These custom fit tie-downs give you the safest and most comfortable ride when hauling a camper. They mount to the frame of your pickup - no drilling required! With the arms removed, the brackets can barely be seen. Made of rustproof aluminum.
Features:
If you're looking for the best tie-downs for your camper, frame-mounted is the way to go. The frame is the most solid part of your entire vehicle, so it just makes sense to attach your camper to something that's not going to warp, bend, or twist. Even more importantly, the camper's center of gravity will sit lower and its weight will be spread across the entire bed. This avoids a top-heavy load perched on top of your bed rails that's liable to sway and get pushed around by crosswinds. The camper's not going to shift or slide around while you drive; it's going to stay put, and your truck is going to handle just like it does without a camper.
Quick Tip: If you have a plastic or spray-in bed liner, it's important that you use a rubber mat under the camper to eliminate any sliding or bouncing.
Frame-mounted tie-downs are also a great pick for preserving your truck's good looks. The brackets install on the frame, tucked nearly flush with the underside of the vehicle. Remove the arms from the brackets when you're not hauling your camper, and the brackets will be barely visible.
Completely custom to your vehicle, the tie-downs attach to exisiting holes in your frame so that there's little to no drilling and no need for any modifications. Because they're custom, you'll want to use our in-house application guide to make sure you get the exact right model. The tie-downs you need might be different depending on what type of hitch or other accessories you have.
Once the tie-downs are installed, use a set of turnbuckles (sold separately) to secure the camper to the tie-downs. The shank on each arm has 2 pin holes so you can choose how far out they extend, that way the turnbuckles can reach the anchors on your camper without making contact with your truck. Tighten the turnbuckles to the correct level of tension (not too tight!).
Make sure the anchor points are offset from the tie-downs instead of lined up with them so that they will hold your camper from multiple angles. This is important for keeping your camper from shifting. Two holes in the attachment plate of the tie-downs let you find the best angle for you camper anchors.

Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at these Torklift Talon custom rear camper tie-downs. These are going to provide attachment points at the rear of your truck bed to secure your truck camper's turnbuckles. You will also need the front tie-downs. Those are sold separately.
That will give you the four corners that you can tie down, make sure your camper's gonna be nice and secure. This setup is a custom fit. It is going to work for your 2015 through 2019 GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado 2500 and 3500. Keep in mind, this system is gonna be frame mounted. So, it is not going to work if you have an aftermarket hitch installed on your vehicle or if you have a board or step underneath your truck bed because those will oftentimes use the same mounting points that this system will use.
So, you will need to have a factory installed hitch and be free of any boards or steps underneath the truck bed in order for this system to be installed properly. But because it is frame mounted, it is going to sit right up against your truck's frame so you're not gonna lose any ground clearance. And it's also going to ensure excellent handling for you by securing your camper to the truck's base instead of up on the bed. It is going to better distribute the weight of the camper to help keep it from being too top heavy. So, this system is gonna work really well for you to secure your camper in place.
They do include very detailed instructions to walk you through the installation process step by step to make sure it's installed properly. They include all the hardware that you're gonna need to get it installed. And one of the really nice things about this system is that these receiver brackets are going to be the portion that's installed on your truck frame. So, rather than other systems that are going to have a tab that sticks out between your truck cab and your truck bed that kind of unsightly can get snagged on and just kind of takes away from the look of your truck, this system, when you have these inserts removed, you can have the cap on there and it's gonna be virtually undetectable. So, it's gonna sit there up against your frame.
You're really not gonna notice it until you need to hook up your camper. You can just simply remove the cap there and then slide in our insert. So, this is gonna have two different mounting points here. So, depending on the width of your camper, you can use either the wider portion or the smaller attachment there. So, just get that lined up. Whatever works best for you. And then you'll just slide that pin in there to create a solid connection between your receiver and your inserts. So, very simple to get those put in place and then get your turnbuckles put on. And then when you're done, very easily pull these out, put that cap back on and you're ready to go. So, these inserts are an aluminum alloy construction so they are very lightweight. Gonna be very easy to deal with. Throw under your seat, keep them stored when you're not needing them, that sort of thing, but they're also gonna be very corrosion resistant. Our receiver brackets are constructed of a durable steel. So, these are also going to be very hearty for you. They'll hold up really well. They both have this high-impact powder coat finish that's gonna add an extra layer of protection. So, even if we have these installed, we're going over road salts to other road conditions that typically are hard on metal, we're gonna have really a nice setup here that's gonna help resist rust and corrosion, hold up well for us for a long time to come. These are made here in the USA so you can trust they're made to the high-quality standards that we've come to know and trust for products that are made here in the US. They also come with a lifetime warranty. So, if you we're to have any issues with this setup, you're more than welcome to reach out to us here at etrailer.com.
