Today we're going to be taking a look at the Bargman Car End 7-Way Super Sealed Connector with 9 feet of cable. It's going to feature the solid brass terminals, and we're going to have the industrial strength glass filled thermo plastic housing, so it's a nice, strong, durable design. It's going to have the heavy duty stainless steel spring for the lid, allows for easy opening and closing of the unit. The spring's protected right up here, and that's not going to rust or corrode, so you're not going to have to worry about that. You can see it has that spring loaded design. On the inside or bottom of the lid, we're going to have a nice rubber gasket. That's going to create the lid's super seal which is going to keep the connection points protected from the elements.
Again, we're going to have 9 feet of wiring to work with. That's all going to be protected by a nice, thick wire casing. I also want to point out that here on the back of the connector, we have this rubber spring boot. This is going to protect that juncture, that connection point from the wiring or the casing to the connector. That really reduces the amount of strain placed on that connection, and that's just a really nice design. Completely seals up the unit so we don't have any exposed wires here at the connector for any type of dirt or moisture to get in and cause any corrosion.
That's a nice overall design of the unit. When it comes to getting this mounted, it is going to require a 2 inch diameter hole, and then we have 4 mount holes pre-drilled right here into the connector. Mounting hardware is not included, so that will need to be provided separately. The distance between these mount holes on center is going to be about an inch and 1/2. Distance going this direction on center is going to be about 2 and 1/4 inches. Now when it comes to the wiring, you can see that they all are color coded.
This harness is going to contain 2 gauge 10 wires, 1 gauge 12 wire, and 4 gauge 14 wires. The green wire, this is going to be for our running lights. That's 14 gauge. Red is for left, stop, and turn. That's 14 gauge. Yellow is for auxiliary.
That's 14 gauge. Brown is for right, stop, and turn, and that's 14 gauge. The white wire is a ground wire. That's a 10 gauge wire. Black is for battery charge. That's 10 gauge, and then blue is for the electric brakes, and that's going to be gauge 12. Now it's always a good idea when installing to go ahead and double check the wires by function and not just rely on the color coding. Even though that your color coding might be correct, again, we always recommend getting the tester and testing by function. Again, overall it's a nice design built for strength and durability, and it's going to measure 9 feet long. That's going to do it today's look at the Bargman Car End 7-Way Super Sealed Connector.

alex s - 11/23/2017I paid a little more for this product but it has a 9' lead with a factory sealed waterproof connection on the plug end. Wiring diagram on the cover tells you what the color of the wire is - no guessing required. I cut the cable to length with a cut off blade on a grinder. The extra wire comes in handy for making other connections. Seems like I'm always repairing trailer leads and connectors, so this is a problem solver.
I needed a cable to go from truck to trailer while working on the trailer but when the trailer was not connected to the truck and this works just fine.
I installed 2 of these on my trailer 1 year ago. Love the molded aspect of the plug. No issues and I would recommend this to anyone

Cody - 04/11/2020As normal with etrailer, quick delivery and exactly what I needed. etrailer is my go to place when I need something trailer related. Only site I found that had a ~10 foot 7-way pigtail. This time it is not even for a trailer. I am hooking up my field and brush mower remote control to my Kawasaki Mule so I can quickly connect and disconnect it.
