Fits as described and easy install for pre-wired Tahoe. For those not familiar with machine screw sizes, a suggestion to size and length of screw could be helpful.

Work great, installs in minutes, great product and can't say enough about how easy the whole thing was from ordering to installation.

by:

Great Product! Easy to plug direct to G.M. OEM harness. The only problem I have is the 4 attach hole pattern does not fit the predrilled tow bumper on my G.M. flatbed built by ABC. But a little rework will fix the problem.

i bought this product for my f150 trailer tow package and received it today 1/3/11. it works and it works well. i am 100% satisfied. i had search the web and finally i located the item @etrailer.com and found it. i even searched ford.com where they wanted 145.00 for it and the harness ( they don't sell connector by itself) my brother has shopped etrailer for a brake controller and he is stisfied. thank you etrialer.com for being there. roland

Installed and tested and seems to work perfectly. To be perfectly honest, my vehicle was NOT on the list of those that this part will fit. But I saw on another post elsewhere that someone had had success with this and I thought it was worth the gamble. I just installed this myself in about 20 minutes, thanks to a YouTube video. The dealer is quoting 70 bucks for this part plus installation which I heard can be as much as $200 more. I just did it myself in 20 minutes for $18. Thank you so much. Check out my pics.

High-five on the install, Coach! I'm glad that even though it wasn't on the list that you were still able to get everything installed smoothly :)

2002 Chevrolet Silverado

Packaged very well and delivered when expected. No defects noted with this products condition. I have not mounted the connector on the truck yet or operationally tested it but there's nothing to lead me to believe that it wouldn't perform as advertised.

by:

I have not yet used this product but have enjoyed the purchasing process with etrailer. The updates and tracking emails including the employees that worked to get the product to me was great.

When ordering from other companies it feels like once the money is handed over, you’re on your own. etrailer does a great job making you feel like they take pride in their work and care about their customers.

Thank you!

Absolutely an original OEM product. A perfect quick replacement for GM trucks. Etrailer.com provided fast service too!

I had to replace the socket in my truck after I forgot to disconnect the plug when setting up my camper 1 year ago. Since then, I've connected the camper 35 times and pulled it over 6,000 miles. I have had no issues at all with the new socket.

Another year and another 5,000 miles on the camper, and its still working flawlessly. I have plugged and unplugged this connector at least 50 times and had it plugged in for about 200 hours since I installed it.

Still working after a year. Performs as expected. Easy to install.

  • What is the Difference Between 7-Way RV and Utility Trailer Connectors
The only difference between 7-Way Utility and 7-Way RV is the color of the wires. The pin outs are the exact same so either would work just fine with the other. If you check out the picture I attached you'll see that the functions are all the same.

  • 7-Way Trailer Wiring Connector for Bed of 2016 GMC Sierra 3500
Sounds you are referring to 7-way wiring ran to the very rear of the truck near the bumper. So what you would need to install a 7-way in the bed of the truck is the 5th wheel 7-way wiring kit part # 50-97-410. This plugs inline to that connector and gives you a harness and 7-way that will reach up to the wheel well. I attached an install video for this kit on a 2016 GMC Sierra 3500 just like yours as well.

  • Left Turn Signal On 7-Way Trailer Connector is Not Working
It is possible that there is a blown fuse or relay related to the tow package wiring that is causing the problem. Use the vehicle owner's manual to find the locations. It is also possible that there is a break in the wire somewhere. You will need to use a circuit tester like # PTW2993 if needed to test the wire as you work your way forward on the truck. If the right side stop light also does not work, it could be a blown stop light or CHMSL fuse. If the turn signal function works on...

  • Correct Pin Out for Truck and Trailer 7-Way Blade Connectors
Attached are some photos of the typical wiring functions for truck and trailer 7-Way blade connectors, like parts # PK11893 and # PK12706. If you typical pull a trailer that has a 7-Way connector then you want to follow the pin out diagrams I mentioned. If the chippers that you tow have a different configuration then the Hopkins Adapter # HM47535 will likely do the trick because you can change it so that the center pin is either related to the electric brakes or the 12V power. • Trailer Running Lights Not Working When Using a 7-Way to 4-Way Adapter
It sounds like you have a 7-Way and are using a 7 to 4-Way adapter because the trailer has a 4-Way flat. If the running lights are not working with this set up, the first thing you will want to do is use a circuit tester, like # PTW2993 if needed, and test the vehicle side connector with no adapter installed in it. If the running light circuit is not working at the connector, you know there is a problem on the vehicle side, and you will need to trace the wiring from the trailer connector...

  • Will The Pollak 7-Pole Connector PK11893 Work On 2000 Ford Expedition?
Hello Scott, thanks for reaching out. The Pollak Replacement 7-Pole, RV-Style Trailer Connector Socket # PK11893 connects to a standard USCAR connector. So it can absolutely be used on a 2000 Ford Expedition, so long as the vehicle is pre-wired with a USCAR connector. If your Expedition came with a factory 7-way plug, it will already have the USCAR connector behind the bumper, so the # PK11893 can easily be plugged in. Does your Expedition have any kind of factory trailer connector? Reply...

  • 7-Way Trailer Connector Recommendation for a 2016 Nissan Frontier
The only way to order a 7-way for your 2016 Nissan Frontier is to go with the part # C56226 which includes the jumper harness and relays. The good news is that you would have spares in case you were to damage a relay. If you happen to already have the round connector at the rear of your vehicle that just a 7-way connector would plug into you could use the part # PK11893 to plug right into that. But we do not have just the harness that would before that on the vehicle wiring.

  • Reverse Light PIn on a 7-Way Trailer Connector
The reverse light pin on a traditional 7-way trailer connector, like part # PK11893 or a factory connector if that's what you have on your 2018 Ram, is the center pin. Take a look at the picture I attached that shows all the pin functions. To add a light that runs off your truck's reverse light circuit you can tap into the trailer wiring going into the center pin on the connector or directly into the reverse lights on the back of the truck. Either will work for you.

  • Troubleshooting Right Side Trailer Lights Not Working, Left Side Working Correctly
Most trailer wiring problems are the result of a bad ground. What I would do is start with the connectors. Maker sure the connectors on both the trailer side and vehicle side are free of dirt and corrosion and that they are properly grounded. Next, I would move on to testing the vehicle side connector using a circuit tester like # PTW2993. Since the right side is not working, you will want to test the pins of the connector for right turn and brake. If looking at the face of the connector,...

  • Troubleshooting No Power at 12 Volt Pin on 7-Way for 2014 Ram 1500
Typically, this has to do with a missing or blown fuse. According to the online version of your owner's manual, the Trailer Tow 30-amp pink fuse can be found in cavity F30, in the fuse box (Power Distribution Center) under the hood of your 2014 Ram 1500. If the fuse is present and in good working condition, I recommend testing for power behind the 7-way connector. If you do get power there, but not at the pin, the solution is to replace the connector with # PK11893 for just a 7-way or...

  • Can You Get Third Brake Light and 12 Volt Power For Camper Shell From 7-Way Trailer Connector
On a 7-Way trailer connector, the brake lights and turn signals are combined on the same circuit so you cannot tap into the wiring there for a third brake light. If you did, the third brake light would blink with the turn signal. Normally if you follow the wiring harness back (towards the front of the vehicle) you may find additional wires that you can test with a circuit tester like # PTW2979 if needed to see if there is a third brake light wire there. Yes, the Tekonsha Prodigy RF Wireless Trailer Brake Controller part # TK94FR will work on your 2018 Volkswagen Atlas SEL as long as you have a 7-way trailer connector.
