Today we'll be having a look at the Mighty Cord trailer connector adapter, seven-way RV-style to five-way flat, part number A10-7275VP. The Mighty Cord adapter that we have here today will allow us to convert from a seven-way RV connector to a five-way flat. It's a very easy solution in order to give you that necessary five-way adaptor on your vehicle without having to do any modification to your vehicle. It's nice that a lot of trucks that are on the market today come with a standard seven-way connector on the back and then a four pole flat. Now these are great and these allow you to have your lighting functions here or your electric brake controller here. You just plug this into your seven-way, close the door, so if your trailer's equipped with with a reverse lockout solenoid and has a five-way flat, this is something you need, otherwise you will be causing undue harm and damage to your trailer, not only the brakes but the coupler on it, by trying to push while the breaks are being applied while you're backing up. This top pin here on our connector is our reverse signal, so I have our truck in reverse light now, if you just take a look and see our reverse lights are on. We have no other function on right now, just reverse. If we pin the other ones, you see there's nothing going on, but if we hit this with our test light, you'll see how it lights up.
That lets us know that we have a good signal that will go to our lockout solenoid on our trailer so we can back up our boat trailer safely, or if we have reverse light function on our trailer with a five-way flat, our reverse lights would work on our trailer as well. Now we have a four pole flat tester plugged in the back of the adaptor, and we can show you the other functions working. There's our tail light and running light circuit right there. A left turn signal, a right turn signal and then our brake lights. When you're done, you can simply grab a hold of it with the nice finger tabs here, pull out and you're back to your normal seven-way again. That completes our look at the Mighty Cord trailer connector adaptor, seven-way RV-style to five-way flat, part number A10-7275VP.
