Note: This dual-arm rack reduces the need for a bike frame adapter bar (sold separately) to mount a children's, women's, or alternative frame bicycle. However, to mount certain bikes or to keep your bike level on the rack, a bike adapter bar may be required. Most step-through bikes, dual-suspension bikes, and small children's bikes will require a bike adapter bar.

Thule Raceway PRO

The Raceway PRO trunk-mounted bike rack lets you carry 2 bikes on the back of your vehicle with no hassle and plenty of style. The rack sets up in minutes with Thule's patented FitDial system, and your bikes ride on shock-absorbing anti-sway cradles engineered to cushion and grip the frames. For added peace of mind, the rack includes One-Key System lock cylinders that allow you to secure your bikes to the rack and the rack to your vehicle.

Anti-Sway Cradles with Road Dampening Technology (RDT)

The Raceway PRO's Hold Fast anti-sway cradles are steeply curved to hold your bikes in place, and they include thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) cushions with road dampening technology (RDT). The stretchy, gel-like TPE layer absorbs road shock and minimizes vibration to reduce stress on your bike frames during transport.

Hold Fast Anti-Sway Cradles with RDT

Removable No-Sway cages grip your bikes by the downtubes to prevent sway, front-to-back movement, and bike-to-bike contact. TPE strips on each cage cushion your bike frames and protect them from scratches and scuff marks.

TPE cradle straps with reinforced holes

Strong, flexible TPE straps wrap around your bike frames and hold them firmly in the cradles. Reinforced attachment holes maximize hold and durability.

Patented FitDial System

Thule Raceway PRO FitDial

The Raceway PRO uses Thule's patented FitDial system to ensure a snug fit on your vehicle and to make installation a snap. The included instructions indicate which FitDial number is right for your vehicle. To set the rack up, simply lift the center levers, adjust the base until the arrow lines up with the right number, and close the levers to lock in your setting.

THRacewayXTRangeofMotion

The rack base opens and closes like a clamshell, so it fits snugly on just about any trunk or rear hatch, and it clears many factory spoilers.

Sure-Tight Retractable Cables

4 Sure-Tight braided steel cables with coated hooks attach the rack firmly to your vehicle's trunk or rear hatch. These cables won't fatigue over time like nylon straps, and they're a lot more difficult to cut than nylon straps.

Oversize ratcheting knobs let you precisely tighten each cable. To secure the rack to your vehicle, simply pull up on the release levers to deploy the cables. With the hooks in place on your trunk, turn the ratcheting knobs to tighten the cables until the rack is snug against your vehicle.

Sleeves and Pads Protect Your Trunk

TPE cable sleeves and pad protect paint finishes

The Sure-Tight cables and hooks are coated with durable nylon, and the cables have movable sleeves that help protect your vehicle's paint from scuffs and scratches. Contoured TPE pads on the rack's upper and lower bases grip your trunk or rear hatch to keep the rack firmly in place during transport.

Independently Adjustable Arms

The Raceway PRO has adjustable dual arms that provide excellent bike support and make loading and unloading your bikes easy. The arms adjust up and down and side to side, independent of the base and each other. To adjust an arm, simply pull the arm lever, move the arm to the desired position, and close the lever. These levers also let you fold the arms down for storage.

Adjusting the arms up and down ensures that your bikes are level during transport and helps to provide adequate ground clearance.

Adjusting the space between the dual arms aids in bike loading, and it allows the rack to carry a wide variety of bike styles, including children's and alternative frames.

Complete Security for Bikes and Rack

Built-in cable lock with One-Key cylinder

The Raceway PRO has an integrated cable lock that secures the outermost bike to the rack.

Raceway with locking cover open

And the release lever covers lock so you can secure the rack to your vehicle. Since you cannot release the cables without pressing the levers, the locking covers offer an effective anti-theft device for the rack.

Thule One-Key System locks offer single key convenience

The cable lock and the locking covers have One-Key System cylinders that are keyed alike so you only need a single key for the rack. One-Key System lock cylinders can be swapped out if you own other Thule products and want to use the same key to lock them all.

