Today we are going to review part number 119130. This is the tow ready upgraded taillight converter with the four-way flat trailer connector. Now, this part will provide a four-way flat trailer connector at the back of your tow vehicle to power your tow trailers signal lights. This will work with most LED incandescent and standard bulbs on the vehicles or on the trailers. It is designed to work with most vehicles multi flex wiring systems for lighting and it will also help prevent feedback from the trailer to the vehicle system to protect the tow vehicles electrical system. Now, on this end you'll notice, is the 60 inch length of bonded wire that has the four-way on the end that connects to your trailer, to your trailer.
You'll notice this does include the integrated dust cover that when you're not plugged in, you can put that over there and protects those terminals from any damage or from the elements. On the other side you'll see the wires that need to be connected to your tow vehicle. They measure for about 18 inches long. And what you want to do is we would recommend to always use a circuit tester and you want to test each wire for what it does so when you hook it up, you hook it up correctly. You don't always want to go color to color. You want to look it up to what that circuit does.
With this long green wire, this is designed to hook to your, and they are all marked here on the converter itself, this is what a right turn signal. And then the other wires, the white wire with the eyelid connector on it, that is for the ground. You want to connect this to a good clean ground. The remaining wires, your brown would be for your taillight connection. Your yellow would be for your left turn signal and the red wire would be for your brake light. Once you get that all connected then you would be able to put this in to your trailer and supply the lights on your trailer.
A few specs on this. The maximum stop and turn light circuit is 2.1 amps per side. And the maximum on the taillight circuit is 7.5 amps. But that should do it for the review on part number 119130. This is the tow ready upgraded taillight converter with the four-way flat trailer connector.

Adapts import and domestic vehicles with separate turn and stop lights (3-Wire System) to standard trailer tail light wiring (2-Wire System)The Tow Ready Tail Light Converter, 119130, is perfect for my needs. I have a trailer with LED lighting, so the the amperage draw is fairly low. Using the 119130 converter, the @$#$#[email protected]^^ computerized lighting system in the tow vehicle is not "confused" by the additional load, as well as converting the 3 wire to a 2-wire trailer system. I was concerned that I might need a separately powered converter to make things work, but that's not the case. The LED trailer lights are the way to go.
Wiring is simple, with connections labeled right on the unit, and the leads should be long enough for almost all situations. Be sure to find a real metal ground location, and scrape the paint to get to bare metal. I know that the screw in the hole will give a decent ground, but I like to avoid weird issues that can surface if a ground is poor. Various tap type connectors make stripping and taping a thing of the past. Happy towing!
Had exactly what I needed was shipped and Received 1 day In advanced. Nothing but great all around service. Won’t hesitate to order from again! Thank you!
Converter arrived in 3 days ,, It took 20 minutes to wire it in and route my wires, very simple to in stall and works perfectly. I was at a standstill until i got this, Thank you very much. On the road again
Everything works perfectly , now I can tow a US trailer with my original european trailer hitch and plug - I did not test the second wiring yet which should allow me to tow my european trailer with an US vehicle , but I am sure it will work the same way if I wire the plugs correctly .
Unfortunately I did not make any pictures , but the instructions coming along with the order are very clear and easy
I appreciate the information and will shop with the guys again

I needed a converter to modify the wiring from my motor home to my tow vehicle hookup. Etrailer had exactly what I needed to convert my separate brake and turn signal lights on the MH to one lead to hook up to the tow vehicle. Easy to navigate web site, good communication, fast shipping, exactly what I needed. Easy to make the hookup on my MH and works as advertised !!! Have bought here before and always a satisfied customer. Will see for any of my future needs !!!
Product was used to separate turn signal from brake on an equipment trailer. It worked just fine. I hard wired mine into the trailer circuit but it comes with the 4 wire harness if you are wiring it to the tow vehicle.
Michael H answered my questions concisely and accurately.
Excellent on all counts!
Worked like a charm. Fixed the problem I was having with a 3 wire system going to a 2 wire system.
I'm pleased to see that all of the wire leads are more than long enough to make for a simple install.
I didn't get the unit with separate 12V power as the load will be minimal.
So here it is. The unit is for my new "Winky the White Cat" that sits on the rear shelf of my car. If you never heard of it, you are just too young. :-)
Winky's eyes flash with the turn signals, and to get full effect I needed to convert to a standard turn/stop system. Plus, I can unplug Winky and pull a small utility trailer with low draw LED lights.
Solved my problems.
I really like this product, the hook up was simple, it is great for me 1953 chevy pickup so now I can pull a trailer, the truck had no blinkers and I could not wire a trailer plug without this light converter.
I installed the product today. It was pretty simple to install. When finished I tested all the ports for the trailer with a test light and it was perfect. Only time will tell how well it do for the long term, but now it works.
wiring harness very easy to install right turn signal wire to short
