Lionshead Roadside Assistance Program

This tire-and-wheel assembly comes with complimentary roadside assistance for 2 years. If your RV or trailer has a flat tire, call the help line and a technician will come change the flat for you. You can call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year from anywhere in the United States, Canada, or Puerto Rico.

1-Year No Excuses Guarantee

This tire has a 1-year No Excuses Guarantee. If within the first 12 months the tire is damaged in any way that's not covered by warranty, it will be replaced at no charge. You will also be compensated a flat labor rate for the cost of mounting the replacement tire.

Steel Lug Nut Inserts

Lionshead Aluminum Wheels with Steel Lug-Nut Inserts

This aluminum wheel comes with steel inserts in the lug nut wells. The inserts are pressed into the aluminum, and they help prevent the holes from wearing down over time. This ensures that the wheel stays secured to your trailer hub and that you won't have to constantly retorque the lug nuts.

Westlake Radials

This radial ply tire from Westlake is constructed with double steel belts and double polyester cords for increased durability. A protective layer of nylon is wrapped around the steel belts to help prevent tread separation.

Westlake Standard Tread Close-Up

The standard tread on this tire has solid, continuous ribs, and there are very few sipes (or thin grooves) cut into the rubber. This tire is designed for use on trailers, so it doesn't require the level of traction that would be needed on a vehicle that is braking or steering.

Radial Tires vs. Bias Tires

Radial tire vs bias tire graphic

Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.

Determining the Bolt Pattern

The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.

Bolt Pattern - Odd

To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)

Bolt Pattern - Even

On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)

Bolt Pattern - Side

Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

  • If D = 2-5/8", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2"
  • If D = 2-3/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-3/4"
  • If D = 3", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5"
  • If D = 3-1/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5-1/2"

I've had 6 of these tires (new) and three have blown (1), or thrown the tread (2), including the one shown here. I do not recommend Westlake tires. Do some research on your own, don't take my word for it. Speed rating on this tire would appear to be 63 mph. Minimum speed on some interstates in the west is now 65 mph. Note missing tread on front tire in photo and damaged fender resulting from tread separation. I have now gone with a different tire also from etrailer. Too new to tell about them yet.

Thank you for your review. If you are wanting to drive at higher highway speeds I would go with this tire, part # TA95ZR.

Great tires, ok rims. Tires have been great and work great on my dump trailer. Rims are ok, but on the back of some of them you can see where a grinder has been used on the rims, maybe to remove casting ridge? Wish the speed rating was higher than 62mph. Over all I would recommend these.

Only 4 of 6 tires delivered, the extension for your phone did not work. The wheels and tires did not come with centers after specifically asking and being told yes. These tires were not boxed the rubber was The only thing wrapped in cellophane. Very poor communication and service.

Well that is no good. I am making a point to notify our customer service team about to this to make sure you are taken care of. Thanks for bringing this our attention.

bought it for an extra spare and it even came with an exact matching wheel, it still has not been on the road, very nice looking tire and wheel combo

still holds air under the rv for extra spare

Great Service.
I had been getting the
run around from everyone from the trailer dealer to the local wheel and tire stores. This tire and wheel was exactly a dead ringer replacement for my trailer. You guys are the best and I will tell friends and relations about your company. Thanks again .

I just received these LHAS701 tires and rims in two days after ordering them over the phone. I live outside of Denver CO. the tires and rims seem to be of very high quality. we had a couple tires blow on our 5th wheel damaging both sides of our 5th wheel camper. We wanted tires that would not blow out and could handle the weight of out 5th wheel. We have a Open Range 3X and the stock tires and rims are under weight capacity and not made for long trips. these rims fit our camper hubs perfectly. The rims are 8 on 6 1/2 bolt pattern. the center hubs out of the stock 16 inch rims fit in these 17.5 inch rims perfectly and the lug nuts fit the same also. I could not be any happier with these rims and tires. I would highly recommend these tires and rims. I bought five of them.

This was one of the best things I have done. Leave the G-rated trailer tires behind! Great Price and a great product!

Quick and less expensive than dealership

Great price, Fast shipping

Couldn’t be happier with the delv speed and the product I received. 5 stars.

Very fast delivery. It arrived two days early.

Great value.

I do not give "perfect" or five star ratings since nothing is perfect. As expected, I have been pleased with the tires and wheels so far. I have put over 1,000 miles on the set I ordered and put on my Mallard travel trailer to replace the factory wheels and tires. They are looking good still and seem to let the trailer ride good.
I have ordered trailer wheels and tires for other trailers from in the past and have been satisfied each time.

This is a spare tire and wheel to my new trailer. It's a perfect match!

etrailer always keeps me coming back for all of my trailer and towing needs.

Quality is outstanding, and the wheels look great on my utility trailer.

Customer service and fast shipping!

I am a happy happy customer!!!

Excellent spare tire/wheel that matches the originals that came on the trailer. Actually, the new tire even has a higher load rating, which would be wise to eventually upgrade the rest to over time. etrailer kept me informed as to the order and shipping status all the way through the transaction. The spare/wheel combo was received on time as stated. I am very happy with my purchase and would buy from etrailer again.
Oh yeah, they had the best price also. Great company to do business with - thanks !!!!

I needed a spare for my Aluma trailer. Found an exact replacement from etrailer for $80 less than the dealer wanted. Great service and fast shipping.

I’ve had same brand tires on my travel trailer since new so going with same brand only more plus was no brained plus aluminum rims well they are beautiful. With covid it took longer than probably normal to receive but I am very happy with my purchase

Purchased a ATC trailer and wanted to pickup an identical tire and wheel as a spare.
Was able to find the exact tire and wheel from etrailer at a fair price and free shipping. etrailer has always provided an excellent product for a fair price.

I love the rims and tires. They look great and a year in has not lost any pressure in none. The lug nuts that came with was not excepted in Maryland inspection, so I had to replace all of them. Other than than I love them and am waiting for them to sell me some for my dually. I suggested anyway [Thumbs up]

  • Trailer Tires to Replace Size 225/75-16 with 8 on 6-1/2 Bolt Pattern Rims
The smallest tires we carry for a 16 inch rim are sized 235/80-16. These are going to be almost a half inch wider than your current tires and about an inch larger in diameter as well. If you replace your rims you may be able to use 215/75-17.5 sized tires, like # LHAS701, which are actually about a 1/2 an inch thinner and about an inch larger in diameter than what you have now. I've linked our selection of these for you.

  • Does Switching to Larger Tires Increase the GVWR on my 2019 Thor Four Winds Motorhome?
I'll start out by saying that going with larger wheel and tire combo will not increase the GVWR of your 2019 Thor Four Winds motorhome. In situations like this, your vehicle is rated for the maximum weight that the frame, engine and components are safely rated for without risking damage to the frame or engine. If you wanted to upgrade to a larger wheel and tire combo, the Westlake # LHAS701 is a Load Range H tire that will provide you with a bit stronger tire and better handling, but...

Hey Karl, so as long as your current wheel bolt pattern is 8 on 6-1/2 inch you can mount a 17.5 inch wheel and tire like the Westlake 215/75R17.5 part # LHAS701. The width and diameter of this size is going to be right at the same as your 16 inch setup so you'd have clearance as-is.