Convenient Storage

The rack folds flat for compact storage in your trunk or garage. Simply open the center levers, fold up the rack, and close the levers to lock it in the closed position.

Video Transcript for Thule Raceway PRO 2 Bike Rack Review

Today we're going to be reviewing the Thule Raceway Pro, 2-Bike, Trunk Mounted Bike Rack, part number TH9001PRO. This is also available as a 3-bike rack with part number TH9002PRO. The Thule Raceway has a lot of unique features, we're going to start out with how it fits on the vehicle. It has these nice rubber padded protectors as well as the vinyl coated hooks so it's going to protect the paint and finish on our vehicle. Right here in the cradles, it's RDT technology, this is going to be Road Damping Technology providing a nice cushion ride for your bicycle. It's also going to feature your anti-sway cradles so your bikes don't make contact with one another. It's got the fully adjustable arms that way you can scoot them closer together, separate them, you can also change the angle so it's going to fit a wide variety of bikes.

Right here you're going to notice that it has the patented fit dial system so it's also going to fit a wide variety of vehicles. There going to be a lock located on each end of the bike rack. These locks are lock the rack to the vehicle for full security. Here on the end of one of the arms, we're going to find a cable lock system so not only does your rack lock and secure to your vehicle but it's also going to lock your bikes to the rack. It's going to use the same key system so any of the keys provided will work on any of the locks on the rack. The Thule Raceway is constructed of a gas injected molded nylon which makes it very strong and durable but yet light-weight. This bike rack has the carrying capacity of two bikes with the weight capacity of 70 pounds.

The distance between the adjustable arms, from outside cradle to outside cradle, can range from 6 1/2 inches to 10 1/2 inches. Now when loading up a woman's bike, alternative frame bike or a children's bike, you may need to use the Thule Bike Adapter Bar that's available right here at etrailer.com, sold separately with part number TH982XT. Now we're going to show you how to install the Raceway on your vehicle. As you can see it folds up nice and compact for easy and convenient storage. Now you want to refer to the Thule Fit Guide, you can either use our website or they're going to include a fit guide in the instructions. It's going to show you how you need to adjust your arms and where your arms need to be sitting in relation to your particular vehicle. On ours today, we need to go ahead and set our fit dial to the appropriate number, once we have it set, we can close these tabs right here, it's going to lock that upper arm in place.

Now for our particular fit, our upper arm needs to sit here on top of the trunk and then our lower arm needs to seating on the upper tier of our bumper. Now we did go ahead and clean our surface so you want to make sure you do that before installing this. Once we have this situated correctly on our trunk, the next thing to do will be to go ahead and place our hooks. Now these have the nice protectors right here that way it protects the cable but mainly it's going to protect the finish on your vehicle. To adjust the cable, to get the hook in the proper place, we need to open up this cover here, place one of the four included keys in there, move it to an unlock position and then lower the hatch door there. You can see that we have an arrow pointing up that's going to indicate this cable here, pull that back, it's going to allow it to extend out and then we can place the vinyl coated hook directly into that gap right there on our trunk. We're going to use the ratcheting side handle to just get that line snug for now that why we can position the other three cables.

