Note: This dual-arm rack reduces the need for a bike frame adapter bar (sold separately) to mount a children's, women's, or alternative frame bicycle. Most step-through bikes, dual-suspension bikes, and small children's bikes will require a bike adapter bar.

Hollywood Racks Over-the-Top Bike Rack on Chevrolet Malibu

Don't let your spoiler spoil your fun. The Over-the-Top bike rack lets you carry 2 bikes on the back of your Chevrolet Malibu without the fear of the rack's mounting straps or frame damaging your spoiler. And it works great for traditional vehicle trunks too.

High-Rise Frame for Chevrolet Malibus with Spoilers

Many trunk-mounted bike racks will not fit a vehicle that has a spoiler because the rack's mounting straps will make contact with - and cause damage to - the spoiler. The Over-the-Top is designed to provide adequate clearance to accommodate most spoilers - particularly those found on newer SUVs, minivans, and hatchbacks. The high-rise frame extends up and over the top of your trunk or hatch, and you can attach the top 2 straps at angles that keep them from making contact with your spoiler.

With multiple mounting options, you can attach the straps to your vehicle's hatch, trunk, roof rack crossbars, or raised roof-rack side rails. If your hatchback has a spoiler, then the Over-the-Top is the bike transport solution for you.

Hook Attachment on Naked Roof or Standard Trunk

Hollywood Racks Over-the-Top Bike Rack Naked Roof Attachment

If your vehicle has a naked roof, use the standard straps attached to the upper frame of the bike rack. Just secure the rubber-coated metal hooks to your trunk and adjust the tension of the straps with the cam buckles.

Hollywood Racks Over-the-Top Bike Rack on Standard Car Trunk

To attach the rack to a standard trunk with or without a spoiler, just fold down the high-rise frame and rest it on your trunk lid. Then secure the rack with the standard hook attachments.

D-Ring Strap Attachment for Roof Rack or Side Rails

Hollywood Racks Over-the-Top Bike Rack Roof Rack Attachment

If your vehicle's roof has crossbars or raised side rails, use the included D-ring straps to attach the Over-the-Top to the roof.

Hollywood Racks Over-the-Top Bike Rack Roof Rack Attachment

First, position the included canvas pads between the D-ring straps and the rails or crossbars on your roof, and then wrap the straps around the bars.

Then replace the standard straps on the upper frame of the bike rack with the included quick-connect straps.

Connect the D-rings on the roof rack straps to the hooks on the quick-connect straps, and then adjust the tension of the straps.

Fold the built-in canvas pads around the straps and hooks to protect your roof from scratches and scuffs.

Hatch Anchor Attachment

Hollywood Racks Over-the-Top Bike Rack Hatch Attachment

If your vehicle doesn't have a place to anchor the top 2 straps, use the included hatch anchors. With the trunk open, thread the hatch anchors through the gap between the trunk and your vehicle's roof, placing the anchors inside your vehicle and the D-rings on the roof. Then close the hatch.

Hollywood Racks Over-the-Top Bike Rack Hatch Attachment

Next, replace the standard straps on the upper frame of the bike rack with the included quick-connect straps. Then connect the D-rings on the hatch anchors to the hooks on the quick-connect straps. Built-in canvas pads keep the hooks and D-rings from scratching your vehicle's roof. Cam buckles let you adjust the tension of the straps.

Adjustment Hubs and Base Strap Attachment System

Hollywood Racks Over-the-Top Bike Rack Adjustment Hubs

To fit the rack to your Chevrolet Malibu, use 4 of the interlocking hubs with quick-release levers. Two of these hubs let you quickly adjust the position of the base to ensure that the rack is seated properly on your bumper, trunk, or hatch. The other 2 hubs let you adjust the angle of the high-rise fame.

Hollywood Racks Over-the-Top Bike Rack Strap Attachment to Chevrolet Malibu

Four sturdy vinyl straps with rubber-coated metal hooks let you mount the rack to your vehicle. Just loosely position the straps around the base of your trunk or hatch door. Flip the levers up to open the adjustment hubs and rotate the rack's base to the desired position. Then line up the teeth on each hub, push the levers down, and rotate the levers until the hubs are snug. Repeat this process to adjust the rack's high-rise frame, making sure that there is plenty of clearance between your spoiler and the rack.

Once the bike frame is adjusted as needed, you can tighten down the straps. Tensioners on the rack's bottom 2 straps ensure a snug fit at the base. Four foam pads on the rack's base and two on the upper frame help protect your car's finish from scratches and abrasions.

