  • 11W x 3-7/8T x 1-1/4D Inch
  • With 1/2 Inch NPT
  • Derale

11" Wide x 3-7/8" tall x 1-1/4" deep, radiator-style heat exchanger improves the performance and overall functioning of your Honda Odyssey's transmission. Includes hose-barb adapters to fit the 1/2" NPT inlets.

Features:

  • Prolongs life of transmission
  • Improves overall performance
  • Prevents heat-related failures
  • Has furnace-brazed aluminum construction and 1-1/4" wide turbulator plates for more efficient cooling
  • Includes complete mounting kit, OEM spec hose with stainless steel clamps, Insta-dapt radiator adapter and hose-barb fittings
  • Sleek design makes this ideal for use in compact cars

Specs:

  • Inlets: 1/2" NPT
  • Fittings: 1/2" NPT x 3/8" hose barb
  • Overall dimensions: 11" wide x 3-7/8" tall x 1-1/4" deep
  • Distance between inlets: 8-7/8"
  • Mounting dimensions: 6-3/4" wide x 3" tall
  • 1-Year warranty

Note: The Derale Insta-dapt radiator adapter fits most vehicles with 5/16" transmission lines, but not all. In some cases, additional fittings or alteration of the OEM lines or hoses may be required for installation.

One of the more popular cooling systems available, the radiator-style, plate-and-fin heat exchanger provides increased surface area so that fluids can spread out along the finned chambers to cool faster. In addition to the increased surface area, this cooler also features turbulator technology, whereby fluids are agitated continuously, not only to facilitate heat transfer, but also to prevent any undesirable drop in pressure.

Product really works well drop trans temp on Silverado from 160 to 125 degrees F. Could not find additional 11/32" tubing so Used 3/8" trans hose for connection- worked fine. Also I mounted on side with inlet at bottom to maximize cooling.

This cooler is the largest that will fit a 02/09 Chevy Trail Blazer. Will take half a day and many specific extra parts to install to OEM quality. It cools

  • Recommended Transmission Cooler For A 2016 Honda Pilot
Hello Doug, thanks for reaching out. When selecting a transcooler, if you want the most effective cooling, you will want to get the largest cooler available for your vehicle. Basically more surface area means better cooling, and we do not always go by the class designation. Our best option for the 2016 Honda Pilot the Derale Dyno-Cool Tube-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit - Class II # D12906. This cooler is 13" Wide x 7-1/2" tall x 3/4" deep which is the largest we offer for your car. This comes...

  • Recommended Transmission and Power Steering Cooler for 2007 Honda Pilot
I have not heard of that being done but it absolutely could work. What I would instead recommend is keeping your current transmission cooler and adding the Derale Electra-Cool Combo Engine and Transmission Cooler Assembly w/ Fan, -8 AN Inlets - 8 Pass # D15200 to use as an additional transmission cooler and a power steering cooler. This kit comes with the barb fittings to make the installation easy. You may also be interested in the Derale Single-Hose Transmission Cooler Installation...

  • Installing a 7-Way Connector and a Brake Controller on a 2011 Ford Escape XLT
Yes, the Universal Wiring Kit # ETBC7 and the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 will also fit your 2011 Ford Escape. If you already have a 4-Way then you won't need anything else, however if you don't have a 4-Way then you will need part # 118251 if you have the factory tow package or part # 118551 if you don't have the factory tow package. Attached is a sample installation video of the ETBC7 kit being installed on a 2011 Escape for you to reference. The brake controller being installed is the...

  • Transmission Cooler Recommendation for a 1997 Honda CRV with Best Cooling and Ease of Installation
I would recommend the Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit, item # D13502, for your 1997 Honda CRV. This cooler will be more than adequate for towing the weights you will be towing. You can not cool transmission fluid too much so the larger the cooler is, the better. We have a video installation of this cooler on a 2006 Honda CR-V that will be very similar to the installation on your 1997 model, see link. If you would like a smaller cooler you could go with the Derale Series...

  • Transmission Fluid Needed for Transmission Cooler Installation
When you install the Derale Series 9000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler # D13611 a little extra fluid will be needed. The last part of the installation instructions have you add fluid as needed and then drive the vehicle for a little while and recheck the fluid level. Not much additional fluid is needed unless much is spilled when you disconnect and reconnect the lines. Normally just a few ounces of fluid is needed.