Now we need to place our bottom hooks. To do so, we're going to repeat the same process, flip up on this lever here, it's going to allow us to gain some slack in the cable. Now in some applications, you're going to have to open the trunk in order to get the hook to fit. For ours today, we found out that we can go to the side of our trunk and get the hook to fit in there and then just slide it to where it needs to be positioned. Once we have it there, we can use the larger dial to operate the lower cable. I'm just going to tighten in up and remove any slack. With our rack in place, we can go and fine tune it, make sure everything is nice and tight and secure and then we can close these locking covers. Now once these are locked in place, you can see how that cover cannot be removed so that nobody can gain access to those little levers, loosen up the cables to remove it from our rack. It's fully locked on there and secured. The Thule Raceway can stay on your vehicle even when you don't have any bikes installed. You just want to make sure that your arms are in a down position. Now we're ready to load up our bike. First thing we need to do, open up the lever to allow us to adjust our arms as needed. Now we want to make sure that our arms are level or slightly inclined. Once we have it set to the correct position, all we got to do is close that lever and that arm is going to be secured in place. Now the next step to loading our bike is to undo the cradle straps. It's going to open up our cradles, allowing them to receive the frame of our bike once we have it placed in there. Now we're ready to load up one of our bikes. We're simply just going to take it, place it onto our frame cradles, now if you come in here you can see that these have little grooves in it that's to accommodate if we have any cables mounted underneath the frame. Once we have that in place, we can simply bring our straps over and tighten them down around the frame of our bike. Go and secure the anti-sway. It's going to prevent the bikes from swaying back and forth making contact with one another. Now with the second bike loaded, we can bring our cable lock system over the frame on our bike, place into the groove right there, lock into place that's going to keep anybody from being able to take this bike off the rack which if you can't this bike off the rack, you're not going to be able to get your first bike off the rack either. Now Thule also includes a nice blue strap, this can be intertwined through the bikes' frames and the bikes' wheels that way it's going to ensure that your bike wheels don't rotate, twist and turn as you're going down the road. Really simple installation, all we're going to do is take it through the wheels here on our bike, we're going to run it through both bikes. Simply take it through the other wheels as well and then we're just going to connect it to itself. Once we have that strap ran through the buckle, we simply just pull on one end, take out any slack within the strap. Now another option for attaching the blue strap is to run it through that lower frame on the Thule Raceway, through the bike frames and simply just run it through the strap. You've got numerous ways on which you can install the blue strap that Thule provides. Just keep in mind that it's meant for additional security. Now that we've gone over the features of the bike rack and showed you how to install it, we'll go ahead and take it out on our test course and show you how it performed in action. First, we're going to hit our slalom course, this is going to show you the side to side movement of the bike rack which simulates evasive maneuvering or having to make sharp turns or corners. Then we're going to hit the alternating bumps course, this is going to show you the twisting action of the bike rack which will simulate going over uneven pavement or hitting a pothole. Finally, we're going to take it through the solid bumps course, this is going to show you the up and down movement of the bike rack which is going to simulate going in and out of your driveway or going over a speed bump. That's going to complete today's review of the the Thule Raceway Pro, Trunk Mounted 2-Bike Rack, part number TH9001PRO. .

Giving it an excellent for ease of use/set up as well as perceived quality. I posses no mechanical ability. At. All. None. I understood this easily and was able to get it set up for my 2015 Accord with little effort and no problems. The videos on the eTrailers web site were a huge help. Rose from ETrailer was the other great help. Seems solid and very secure after mounting two bikes on it. Purchased one Thule adapter bar for my ladies bike. Worked great. 211668

One year later- An Update: Found that the anti-sway rocker cradles which fit vertically tend to bend. I had used the rack for a trip from Metro Detroit to Ludington and back. By the time I returned the vertical cradle was bent from the wind pulling the bike away from the trunk of the car. These guys replaced it. But Im not sure how to prevent it in the future. I am happy with this bike rack and do fee its very secure and stable. Im happy.

2007 Lexus ES 350

Recently bought the Thule Raceway 2 bike carrier to haul my mountain bike on my sedan (and stop stealing the wife's minivan!). As usual, it was delivered very quickly by eTrailer with great customer service. I spent my time hooking it up the first time, but still only took about 20 minutes...I can now get in on and off in just a few minutes easy. On the plus side, it seems very sturdy on my 2007 Lexus ES350 and I have had no issues carrying my mountain bike on highways, side streets, etc. The design is clean, sleek, and the product well constructed overall. The challenges / negatives with this rack: 1) tough to fit a full suspension MTB given the frame geometry (which I knew was a gamble on my part with this or likely any trunk rack)...but I was able to make it fit for my Specialized SJ FSR Comp 29er (without the claw bar, that makes it probably too low to the ground for my comfort). 2) one of the cables on the lower hook locks up periodically when retracting. 3) I do appear to have 2 little indentations in my bumper from where the lower part of the rack was resting, but I can live with it. Bottom line: this trunk rack is a lot easier to put on than most and does the job stylishly well. I'd recommend it. 49568