Adjustable Dual Arms

Hollywood Racks Over-the-Top Bike Rack Arms

This dual-arm rack supports your bikes better than a single-arm rack, and with this style of rack, it's less likely that you'll need an adapter bar to carry women's, children's, and alternative frame bikes. However, an adapter bar (HRBA-PRO - sold separately) may still be required for some bikes. The adjustment hubs on the arms have quick-release levers so that you can move the arms up or down - independent of the base and each other - to ensure that your bikes are level during transport.

Anti-Sway Cradles

Hollywood Racks Over-the-Top Bike Rack Anti-Sway Cradle

Rubber anti-sway cradles with straps firmly grip your bike's frame at 3 points, helping to prevent front-to-back sway. This minimizes bike-to-bike and bike-to-car contact during transit. The cradles rotate and slide along the bike rack arms, so you can easily adjust and space them based on the type and number of bikes you're transporting. And you can use the integrated safety strap to reduce the movement of handlebars and wheels during transport.

Folding Design

Hollywood Racks Over-the-Top Bike Rack Folded Up on Chevrolet Malibu

The Over-the-Top's arms can be folded down against your vehicle, and when it's not on your car, the rack can be folded flat for compact storage.

A security strap and a cable lock (sold separately) are recommended to deter theft of the rack and your bikes. The strap will secure the rack to your vehicle, and the cable lock will secure your bikes to the rack.

