Commonly used on vintage hot rods and race cars, Derale's pan coolers are designed to add a little extra cooling power to keep your 's transmission operating at its best. Simple installation involves replacing the existing oil pan with the new Derale one, which, in addition to providing cooling power, also increases fluid capacity. The built-in turbulator tubes allow air to flow through, pulling the heat that has collected in the pan's surface and dissipating it into the surrounding environment.

I finally went shopping on line and found you sight while being impressed with the design of your product I ordered one from you. I received it in the mail very quickly and installed it. The installation was easy and everything matched my transmission. Filled the transmission with transmission fluid and after driving my motor home for a short while now have had no more leaks. product is great, however did not fit my 2004 express van....exhaust crossover was hitting the cover in the back. Would take about 100.00 in exhaust work to move the pipe out of the way. Will probably have to use an aluminum B&M with the offset step. Wish I could have used it. 54402

Do you have a question about this Transmission Cooler?

  • Transmission Cooler for 2005 Chevy Silverado 2500HD
  • It's definitely not abnormal for your transmission fluid to heat up while towing, especially when you're going up hills that force the truck to work a lot harder. To help with this adding a transmission cooler like you mentioned is a great idea. For your 2005 Chevy Silverado 2500HD I highly recommend the Derale Hyper-Cool Remote Transmission Cooler Kit w/ Fan # D13960. This cooler will do a great job of improving the performance and function of your transmission with its reversible...

  • Recommended Transmission Fluid and Engine Oil Cooler for a 2013 Chevrolet Express Van 3500
  • I have exactly what you will need to keep both the engine oil and transmission fluid cool in your 2013 Chevrolet Express Van 3500 but a remote cooler will not be necessary. Instead, I recommend using the Derale Combination Transmission and Engine Oil Cooler part # D15902. As long as you have at least 17" wide x 12-1/2" tall x 3/4" deep of space to mount the cooler behind your grille and in front of your radiator/condenser then it will work well for you. You can expect a drop in engine oil...

  • Derale Remote-Positioned Transmission Cooler for 2012 Chevrolet Suburban 5.3L 4WD
  • A supplementary transmission cooler is an excellent addition to almost any towing vehicle and we have options for your 2012 Chevrolet Suburban 5.3L. If you have the specific transmission model 4L80E in your Suburban you can use pan-style cooler # D14207 from Derale. The benefit of a bolt-on pan cooler is that you actually add fluid capacity to your transmission system. This item does not simply radiate away heat like # D13503; it both radiates heat away and cools additionally by letting...

  • Transmission Cooler Recommendations for a 2005 Chevy Silverado 2500 6.0 Liter Motor
  • Transmission coolers such as # D13503 can be installed in any orientation including upside down. The cooler comes with a hose but one way or another you will have to use the factory lines on your 2005 Chevy Silverado 2500 with 6.0 liter motor. If you want a larger cooler I recommend # D13504. The path of the fluid goes from the transmission and into the factory cooler (whether internal to the radiator or external). Then it will go into the supplemental cooler and from there it will go...

  • Transmission Cooler Recommendation for a 2010 Chevy Suburban with 6 Speed Automatic
  • The transmission you have in your 2010 Chevy Suburban is either the 6L80 or 6L90 since you said it is a 6 speed. Because of that the part # D14207 is not a fit since it is for 4L80E transmissions. You would need to go with a supplemental cooler that mounts in front of the radiator like our super popular part # D13504. You will also need the fitting part # D13035 to make the install easier. I attached an install video that shows this cooler being installed on a similar GM SUV as yours...

  • Derale Pan Cooler # D14207 Recommendation For 2004 Chevrolet Silverado With Allison Transmission
  • I have done some research on your 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD with the diesel engine and the Allison transmission. Due to the size of the coolant lines on your transmission, installation of an in-line transmission cooler would restrict the flow of fluid needed for the transmission. This restriction in fluid could result in higher transmission temperatures and result in damage to the transmission. I would recommend the Derale Transmission Pan Cooler, part # D14207, if you have the...

  • Will Derale Pan Cooler Increase Transmission Fluid Capacity on 2002 Chevy Silverado 2500
  • The Derale Transmission Pan Cooler # D14207 referenced in your question will indeed increase the fluid capacity of your Chevy Silverado 2500 with the 6.0L engine. This particular cooler will increase the fluid capacity by 4 quarts, 16 ounces. It will use the air beneath your truck and its turbulator tubes to cool the transmission fluid by as much as 20 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. I have attached an FAQ on transmission coolers that you might also find helpful.

  • Supplementary Transmission Cooler for 2004 Silverado 1500 LT That Has a Factory External Cooler

Some auto makers place a tranny cooler inside the radiator. You can confirm that the unit you are seeing is indeed a stand-alone tranny cooler by following its lines back to the transmission case and you can certainly add on a second cooler for your transmission if you wish and this would indeed be a good idea for your...

Then, put the vehicle back in park and turn off the motor. Under the truck feel both lines from the transmission. One will be warmer the other cooler to the touch. The cooler one is the return line. • The USA-made Derale Transmission Pan Cooler # D14207 that you referenced will indeed fit the 4L80E transmission on your 1996 C/K Series pickup. This pan cooler fits both 2- and 4-wheel drive 5.0L V8 engines as well as the 6.5L V8. It comes complete with a magnetized drain plug and mounting gasket. • Transmission Cooler Recommendation for a 2009 Chevy Silverado 1500 LT V8 5.3L
  • Your 2009 Chevy Silverado 1500 likely has the 4L60-E transmission which is not compatible with Derale transmission cooler pan # D14207. That pan fits the 4L80-E transmission which was not an option on your truck. Even though there isn't a pan cooler for your truck you can still add a regular cooler. The most popular option for the 5.3 liter motor is # D13503. I also recommend fitting # D13035 to avoid having to cut and flare transmission lines.

  • I have some good news and I have something for you to check on the existing transmission pan on your 1999 RV built on the Chevy van chassis. The good news that Derale cooler # D14207 does indeed fit the GM 4L80E transmission so if that is for sure what is on the tranny now then the shape and mounting pattern will all match.