1991 Ford Edge

I really wanted the TH9001 Pro trunk mount bike rack to work on my 1991 BMW 318i 4 door sedan. The rack is definitely quality design & made with material. But, I found (2) flaws, (1) major one specifically to try to fit the rack to a 1991 BMW 318i. The 1st flaw I found is if it's placed on the trunk set to the manufacturer's suggested opening, (level #5), the rack is in unstable placement to carry a bike. (See photo where it sits on edge of trunk.) So, to try to remedy the problem I changed the opening arm setting to (#7). The upper arm sat more appropriately in the trunk center. BUT, in both setting positions, this is where I discovered the most disappointing (flaw #2). No matter how close or far apart I positioned the upper & lower arms, there was no way I could tighten the lower hook cables short enough to fit underneath the bottom lip of the trunk. There was way too much play / slack in the cables. (See photos). Yes, I'm disappointed that I won't be able to make this bike rack work. Finding a bike rack to fit my BMW 318i has been like looking for a needle in a haystack. 651175

Per Thule, if the rack is set up as directed in the instructions, It will support and carry the bikes just fine. At that setting, the upper straps and the bottom foot of the rack are supporting most of the weight of the bikes and the rack.

Subaru Outback Wagon

It was delivered earlier than expected. This morning I placed it on my Subaru Outback and it was very easy to do. I mounted my 2 bikes without any problem. I did placed the men's bike first, and the woman's bike second. It was very easy for the woman's bike as it was for the men's. I was worried that my woman's bike would be difficult but it wasn't. The padding is adequate and not as hard as other reviewers described. I drove to my destination - about 45 miles away- at a speed of 75 miles per hour and the bike rack did hold tight the whole time. I love the fact that has a key to lack the rack to the car and the bikes to the rack. I will definitely recommend it. Great job design team! 53490

I received my package as promised! I immediately mounted the bike rack and that took only 30 minutes. I did not need any assistance getting it on my vehicle. It fits perfect and does not move around in transit. The only downer is you shouldn't open your trunk because it can damage your trunk. Small price to pay to transport my bike safe and secure. 186107

The Thule Raceway PRO 2-Bike Rack -TH9001PRO- is very sturdy and pretty easy to install. I really like that it locks to the car and also has lock to keep the bikes secure. Only 1 tiny negative ...the install instructions that were included didn't have the latest car models, but I went online and found the updated instructions that included my 2016 Make Model. etrailer shipped my order very quickly and they even followed up via email. Replacement rack delivered to my home in manufacturer’s box inside shipping box just as would be expected, thank you. The replacement rack fitted well and quite safe to the 2013 OB. The first one sent out had a broken piece of plastic, so I called customer service and spoke with Rebecca. She was so nice, polite, and helpful and had a new one sent out immediately the following day. Arrived in two days! The customer service at etrailer.com is amazing! The new bike rack is awesome, easy to use, and I was surprised at how solid and strong it is. Even better, this "newer" rack was black, unlike the older white one. It matches my bike and contrasts well with my white BMW. I highly recommend this product and this company, thank you! 99953

2016 Porsche Cayenne

I previously owned a Thule trailer hitch style bike rack but when I traded in my SUV I didn't want to incur the expense of adding another hitch so started a search for hatchback style rack. Thule builds quality products and their customer service was excellent when I had a problem so I stayed with them. I own a Porsche Cayenne and was very concerned about how the rack would mount but took a chance on the Thule 9001Pro 2 Bike Carrier. The rack comes mostly assembled with the exception of the two snap on anti-sway cage mounts and the rubber ripple straps which were easily added. Mounting did not take too much time, the directions are very good but I was being really cautious. My only concern involves the stress the upper cables may impart on the exterior shade that overhangs the rear window. The cable does include a non scratch guard to protect the vehicle but I am worried about the stress on that lip. That would be a deal breaker. I mounted my bike and took a test drive to check it out. The rack is rock steady with no sway whatsoever. I fish tailed a bit did heavy breaking and reached 75mph with no sign of movement. My hitch style rack swayed quite a bit. The only minor disappointment is the locking cable only works on the outside bike. When I carry a single I keep it on the interior mount closest to the vehicle. Ought to be able to lock either bike mount, of course if you carry two and lock the outside one the inner is safe. The rack is a quality product, well built, easily mounted and road steady. I am very satisfied. 425104