Video Transcript for Hollywood Racks Over-the-Top 2 Bike Rack Review

Well take the strap and seat it in between the rear hatch and the back of the vehicle. Well slide it up and rest the ring on top of the vehicle and repeat the same steps for the other hatch strap. Now, with both straps in position we can simply shut the hatch door. Now with the straps in place, you can pull them out and theyll pinch between the hatch and the back of the vehicle to prevent the strap from coming out. The second way you can attach the bike rack to the vehicle is by the side rail mount. We have these adapter straps here, which we will slide on the underside of the side rail, pad side down. Theres this little tab on one end of the strap. Well take the D-ring and insert it into a 90 degree angle through the other D-ring. We can pull it tight. This pad will rest on the side rail to prevent any scratches and abrasions and the hooks from the bike rack will attach here. Now, the other way you can attach it if youre not comfortable with attaching it to your side rails are the cross bar mounts. Now youll use the same strap which you would use to attach to the side rail to the cross bar, which youll do the same exact way. Go over here remembering the pad side down, inserting the D-ring at a 90 degree angle into the other D-ring and then pulling it tight. Now if you were actually going to install the strap onto the crossbar you want to make sure that the straps are inward of the connection point onto the side rails, but just for this demonstration purpose well just show you how this attaches and then the hook of the bike rack will then hook onto the D-ring and then pull tight giving you a strong hold preventing contact from your spoiler. Now keep in mind when using the straps on the side rail of the vehicle or on your crossbars the straps will need to be symmetrical, so one on each side. Were now ready to install it onto the vehicle. Well flip out the three black levers on each side of the bike rack. Now well go ahead and set the bottom part onto the bumper. Well then unfold the larger part as well as the smaller part of the bike rack which the smaller part will need to be as far up on the rear hatch as possible to give us clearance of these straps to not interfere or put any downward pressure on our spoiler. Once we have it in position we can then clamp down the levers. Now if the levers seem too easy to clamp down and theres some space in between the gears theres a knob on the other side of the black lever that you can simply just turn to tighten any slack. Now that we have it pretty much centered well go ahead and start off with showing you how you connect it straight to the connection point between the rear hatch and the vehicle. Well just be using the clips which would simply fit right into the slot. So well do the top straps first. Well help prevent the bike rack from falling off while youre trying to install it. Now these hooks are coated in a rubber paint, which will help protect your vehicle from getting scratched. Once both of the hooks are in place we can then pull our strap making sure its not twisted. Now you dont want to tighten the straps down too tight as that could pull up and put upward pressure on since we dont have the bottom straps hooked in yet.Now with this done we can go ahead and take the other straps to go around the side of the rear hatch as well as the bottom of the rear hatch. Well start off with the bottom hooks. Once again these hooks are coated in a rubber paint so it will help protect your vehicle from getting scratched. Now at times you may need to open up your hatch to be able to get the hooks into position. Now with those in place we can tighten down our straps. Now that the bottom one is in place you can go ahead with the side straps. Now you want to kind of get the side straps as parallel with the connection point on the bike rack, remembering not to get them too tight as we dont want to offset the bike rack. Now that weve kind of made sure our straps are all in place, reduce the majority of the slack and made sure they werent all twisted we can now go ahead and fully tighten all the straps and secure the bike rack to the vehicle. Now I went ahead and started reducing as much slack in the bottom that way we can fully tighten them at the top. Then go back down to the bottom and finish off with the sides. Now with everything all tightened down and secured we can just secure the excess straps by either tying the straps to a piece of the bike rack or by folding it up and pinching it between the connection strap and the rear hatch. Now once again you may see that the strap is making contact with the top portion of the spoiler, but what is most important is that the bike rack is not putting any downward pressure on the spoiler. Now with the bike rack fully secured to the vehicle well go ahead and show you how the top straps attach to each different type of connection.First, well start with the hatch straps. Well first need to just loosen up the top straps and remove the hook from the space between the rear hatch and the top of the car. Well then fully remove this strap as well be installing a different strap which will connect to this attachment D-ring. Well take this quick strap adapter, which has the padded protection pad. Well take the end of this feed it through this buckle and as you can see theres a hook right here on the inside of this pad. Let this rest on here. Well take the D-ring, connect it to that hook and then pull the strap tight. Well then close the hook and loop fasteners. As you can see this will further protect your care from getting scratched. Well then just repeat the same process for the other side. Now with both straps attach we can then just tighten them down. Well then just secure the excess slack as we did for the previous attachment. Well now go ahead and show you how to attach the bike rack to the raised side rail adapter. Like we showed you earlier well thread this around the side rail with the pad side down, insert the D-ring at a 90 degree angle and pull it through. We can then untie this, loosen up this strap with the same clip that we used for the hatch mount. Well come up here and attach this mount. Well just pull the strap kind of tight and again close this so we dont scratch the side rail or the paint. Now remember this is just for demonstration purposes so if you did use the side rail mount you wouldnt have the rear hatch connection point in there. Now well move to the other side of the vehicle and repeat the same steps. Now that we have both straps in place we can finish tightening them down to secure the bike rack to the vehicle. We can then secure the excess straps and were ready to go. The last way were going to be showing you is how to attach it to your vehicles crossbars. Now we already had it hooked up with the raised side rail connection point so well simply undo this connection and take the anchor strap which was previously around the side rail and go around the crossbar. Now remember youll go with the fabric side, pad down to protect your crossbar from any scratches or abrasions. Wrap it around like we did and insert the D-ring into the other D-ring.Well then take the clip with the fabric pad around it and well make that connection point. Now we can then close this which will again help to secure the two connection points together and prevent it from damaging your car. Now again you dont want to tighten this strap too tight yet as that will cause the bike rack to twist to one side of the vehicle. So well move over to the other side and repeat the same process. Now with both straps in place and semi-tightened down we can go ahead and completely finish tightening them down. Now with everything all tightened down we can then tie down or secure the excess strap. Now with the straps secured to the crossbars you can see that we have a lot of room in between the straps and the rear spoiler. Now that weve gone over each of the four different types of attachments, you can see that for each attachment point we have a different amount of room between the straps and the vehicle which can accommodate for different size spoilers. Now with our bike rack all secure to our vehicle were ready to load up our bike. Well first flip out the bottom set of black levers to bring out our dual arm. Now the dual arms do need to be level or slightly angled up to ensure that the bike will ride correctly. Once we have this in place well lock our arms remembering that if the gears are a little bit loose or if the levers are not locking down tight enough you can turn these knobs on the inside of the levers to tighten them down more.Well then take our bike, set it into the frame cradles and bring the strap around the frame. Now youll want to make sure that the cradle with the anti-sway part is up against the bottom portion of the feet post of the bike frame. Well then bring the anti-sway strap around as well as the other two remaining straps. Now one important thing to remember when carrying one bike is that it needs to be loaded closest to the vehicle. Now that our bikes are all loaded up well go ahead and take it for a test drive to show you how it looks driving down the road. With that, that will complete todays review of the Hollywood Racks over the top truck mounted two bike carrier for vehicles with spoilers, part number HRF2.

