Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the DeeZee Specialty Series Truck Bed Transfer Tank. And today we're taking a look specifically at the aluminum silver tank with the tread plate design. But this tank is also available made from 14-gauge steel and two other options on our website at etrailer.com, part number DZ91753S, steel construction with white finishing. Also, part number DZ91753SB. That's a steel construction with black finishing.They all have a capacity of 108 gallons, and these tanks offer a safe, convenient way to transfer liquids. According to the warning label right here on top of the tank, it is intended to be used for combustible fuels only, such as diesel fuels with flashpoints greater than 38 degrees Celsius, or 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit.Now, these tanks, all of them feature a corrosion-resistant design inside and out.
You'll notice that is a rectangular design, so it's versatile. It allows you to place the tank wherever space permits in your truck bed. At the end of the video I will give you the external dimensions as well as the mounting dimensions.Also, I do want to point out that the tank features a nice radius curve design. Not only does that offer a good look, but it also allows liquid to move freely around corners. And that's gonna eliminate pressure on 90 degree weld point.
So, that's a great design to have.Also, internally in these tanks, there are baffles. And those are designed to help control liquid movement. The drainage plug is located right here. It's got a nice welded design to it. And the drainage plug allows the tank to be drained by gravity.It does feature a lockable breathing cap, which reduces pressure and eliminates the vacuum effect when pumping fuel out of the tank.
Lock not included, but it does have a slot here, that way you could pass through a lock, keep it in the closed position, and then it's just a simple twist when you are ready to open it, and vent.Pretty simple installation. The transfer tank mounts to the floor of the truck bed using the built-in feet. So, there's four feet on the unit. That's these tabs right here. Mounting hardware not included.The product is made in the USA and covered with a limited lifetime warranty.Now I did take a measurement.
I measured from edge-to-edge, going this direction. Got a measurement of 48 inches long. The overall width, that's the measurement from front-to-back, measures 24 inches wide. And then, the overall height from the bottom of the feet, to the top of the tank was 24 inches tall. And then, you'll need to add about 3-1/2 inches to the highest measurement, or to the height measurement to determine clearance for the vented cap.And then, right here we have our standard cap, which allows us to fill the tank.Now again, it does have four feet. So I took a measurement from the center of this mount hole, to the center of this mount hole, going straight, and got a measurement of 35-5/8 inches apart on center. And then, going this direction, from the center of this mount hole, to the center of this mount hole, at a straight line, gave a measurement of 25-1/8 inches.That's gonna do it for today's look at the DeeZee Specialty Series Truck Bed Transfer Tank.

The box was received undamaged in good condition. I am attempting to use the box for my batteries (Currently, two large grp. 34 deep cycle) and it turned out to be a bit larger than the location on my trailer tongue; I am moving the Propane bottles as much as I can to see if it will work. If I have to, I will modify the box to allow the batteries to slide out one end. I would have liked to find a box already available that way, but couldn't. But, back to the review, the box was what I ordered, unfortunately the location of use was not what or where the box was designed. I will follow-up with pics when the final installation is complete. 691520

First, I like it a lot. There is lots of room inside, it meets my needs and I would buy it again because I think it is a very good value! Cons, Steel latch which means 3 months outside and it is already rusting. (I will eventually replace with a marine grade.) The unit is very strong on the outer sides, but not so much in the middle. I am 200 lbs and can stand on the outer sides of it, but I would not try to do so in the middle. (Note - Manufacturer does NOT recommend standing on it at all and I am not suggesting you do!) Depending on your specific trailer frame and what you intend to put in the tool box you may need to add some bottom support. You can see where I added a support bar in the front. If I was doing this mount over again, I would add a support or 2 in the middle because a couple of spare axle hubs and a bottle jack are causing it to sag significantly. 446689

This type and size of toolbox is permanently attached to the top of a rear bumper on a holiday trailer and works perfect for storing tools etc that you would need while travelling. I even decorated around it with checker plate and it looks great. 920028

Great Product. I attached it to my trailer tongue by drilling holes in the bottom and using U bolts. I cushioned it with rubber from a tire tube and protected the U bolts from the Aluminum frame and box with the rubber. Really liked the fact that it locks and is very roomy. 778294

Boxes arrived in 3-4 days. I got used ones and was very happy I didn’t pay the full price. They work fine just a few dinges. I painted the inside white to see tools easier. The boxes are aluminum, seems very light duty. I wouldn’t step on top of it. When you close the top, the sides flex when pressure is put on the latch. I would have preferred a heavy steel, but needed a small box for the location and this was the only one I could find. For an ATV it might work ok. Overall pretty happy- I just installed so we’ll see how they hold up over time. Next time I would look for a heavy steel one. I paid for 2 used ones the price of one new... to me a new one would not be worth the price they are asking... just too light duty. 772550