2011 Kia Soul

I bought this for the ease of installing. I've seen other bike racks that are just a pain to get on the car, and the bikes on the rack and I wanted something easy. I drive a 2011 Kia Soul with a spoiler. Unfortunately, the top hooks and cable don't go under the spoiler. After an hour of pushing and prodding and researching online, I gave it one more try before sending it back. Luckily, I stumbled upon a solution. By pulling the plastic cable covering back, you're able to detach the hook from the cable, slide the cable under the spoiler then reassemble the two pieces on the other side of the spoiler. Once I figured that out, putting it on the car and the bikes on the rack was super easy. I'd definitely recommend this rack for Soul drivers and others. 34880

2016 Honda Accord

Just installed on my 2016 Honda Accord Sport with no problems. The design is ingenious -- no flapping straps, only 4 attachments to trunk, and with locking features. Regarding latter, however, I suspect that the locking covers are either plastic or very lightweight metal and could easily be pried off, exposing the cable releases. So, I would not leave rack and bikes on car in places I was concerned about theft. 288308

I just received the Thule Bike Carrier and it certainly impresses me based on my first impression, sooooo easy to install and super stable plus I can't say enough great things about etrailer.com. I literally had the carrier in one days time and they sent several informative emails letting me know the status of my order over that day. I will say that the onsite information about the carrier should be more clear about the fact the if you have a womens bike you will need an adapter which is only $37.95 but it would have been helpful to know that so I could have included that order in the carrier order. 103995

2013 Honda Accord

Bought this carrier for a 2013 Honda Accord. The on-line videos for this product were very informative so much that I didn't even refer to the instruction manual for the 1st install (which only took a few minutes). The ratcheting cables tie this down such that it is very secure and stable. Like that you can lock access to release lever covers. One minor complaint is that anti-sway cradles snap on and can come off when storing in your trunk. 275011

So far so good. The bike rack arrived on time and it was the correct one I ordered. It seems to fit my car rather well. My only worry is that over time it will scratch my paint but the suggestion that I clean the surface before attaching the rack should prevent that. Overall a great job. I would suggest your company to a friend. Thanks again. 33929

Will this fit a 1998 BMW 328I Convertible and a 2013 Toyota Highlander??My wife has a ladies bike. Will this work for her bike?

-- comment by: Barry - 09/09/2013

2045

The rack will not work with the convertible. Because of the convertible and where it folds down, there is not a good place to secure the top straps. Thule also does not list it as a fit for the Highlander. What you could do is a hitch mounted setup for both. For the BMW, Curt hitch C11177 would work. For the Highlander, Curt Hitch 13534. With a hitch on each vehicle, you can use a hitch mounted rack. I have added a link to all the racks that will fit with both of those hitches. You could also look into roof racks with the Highlander, but that would not help with the BMW convertible.

2009 Honda Civic

This is an awesome product. It is very easy to install and well built. The cable system holds the rack securely to my 2009 Honda Civic Si 4dr. The rack easily clears the factory spoiler. The only issue I have is with using the Thule adapter bar for my mountain bike. If you position the bike to use the anti-sway bar, then the bike rack cradle is not wide enough to accommodate the end of the adapter bar. I contacted Thule about this and they acknowledge the poor fit and suggested I reposition the bike and to not use the anti-sway bar. This was not the solution I was hoping for. Etrailer.com is working with me to find an adapter bar that will fit properly. 96158