2012 Honda CR-V

After much research, we decided to purchase this bike rack. We have a 2012 Honda CRV. The rear hatch has a small spoiler/rear tail light at the top and we were concerned about using a rack that would push against it. This rack didn't do that and based on that feature we purchased the Hollywood rack. The video explaining how to assemble it make it easy to relate to the directions and we had it up and ready in a very short time. We have used it multiple times and absolutely love it! The bikes are securely attached. I did read a review about the concern about what to do with the extra straps...we used plastic zip ties or velcro ties to secure them. Yes, this rack did cost more than the ones in the sporting goods store, but we think it was well worth it. We are very pleased with this purchase and highly recommend it. 138241

Hi Linda, we have exactly this same kind of car. Im concerned that this bike rack will interfere with the rear windshield wiper, which apparently can automatically turn on if your front wipers are on and you drive in reverse Ive never tried this, but some people on a CRV owners forum talked about this. Also Im concerned that the weight of the bikes might press against a weak park of the rear hatch door and damage it again, I dont know from experience that this area is weak, but its something that was raised in the owners forum. Do you know anything about this?ThanksStefanie S.

Hi Stefanie S.,We, too, were concerned about the rear wiper while going in reverse. To ensure that we dont have an issue, we will be putting the wipers in the off position whenever the CRV is going in reverse. The weight of the bikes have not caused any issues on the exterior of our vehicle. Hope this helps!

I was excited to find a rack that would work with my 2016 Subaru Forester with a spoiler, but after using it was frustrated that I had to modify my wife's bike to make it work. If I was not leaving on vacation and had to use it I would have sent it back. It is a good quality rack and overall I am pleased with it, but you need to engineer it for women's bike too. My man's bike was an easy fit, but my wife's Trek 7100 17.5" frame design did not go on easy. The placement of the water bottle holder did not allow me to attach the bike. I had to take it off and place the water bottle on the upper frame bar. I do not like drilling into my bikes. You may want to figure out what women's frames do not easily work with your rack and warn the buyer that it will need modification. (See pictures) I also noted that you never show any women's bikes in any of your illustrations. So yes, for a man's bike this is a great rack to carry bikes when your vehicle has a spoiler. I'd give it a five start review. If you have a women's bike think again or be prepared to modify your bike. 405106

Thanks for your recent review about your Hollywood Racks Over-the-Top bike rack. I completely understand the struggles of installing a womans bike on this bike rack. There is an adapter bar that is designed for this exact purpose. I see that you were able to install your wifes bike on the bike rack, and kudos for that. We do reverence in a note on the bike rack page that an adapter bar may be needed, and the adapter bar HRBA-PRO is linked as a related item. Note: This dual-arm rack reduces the need for a bike frame adapter bar sold separately to mount a childrens, womens, or alternative frame bicycle. However, to mount certain bikes or to keep your bike level on the rack, a bike adapter bar may be required. Most step-through bikes, dual-suspension bikes, and small childrens bikes will require a bike adapter bar. I have included a link to this page for your reference and you can see the use of an adapter bar on other styles of bikes too. Thanks for your feedback and have a great day!

2010 Chevy Camaro

I bought this for my 2010 Chevy Camaro. I like it a lot. I wish the instructions were clearer for putting on the Camaro. Even though etrailer said it would fit perfectly, the bottom rollers cover my license plate - not sure that's legit and I think I could get pulled over for that. However, other than that, it seems to fit, and I used it to carry two mountain bikes on the hightway, doing about 75 mph for about 2.5 hours (yeah, I could probably get pulled over for that too). It was nice and snug, didn't damage my trunk and didn't touch the spoiler on the back. It didn't detract from the cool factor of the camaro either. :) Better instructions - that would be great. I had my bike shop guys show me how to put it on and he had a little trouble figuring it out too. 137747

I installed this on my Prius V, went on in about 20 minutes, used it today to carry my bikes. They did not move! Highly recommend this product. 201132

Great!!! Over the year I have obviously removed and put back on several times and it still stays tight. Excellent investment....

2012 Mazda 3

First of all - I live in Toronto Canada and I was so impressed with how fast this item was shipped... It came in less than 5 days! As soon as it arrived we put it on my 2012 Mazda3 sport (hatchback), and it was perfect. Easy to install, secure - we drove straight to the cottage with our two bikes attached (one men's bike, one ladies) without a glitch! Originally I was going to have a hitch installed on my car so that I could buy a bike rack that I had seen at Costco but apparently according to my car dealer - you cannot put a hitch on my car and then they offered me a roof rack which would have costed me triple what this product did! So glad I made this purchase! Awesome customer service - so glad I found this website! 207723

