  • Availability of Apogee Adapt-X Folding Utility Trailer
    We offer the # AT74FR Apogee Adapt-X 500 and the # AT24FR Adapt-X 700, but not the Adapt-X 400 in addition to the # AT54FR Optimax Folding Utility Trailer.

  • Kayak Rack For Apogee Adapt-X 500 & 700 Trailers
If you have the Apogee Adapt-X Folding Utility Trailer # AT74FR you can get this Kayak Rack # AT48FR. If you have the Adapt-X 700 # AT24FR you can get this kayak rack # AT68FR. I suggest getting four of these kayak pads # MPG314, two for the front and two for the back. Here are some straps # E98876-4. You will want at least 6 to tie down 2 kayaks. One for the bow, one for the stern and one for the middle of the kayak to secure it to the bar. We only have kayak racks for the 500 and 700 model.

  • Can Larger Wheels Be Fitted To the Apogee Optimax Folding Utility Trailer
The Apogee Optimax Folding Utility Trailer part # AT54FR is offered with 12" wheels. I cannot recommend using larger wheels as the fender clearance is fixed and limited so if larger wheels is what you're after you'd have to go up a trailer size, the Apogee Adapt-X 700 Folding Utility Trailer part # AT24FR comes with 14" wheels.

  • Do Apogee Trailers Come With Everything Needed to Get it Registered
The Apogee Optimax Folding Trailer # AT54FR does indeed come with all the paperwork to get it registered. These come pre-assembled and are completely road ready once registered. The only add on I suggest for these is a cover. The Apogee Storage Cover # AT57FR is designed specifically for the Optimax # AT54FR and will protect it from the elements if stored outside, and dust or other gunk if stored in a garage or shed.

  • What Is The Speed Rating Of The Apogee Optimax Folding Utility Trailer 4' x 8' AT54FR?
I reached out to my contact at Apogee and the tires used on the Apogee Optimax Folding Utility Trailer - 4' wide x 8' Long - 1,984 lbs # AT54FR you were looking at have a speed rating of 80MPH. I included a video of the # AT54FR for you to take a look at.

  • Recommended Lightweight Aluminum Trailer for Tear Drop Camper Project
I may have a solution for you, but we have a very limited selection of actual trailers and none of them are going to be quite those specs. However, I recommend taking a look at the Apogee Optimax Folding Utility Trailer - 4' wide x 8' Long # AT54FR since it's 4 feet wide and only weighs 325-lbs. This trailer comes with LED lights built in, so that's going to be one less part you've got to worry about adding, and I've seen a lot of people who really love these Apogee trailers. It might allow...

  • What is the Tongue Weight of the Apogee Optimax Trailer
The trailer's tongue weight will depend on how the trailer is loaded and should be in the 10-15% of the total weight of the trailer. The Apogee Optimax Folding Utility Trailer - 8foot Long x 4foot wide - 1,984 lbs # AT54FR has a GVWR of 1,984-lbs so it at most the tongue weight of the trailer when loaded properly would be 297-lbs; anything more than that and you'll want to rearrange the trailer. It might be a good idea to get yourself a tongue weight scale like the Sherline # 5780 to...

  • Replacement Hubs for Harbor Freight Trailer
Harbor Freight Trailers use metric spindles from what I understand. If you'd care to provide the inner and outer bearing reference numbers that are etched into the bearing cages, I'd be happy to check for a compatible hub but unless a previous owner replaced the existing spindles with something more conventional we won't offer a suitable replacement. So where to from here? I've heard from customers that they were able to obtain some replacement parts from Harbor Freight by contacting...

For a 4 by 8 trailer you could use the Apogee Optimax Folding Utility trailer part # AT54FR or for a smaller trailer we have the Detail K2 part # K2MMT5X7 which has bed dimensions of 88 inch by 52 inch. Another option would be a hitch mounted trike carrier like the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider part # HR1000Z-R-TRKADP.

  • Will Apogee Optimax Folding Utility Trailer 4' x 8' Fit A 47" Wide ATV?
The Apogee Optimax Folding Utility Trailer - 4' wide x 8' Long - 1,984 lbs # AT54FR you were looking at has an inside width of 49.5" wide so your 47" wide ATV will fit assuming the 47" is measured from the outside of the tire to the outside of the tire, and will leave you 1-1/2" clearance to spare. I included a video of the # AT54FR for you to take a look at.

  • Will the 4x8 Apogee Optimax Folding Utility Trailer Fit a Fully Dressed Harley Motorcycle
The Apogee Optimax Folding Utility Trailer part # AT54FR has internal dimensions of 98-1/2" long x 49-1/2" wide. This should be plenty of spare for most motorcycles but doing a quick check to confirm would be worthwhile. • Is Hardware Used On Apogee Optimax 4' x 8' Utility Trailer AT54FR Galvanized Or Stainless Steel?
I reached out to Apogee and all of the hardware used on the Apogee Optimax Folding Utility Trailer - 4' wide x 8' Long - 1,984 lbs # AT54FR you were looking at uses all stainless steel pins and mounting hardware so you will not have to worry about it rusting. • Will the Malone MPG117MD Kayak Carrier fit the Apogee Kayak Rack for Adapt-X 500 AT48FR
I had the tubing on the Apogee Kayak Rack for Adapt-X 500 # AT48FR measured and it is 1 1/2 inches by 1 1/2 inches. That being said, Malone did confirm that the included m8 bolts for the attachment feet will be too short to attach to the bar. As they do not carry hardware that is longer, they suggested finding some longer m8 bolts to use. These should be at least 3 1/2 inches long, but 4 inches would be better. With the cross bar spread for the # AT48FR also being 5 feet wide, you should...

  • Spare Tire For 4' X 8" Apogee Optimax Folding Utility Trailer
The Apogee Optimax Folding Utility Trailer # AT54FR will use a bias ply tire. Specifically it is a 5.30-12 tire with a load range C. For a spare tire I recommend the Kenda 5.30-12 Bias Trailer Tire with 12" Galvanized Wheel # AM30850. You can mount this to the front of the trailer with the CE Smith Spare Tire Carrier for Trailers # CE22007Z-11050-2. There the tire will not interfere with the folding ability of the Apogee trailer. • Trailer Hitch For 2008 Honda Odyssey EX That is Hidden
I have some pretty good ideas for you, but unfortunately the 2008 Honda Odyssey has a very deep cargo storage well behind the rear seats, so there will not be any hitch that can fit high enough upwards to be “hidden” as you wanted. However, we have several choices. First we can choose between Class-2 hitches with 1-1/4” receiver openings, or Class-3 hitches with 2” receiver openings. Given the choice, I would always pick the Class-3 as they are rated for higher capacities in towing,...

  • Can I Possibly Haul 2 Dirt Bikes With My 2017 Dodge Journey?
My recommendation is to use a Apogee Optimax Folding Utility Trailer # AT54FR for hauling your dirt bikes. This trailer may work for your limited storage space as it does fold up to a compact 32" deep, 72" wide and 69" tall. Your 2017 Dodge Journey has a payload capacity of 1,165lbs which is all the weight you add to the vehicle, people, gear, hitch, rack, and bikes.
