions. The Raceway features sleeves and pads to protect the trunk area. • Three Bike Carrying Option for 2020 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid
Because the vehicle can be damaged due to the weight of 3 bikes it's not recommended that a 3 bike trunk mount rack be used on this vehicle. Your best bet would be to install a hitch and use a hitch mounted bike rack if you need to carry three bikes. For a hitch, I'd recommend the Draw-Tite class II hitch, part # 36798-SK. This hitch is a no-drill application that most folks could install on their own if they're fairly handy. I've linked to the installation instructions. If you were...

  • Available Trunk Mounted Bike Rack to Fit a 2011 Subaru Impreza STI Sedan with Spoiler
We have a few different trunk mounted bike racks that will fit your 2011 Subaru Impreza STI with a spoiler. Unfortunately, the Thule Raceway PRO 3-Bike Rack, # TH9002PRO, will not mount to your Subaru with your rear spoiler. The Yakima FullBack 3 Bike Rack, # Y02633, is similar to the Thule rack and is confirmed to fit your vehicle with the rear spoiler. The FullBack rack also has the adjustable arms that will allow you to keep your bike level when in transit. The Yakima rack also uses...

  • Will the Cables on the Thule Raceway 3 Trunk mount Bike Rack Scratch the Vehicle Paint
The hooks on the Thule Raceway, # TH9002PRO, are coated and there is a sleeve around them for added protection for the part of the cables that could potentially contact the vehicle. The cables are also coated. While there is a chance that there could be abrasions the above features on the rack will help to prevent that from happening. You will also want to make sure that the contact points on the vehicle and the rack itself are clean to avoiding scratching the vehicle. I own this bike...

  • Bike Carrying Options for 2002 Subaru Impreza WRX
If your Impreza WRX does not have a spoiler, a trunk mounted rack would be the most convenient option. Although we offer many different racks that are a confirmed fit, I would recommend the Thule Raceway, part # TH9002PRO. Typically, a trunk mounted rack would use straps and buckles that need to be adjusted each time the rack is installed or removed, which can be an awkward and time consuming process. The Raceway uses 4 retractable cables that allow the rack to be installed or removed in...

  • Trunk Mounted Thule Raceway Bike Rack Recommendation for a 2011 Toyota Prius
Yes, the Thule Raceway 3 Bike Carrier # TH9002PRO that you referenced will work on your 2011 Toyota Prius. I checked with Thule and they listed the following fit tips: Fit Dial Setting 7 Place top clips in the gap at the front edge of the top of the trunk, hatch or door. Place lower clips in the bottom edge of trunk or hatch. Caution: Rear wiper can not be used when carrier is mounted. Always check to make sure there is no contact between the lower straps and the muffler...

  • Bike Rack Options for Trunk Access
The simple answer is, you can not access the cargo area with bikes loaded on a Thule Raceway 3 Bike Rack # TH9002PRO. There are styles of bike racks that allow for trunk access, but due to the nature of trunk mounted bike racks, you cannot open your trunk with one of them loaded. If you have a hitch on your Toyota Highlander you could get a swing-away rack like the Yakima FullSwing, # Y02465. This rack can swing away with bikes loaded on it to allow for complete access to the cargo...

  • How to Carry 3 Bikes on a 2016 Volvo XC90
I do have a trunk mount bike carrier for your 2016 Volvo XC90 that will allow you to carry 3 bikes. It is the Hollywood Racks Over-the-Top rack # HRF2-3. It has an extra arm piece that will move the top straps up and over any hatch spoiler so no weight is put on it. Another option instead of using a trunk mount carrier to carry three bikes is to install a trailer hitch and use a hitch mount bike carrier. You can use Curt trailer hitch # C13233. Then for a bike carrier you can use # TH934XTR...

  • Bike Rack Recommendation for a 2012 Honda Pilot that Will Also be Towing a Trailer
There are trunk mount bike racks that will fit the 2012 Honda Pilot, see link, but the Thule racks will not fit. Out of the available options for 3 bikes (there are no 4-bike options that we carry) I recommend Yakimas KingJoe Pro 3, # Y02625. This rack has a unique design that is compatible with many vehicles. There are ways to tow a trailer and use a hitch mount rack together. You can use dual-purpose ball mount # D210. The overall tongue weight of everything loaded on this ball mount...

  • Will Rear Wiper on Jetta SportWagen Interfere with Thule Raceway 3 Bike Carrier
The Thule installation notes for the Raceway 3 Bike Carrier, part # TH9002PRO, on the 2009-2010 VW Jetta Sportwagen indicate that the rear wiper cannot be used with this bike carrier installed. The upper mounting arm will rest on the rear hatch glass when this item is installed. Please see the attached photo showing how the carrier mounts on a hatchback type vehicle. Since this rack mounts securely to your vehicle with its steel cables it is likely that if turned on accidentally the...
