Specs:
If you have pop-out rail caps you can install the anchors in seconds. All you have to do is pop the caps off using a flat head screwdriver, insert the anchors into the stake pockets, and tighten them down with a Phillips head screwdriver.
If you have truck bed rails with hidden stake pockets that don't have pop-out rail caps, a router and a drill with a 1/2" bit (not included) are required to install the anchors.
The router bit (sold separately) lets you perfectly trim the caps without damaging your truck bed. To install the anchors, drill a 1/2" hole in the center of each rail cap and use the router to make the cuts. The router bit has 4 roller bearings that guide the router around the inner steel pocket to prevent overcutting the surface of your bedrails. Cut around each perimeter several times so that all the plastic residue resulting from the cuts gets trimmed away. Once the caps have been trimmed you can install the anchors.
If you have rear stake pockets with an inner plastic shaft, use a router with the rotary pocket saw bit (sold separately) to remove it.

Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com, and today we're gonna take a look at these BullRing Raise Fit Retractable Tie-Down Anchors for your truck bed stake pockets. These heavy duty anchors attach to your truck bed stake pockets, and they're gonna give you tie-down points to secure your load. And they're gonna work with your S-hook and J-hook connections. Now, these are going to fit various years and versions of the Ford F series, the Dodge Ram pickups, the GMC Sierras, and the Chevrolet Silverados. To confirm if these are going to work for your particular truck, take advantage of our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer.com and input the year, make, and model of your vehicle.
And our fit guide will let you know if these will work for your truck or if we have something comparable that will work for you. Now, while your factory anchor points are inside your bed, where it can be hard to reach, these retractable anchor points are going to install in these stake pockets on top of your bed rails. And then once they're installed, you can just simply pop the anchor ring up when you want to use it to secure a load, and then push it down firmly and that ring will be out of your way sitting flush with the rest of this anchor. So it's not gonna be sticking out at all. So again, let me show you how easy these are to use.
You're just gonna pull the ring up firmly, you hear that click, and that means that it's secure in place. It's not going to accidentally slip down or slip to the bottom at all, because it is secured in place. So you can put your strap on there with confidence knowing that this ring is going to stay up for the entire time that you need it. And then when you are done securing your load and you don't need the ring anymore, you just push down firmly and it is out of your way. Now, this raised fit is going to sit just above your bed rail.
And these anchors have a weight capacity of a thousand pounds. They're constructed of stainless steel. So they're gonna resist rust and corrosion. And the nylon lower body is going to reduce sound. Now, installation is going to be quick and easy.
And for the most part, it requires nothing more than your Phillips head screwdriver. So to install these, you're going to remove any plastic cap that covers the stake pocket. I do wanna point out that if you have a 2009 or newer Ram truck, you will need to trim the rail cap for proper installation. And so I would recommend taking a look at some bits that BullRing has. The first one is a rail cap router bit, and the second one is a rear pocket saw bit. And on your screen, I have our item numbers to each of those parts. And if you want to ease your installation process on your 2009 and newer Ram, I would recommend checking out those bits for safely and easily trimming the plastic on your bed rails. Now, once you have the plastic cap removed or trimmed, whatever you need to do on your particular vehicle, you're gonna use your Phillips head screwdriver to loosen the two screws in the anchor so that the steel plate is going to drop down. So I went ahead and loosened to these screws earlier. And when you remove these screws, this plate is going to be able to drop down and hang freely. You're not gonna have to worry about the bracket coming off of this ring. It is attached permanently. So there's no risk of accidentally losing this in the stake pocket. And so holding the top cover here, you're just gonna guide the anchor into the stake pocket opening and then pull up on the cover. And that's going to allow this lower bracket to catch on the truck's sheet metal. And then you'll just hold onto this ring, drop the cover, and then that is going to be ready for you to insert the screws and then tighten them down. And then that's going to be all that you need to do to install these. Now, you don't have to over tighten these screws. Hand tightening them is perfectly sufficient. And if you happen to see your plastic rail caps starting to bend or bow, that's an indication that you are making these too tight. So definitely don't over tighten them. Hand tightening them is gonna be just fine. Now, you are going to get six tie downs, but we do also offer these in a set of four if you don't need all six and you think four is gonna be sufficient for you. And I'm including our item number to the set of four of these anchors. Now, these do have a lifetime warranty, and overall, I am very impressed with just the quality of these anchors and just the ease of use after these are installed. It's gonna be very easy to pull this up when you need it and then push it down when you don't. And I'm even more impressed with the ease of installation. I think for the most part, you're gonna have all six of these installed in probably under half an hour or under 45 minutes. It's gonna be a real quick install and then they're gonna be ready to go for you. Well, that's gonna conclude our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me..

The Dodge bedliner cutout marks matched perfectly at the rear but the front marks were off see pictures
Had these installed professionally. They work great. No interference with trifold solid bed cover.

This neat little addition to the truck is easy to put in and looks custom. The hardest part is getting it out of the package :) The price was fair and delivery was spot on. I am an Etrailer junkie and will continue to be so. They have so many neat things one could go broke just customizing. The customer inquiry response on all issues is phenomenal.