Bike rack was delivered promptly. Instructions were clear and not confusing to me at all. I owned a Hollywood rack for a sedan I used to own so I was basically a step up on installing the rack to my current vehicle. This rack fits like a glove on our 2016 Honda CRV. After installation on the vehicle, mounted my back on the rack and drove to the bike shop to drop bike off for a tune up. No issues at all. The straps are certainly long enough but the Velcro ties included with rack allow you to manage the additional strap length without the straps flapping all over the place. Mounting my wife's bike which is a mono shock was somewhat difficult at first but it mounted securely on the rack. Very satisfied with product. 433078

2007 BMW X3

Have a 2007 BMWX3 and was told by the bike shop, I only had one choice but to get a hitch installed because the top spoiler was made of fibre glass and would break with a typical rear bike rack......well so glad I found this bike rack!! Just installed it this past weekend (was so easy and sturdy) and worked great with my mountain bike!!! So happy with it!!! So much better than spending $600 for a hitch install! 126621

The service & shipping status updates were prompt and professional. The instructional video on how to install the Over-the-Top carrier to my 2014 Toyota RAV4 was very helpful. Since this rack can be attached to roof cross-bars, we will also be using it on my wife's Subaru Outback. I did wind up buying some velcro straps to gather in the excess straps. Overall an excellent experience. 93759

After searching a bike rack for my Toyota Sinenna 2011.... The Hollywood over the top bike rack seems my only choice. I dont have the hitch installed. My question is... it is only a 2 bike rack. But usually I have at least 3 bikes. So, can I open my mini vans backdoor when the Hollywood over the top bike rack is installed? Thanks

It not be advisable to open the door with the rack installed. It would end up shifting out of place. It would be better to use a roof mounted bike rack for the 3rd bike if your van is equipped with a set of roof rack crossbars. If not, adding a hitch and using a hitch mounted bike rack would be the best and probably least expensive way to carry 3 or more bikes.

Just got my rack yesterday and mounted it. Discovered that in placing the side straps on first while still holding the rack in position, it helps to use making tape to hold the strap hooks in place until the straps are tightened. The rest was easy, except the safety strap. Have not figured out how to route the strap through the buckle so it is easy to tighten and stay in place. Rack and bikes are secure but front forks are free to rotate. Secured parts of both bikes together with velcro straps. Yes, they touched but they did not move or rub. Putting two bikes on and taking them off took me five minutes. So far, so good. 420581

Used this for the first time today to transport two hybrid bikes. The bikes end up being pretty close together. I had to work with it a little bit to keep the pedal on the one bike from hitting the back of my 2015 Outback. The handlebars of the bike closest to the vehicle have nowhere to go, but through the spokes on the outer bike, and the front wheel of the outer bike is against the derailleur of the bike closest to the vehicle. The bikes and rack were incredibly stable and the bikes barely moved once mounted in the rack and on the move. I found the installation video on this site very helpful. 409651

I needed a carrier to fit over a plastic spoiler on my lexus 400 h. Bike stores near me said nothing would work and I'd need an expensive trailer hitch or roof rack. I found this one and it's perfect. It adjusts so I can attach it several different ways and holds my two bikes well and doesnt rub the car. Only complaint is the learning curve on getting it set up and attached and it's a little hard to open the ratchets to position the various arms- I managed to pinch my finger. But overall I'm thrilled and like the fact it will fit both my cars. I feel like I got 2 racks for one reasonable price. 121841

2016 Jeep Cherokee

I am using my F2 on a 2016 Jeep Cherokee Limited that has a spoiler. I am very pleased with how easy it was to install the carrier. It is flexible enough that I can see how it will be adaptable to a wide range of vehicles so it may be the last one I ever have to buy. My initial trips have shown the rack to be sturdy and much easier to load that my previous rack. I also like the anti-sway grips on the vertical seat post. The only suggestion would be some kind of a locking device to lock the rack to the car. I can easily cable the bikes to each other and the rack. 268999

We got this to go on a 2018 Honda HRV, it arrived in 48hrs, fully assembled. Our car has a non metal spoiler so figuring out how to do the initial installation was a bit tricky, good instructions helped since I am not very handy. It took me about 45 minutes to get it attached the first time but once it was on it is solid as a tank!! No issues what so ever as to anything coming loose or even moving at highway speeds. Not inexpensive but also not cheap. Once we got the initial set up subsequent attachments are quick and easy. Highly recommended 475629