Very easy to install and the instructions are very detailed (unlike most technical documentation these days). Etrailer was very organized and with personalized service; you never find this with companies now only worried about the mighty dollar. I think other companies need to follow etrailers business solutions... I.E. Uhaul, Lowes, Home Depot, Pep Boys and so on and so on!!!!!!!!! 45227

Everything about the product is top notch. Delivery was right on time, all the parts were there, it looks great on my car. Bikes can be locked to the rack, the bike wheels don't sway. It's designed so as to not scratch the car. It can be folded down when not in use. I wanted something that allows me to easily load and unload my bikes and this product provides that. Now, I don't have to take the wheels off when transporting my bikes! 40932

Thule I purchased Thule Raceway PRO 2-Bike Rack - Trunk Mount.–SEPT. 3rd 2019 I hauled my bikes over some of the toughest roads in NY to see how well the Raceway Pro-2 would hold up. I kept looking out of my rearview mirror to make sure our bikes were not laying in the road or another car's windshield but I had to know if the videos and reviews were true. I gave the Raceway Pro 2-BIKE RACK 5 stars since it behaved as advertised. I did not realize how heavy the bike rack was but it is a well-constructed product.  Since gaining confidence in the stability /strength of the Raceway Pro I have taken my bikes on the highway, over bumpy roads with potholes and the bikes held steady and did not sway. I can also say the Swagman Bike Frame Adapter Bar I purchased for my wife’s bike worked as advertised. With the bike key locking method we felt safe enough to leave the bikes locked in a parking lot while we had breakfast.  I recommend Raceway Pro for those who enjoy bicycle riding and want their bikes to be secure while traveling. I would suggest however to those who are frequent bike riders to purchase additional replacement stretch bands because I don’t know the strength of the bands long term.  It’s always good to have a spare should a rubber band snaps and you don’t have a spare.  Just a precaution.  Safe travels  711439

This is the easiest to use bike rack ever! It is compatible with a Prius and Prius C hatchback unlike our old bike rack. This is a very well fitting rack that I feel is sturdy and secure enough to trust on long car trips. It is a relief to not have to stare at the rear view mirror constantly, in fear that the rack will fall off or shift positions! Thank you for a very well thought out design and solid construction. 664610

We found out after putting on a hitch that hitch carriers disable kick gate openers on our Murano. I needed some suggestions for options so I called and spoke to a real person. She was very helpful and took my order right on the phone. We are new to non-hitch carriers. The bike carrier looks well built with clever engineering. It came in 2 days. Looking forward to using it. 554272

Just re-attached our Thule Raceway Pro rack for summer rides...easy, fast, and secure...super product that's worth every cent of the purchase price. Have a 2016 Mazda CX-5...we leave the rack on the car this time of year for the convenience because the rear lift-gate opens just fine with the rack in place...no bikes, of course. 541211

This rack is great. It took around 10 min to unbox, review instructions, then mount. Very stable at speed, easy to adjust and the quality is evident. etrailer's price was very good and shipping was superb - the rack shipped the day we ordered and arrived only two days later (one day earlier than scheduled). The car fit guarantee and on-line videos provided peace-of-mind and demonstrated not only how to mount the rack (saved time when it arrived) but etrailer's commitment to customer knowledge and satisfaction. Wonderful store, wonderful rack. 522792

One year Updated Review: I can't remember my first review but I do know it was positive. That said, I'm still in love with my Thule 2-Bike Rack! It has held up beautifully with me feeling relaxed knowing my bikes are secure and safe as I transport them to and fro! Within the next two years, I will be in the market for a new vehicle and as such, I'm thinking about the type vehicle and all the 'accessories' I will expect. One of my 'must haves' WILL be another Thule Bike rack similar to what I purchased prior in order to accommodate my new vehicle! I will NOT consider any other product and I'm so grateful a friend recommended I look into Thule for my first purchase of bike racks! It may seem silly, but I observe ALL cars passing me on the streets that have bike racks...... I think to myself, 'mine is BETTER than theirs'!!! Lol. 483952