  • Brake Controller and Transmission Cooler for a 2000 Ford Expedition
Since you mentioned it does not have the factory tow package, but that you do have a 4-way, I am going with the assumption that the 4-way was an aftermarket addition. To use a brake controller, you will need to adapt your current 4-way into a 7-way using the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7. The # ETBC7 kit will provide you with everything that you need to adapt the 4-way into a functioning 7-way to use a brake controller. The brake controller that I recommend...

  • Recommended Transmission and Power Steering Coolers for 2019 Ford Explorer
Yes, the general wisdom on supplementary fluid coolers for towing vehicles is that the transmission is top priority followed by the power steering system. The transmission cooler I recommend for your Explorer is the Derale Class III plate-fin cooler # D13503. This is because this cooler's 11 x 8-3/4-inch size allows it to very efficiently cool your transmission fluid a second time, after it is first cooled by the OEM cooler inside your radiator. The best install location is right in front...

The best transmission cooler kit for your 2018 Ram 3500 Dually with the 6.7 Cummins Turbo Diesel engine is going to be the Derale Series 9000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit w/ NPT Inlets item # D13611. • Which Transmission Cooler is Recommended for a 2005 Honda Pilot
Mounting a trans cooler in front of everything else, radiator and AC condenser, will yield the most cooling ability. The size of the heat exchanger is the factor that weighs most heavily on the cooling ability followed by location and construction/design. The best way to select a cooler is by considering the load you will be towing and the area you will be towing in. The cooler needed to aid in towing a single jet ski in a cool or moderate climate would not be nearly as big as the cooler...

  • Transmission Cooler for a 2015 Toyota 4Runner Towing a Pop-up Camper
I have just what you need. The most popular transmission cooler for the 2015 Toyota 4Runner is Derale cooler # D13503. This cooler measures 11 inches wide, 8-3/4 inches tall, and 7/8 inches deep. It will increase the cooling capacity beyond what the factory system can handle alone to help keep your transmission fluid at a safe temperature when you are towing as well as when you are not towing.

  • Larger Transmission Cooler Recommendation to Replace Small One Where Fluid Still Gets Hot
The transmission cooler part # D13611 that you referenced is a pretty small cooler. Since you are towing on steeper grades a larger cooler would be your best option. If you can fit the part # D13503 instead of what you currently have this would be a much better option. This cooler measures 11" Wide x 8-3/4" tall x 7/8" deep. • Fittings Needed to Install Derale Transmission Cooler in a 2013 Ram 1500
All of the Derale transmission coolers, like the Series 9000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler # D13611, come with the Derale Insta-dapt Radiator Adaptor # D13004. This fits most vehicles with 5-16" transmission lines. Since it will not fit every line you may need additional fittings or you might need to alter the OEM lines or hoses to install it. Even though the Insta-dapt is most likely the only other fitting that you will need, you can find additional fittings that you might end up needing...

Yes, the Derale Series 9000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit w/ NPT Inlets # D13612 does fit your 2009 Ford Escape and will work well. This has more cooling capacity than the # D13611 so it would be a better option!

With transmission coolers "size does matter..." Basically the bigger the cooler you can fit in front of the radiator the better it's going to cool your fluid. • Transmission Cooler for 2016 Honda Pilot
It is pretty common for aftermarket products such as transmission coolers to deliver performance that is superior to that of OEM components. Transmission coolers vary in their efficiency/cooling power and are given Class Ratings to indicate their effectiveness. Small is okay but bigger is definitely better when it comes to coolers. For example, a small cooler like the Derale # D13611 (about 11 x 4-inches) carries a Class I rating while the much larger # D13503 (11 x 8-3/4-inches) is rated...

  • Can I Tow a Boat and Trailer that Weighs 1,255 lbs with a 2008 Ford Taurus
I do not see any reason why you would not be able to tow a 1,255 pound boat and trailer with a 2008 Ford Taurus. You should check your vehicle owner manual and make sure that the gross trailer weight and the tongue weight of the boat, loaded and ready to tow, are within the vehicle limits. We have the Draw-Tite Max-Frame, # 75299, which has a 3,500 pound weight carrying capacity and would be plenty of hitch to tow the boat you mentioned, as long as the vehicle ratings are high enough. More surface contact results in greater heat dissipation. I have attached two FAQ articles on transmission coolers for you to check out.