2011 Toyota Sienna

I have a Toyota Highlander with spoiler and needed a rack that would not damage the spoiler. This rack accomplishes that and seems to be well built. I wish it were designed so that one person could install it alone but if you attach the rack to the luggage rack as I want to, doing it alone is almost impossible. I found it difficult to rotate and lock the arms the bikes rest on by myself- so I am leaving them extended and locked even when not in use. Also, I wish there was a way to lock it thus making it less tempting for thieves to steal. 186169

Honda CR-V

The HRF2 was the only unit I could use for my Honda CR-V. Although it was not a brand name I recognized, I read a review on the etrailer website that said it was a quality unit. They were right. It was a little difficult setting it up for the first time, but the instructions were easy and accurate and once it's set up it's easy to remove and install. It is a well built unit and I trust it with my new (expensive) bikes. Also, they expedited shipment without a request from me which shows me how much they care about their customers! 135215

Just installed this on our Prius V. Relatively easy to install. Online video was a great help! We used the straps that go inside the hatch to avoid any hooks best the spoiler. Took two bikes for a test drive and it seemed good. Didn't see any movement. A bit of a challenge to get both bikes situated correctly. So far so good! 267263

Just got the rack installed over the weekend and it works wonderfully. It is a very versatile rack that would probably fit on most vehicles, but definitely solves the problem of clearing the rear spoiler on our SUV. Very sturdy, well put together product. Initially I had a difficult time finding the right bike rack for our car but once I came across the etrailer.com website I found what I was looking for right away. The customer service was excellent, the staff is knowledgable, and the prices are great! 144233

Well built and very sturdy. Really like the lever handles to adjust the angles of the various arms. Comes with straps/attachments for multiple attachment techniques. The instructions are detailed and relatively easy to follow - I say relatively easy because they are thorough and cover everything so you spend a little time getting oriented. When mounted on the vehicle it is a very solid mount - I've had other strap mounted bike racks and this is head and shoulders above the others I've had. 313522

2010 BMW X3

This bike rack has worked perfectly on my 2010 BMW X3. It is easy to use, sturdy yet lightweight, and has caused no damage with 2 bikes attached. The product was reasonably priced and the customer support at this company is also excellent. I'm pretty sure this is the only place to find a rack that works with cars with plastic spoilers like mine, so buying this rack is far more economical than the alternatives like a hitch or a roof system. 308188

Fairly easy to install. Had to call help line as video/instructions show you mounting rack to bike while hatch is closed. Hooks will not insert to hatch when closed. Was told to hook rack on while hatch is open. Not easy to do, as you have to hold up rack from rear bumper while closing, or hatch will automatically open if item is on bumper when closing. Difficult to hold 4 straps/hooks while holding up rack and trying to close hatch. 414429

2014 Honda Accord Touring

Very pleased with the Hollywood Bike Rack arrived in 2 days. Just before our trip. I have been looking for a long time for a Versatile bike rack that would fit on our car (2014 Honda Accord Touring) and SUV (2014 Audi Q5 3.0T) .I Was reluctant to mount a hitch on both vehicles. A friend mentioned to check out etrailers web site. Installation was a breeze and had no problems with bikes all straps stayed tight on our 700 + mile trip. 223164

Works very well once you figure out how to configure it--just have to configure once and you use two straps with the rubber stoppers (stoppers fit inside the hatch--anyway, seems to work fine, but sometimes the straps hooking on each side of hatch can move down and lateral stability lessened--I used tape below each strap hook and that kept them from moving--just did 2000 miles with 2 bikes and it worked well. 282899

It was rather difficult getting it set up and secured, plenty of straps and attachment ends. Once I got the rack setup correctly, I marked the locations so the 2nd install will be much easier. had to rethink the strapping connections with travel, but again, once I got it right, the return trip did not require any adjustments, stopped to check, all was secure. 406958

This worked very well on my Lexus RX350 with roof racks. Unfortunately, it isn't as friendly on my wive's Acura RDX without roof racks. • Bike Rack Recommendation for 2018 Honda CR-V that Allows Rear Cargo Door to Open
  • The only bike rack solution for your 2018 Honda CR-V that will allow you to open the cargo area with bikes loaded is going to be a hitch option. Since you plan on leaving the rack for an extended period of time this is also a much better option than a trunk rack as trunk racks can scratch painted surfaces if left on for too long. So you'd need a hitch like the Draw Tite part # 76128 so that you can use a swing away bike rack. My favorite bike rack to recommend is the Thule Vertex...