I had bought this TH9001PRO for my 2015 Nissan Rogue Select and after a year of usage, I must say it's still as durable, reliable, and as effective as ever.... Just don't lose your keys!!! And it was this EXACT feature that drew me into purchasing this product....the fact that it came with secured locking chambers for the cable dials to loosen or fasten the rack onto the vehicle. Theft is unfortunately one the saddest parts where I'm from and so far, that hasn't been an issue! It's money well spent for me to lug around my hybrid bicycle for many nice leisure adventures!! 360080

Ordered this Thule to attach to the trunk lid and the adjustability definitely allows it to fit many different size trunks. There is more than enough paint protection built into the bumpers where it touches the paint on the vehicle and the flat hooks on the ends are well protected as well. Installation is extremely quick and easy once you determine the correct angle between the top and bottom and if you leave the arms locked in place, all you do is extend and retract the cable arms to mount and dismount. The rack is slightly heavy and cumbersome but you get used to it and the functionality and ease of use far outweigh the cumbersomeness. As far as the bicycle hold downs, they are certainly different but certainly work and do not scratch the bike frame. The only negative I would say would be certain bikes may require a separate stabilization post so the bike does not rock back and forth. Overall while it may be more expensive than other offerings, it is certainly worth the money if only for ease of use and paint protection! 341568

The customer service department responded to my inquiry very quickly with a suggestion for my Kia Soul. The product arrived in excellent condition. The install was very easy and took approximately 30 minutes, including going in and out of our home twice to get the bikes. The straps tighten easily and provide great stability. We did a test run and did notice the straps should be tightened again after the bikes are loaded and checked again after a short drive. There were some adjustments that needed made again to guarantee the most secure trip. I've been using the TH9001PRO for over a year now. The rack is superb: very well made, secure on the back of my car and exceptionally reliable. Initially, I ran into some trouble when the car speed exceeded 60 MPH--the bike needed to be anchored with velcro straps to keep it from shifting in the wind. (some good suggestions from George at etrailer). That's been the only problem & easily remedied. All-in-all 5 stars. 281387

IT's great! PROS: Very stable and secure on the back of the car, even with two bikes. You can lock the bikes on very easily. Nicely made product. CON: Not super easy to take on and off the car, because it is heavy, although very do-able once you get the hang of it. Car: 2013 Subaru Outback 250198

This is terrific bike rack. Even folks working at the bike shop think it is so great to have a lockable trunk mount rack. I have gotten the hang of attaching to the back of the car so it only takes a minute. Much easier than trying to get bikes in the roof, which my friends do. I really like you dont have to take the wheel off the bike everyone you want to move it. The rack is super solid. I do highway driving without any concern. With just one bike on the rack Ill put a nylon strap around the front tire and the frame so that the tire doesnt swivel around in the wind. Highly recommended!!

Excellent choice for me. Easy set up. Cable attachments eliminate need for separate tethered puck. Can use this rack on my 08 Mazda 5 and our 04 Grand Marquis. Plus, my daughter can use on her 07 Mazda 3. The bike is stable on the rack and the rack very secure on the car. Be sure to slip the straps under any externally routed shifting and brake cables. This rack has exceeded my expectations. I did not want to mount a rack on top of my vehicle and because of my auto design I had limited options. I wanted reliability, functionality and durability and this rack exceeds in all areas. The only issue I had was that one of the holding straps ripped after the third use. The straps possibly could be made of more durable rubber. But because of the excelent customer service of this company where I purchased this rack, they arranged for replacement straps to be sent from the manufacturer. I am a happy customer who now gets to transport my bike to many adventures. 220186

  • Carrying a Womens Bike on the Thule Raceway PRO Trunk Mount Rack
  • It can be difficult to carry a women's bike on hanging style bike racks, like the Thule Raceway PRO # TH9001PRO. If you can get the arms inside the frame the bikes sit very awkward and are difficult to get on and off. The solution is a bike frame adapter bar. The bar installs between the seat post and the handlebar stem creating a horizontal bar just like a typical men's bike has. Pretty much every bike rack manufacturer offers one and I've linked our complete selection. I favor...
