Today we're gonna take a look at the Hopkins seven-way RV to the four-way flat trailer connector adapter with the LED test lights. Now this adapter will convert your seven-way blade style vehicle end connector for use with a four-way flat connector that would be on your trailer, has the built in LED lights which provide easy troubleshooting. They'll basically light up to verify that the connector's receiving power from your tow vehicle. It does have labeled settings, has three LED lights there. The first one right here, says RT, which is for right turn, so that light would come on if your right turn signal is working. Middle one is LT for left turn.
The last one is TM, which means tail marker or your tail lights, and those lights would all light up if those functions are working and to tell if the brake functions working. Both the RT and the LT will light up for the brake function. It does use this nice short braided cable that will provide a larger range of motion for more convenient hookup than a standard adapter that uses a durable, braided material to help resist any shock or strain. If you notice on the four-way has this nice easy pull grip design makes installing and removing the four-way plug effortless. And it does offer a tethered dust cover that'll protect the four way from any debris or elements.Basically, if you just put this onto the four way. And just like that you could leave it on if you want, and then you just put it over the four-way terminals and that'll protect it from the elements or any from any damage. Now on the seven-way side you can see it has a nice pistol grip design to it to help with the installation of that side.
This is a durable plastic construction. Now they do even include a terminal grease packet with some dielectric grease in it and you want to put that on the terminals when you go to plug it in. So if you put it on all the terminals and then you go to plug it, it'll help keep corrosion from building up in there. Now the wiring configuration on this, the white wire is ground. The brown is for tail lights. The yellow is left turn and brake, and the green is right turn and brake.
But that should do it for the review on the Hopkins Seven-Way RV to four-way flat trailer connector adapter with the LED test lights.
