Hub-Piloted Wheel

This wheel is hub piloted, which means that it centers on the hub, not the lugs. The wheel requires the use of flange nuts (sold separately) for installation.

Corrosion-Resistant Finish

The steel wheel goes through a 3-step finishing process that makes it both attractive and corrosion resistant. The wheel is first submerged in a zinc phosphate bath to ensure good paint adhesion. It is then e-coated with an acrylic primer base and finished on both sides with baked-on DuPont powder paint.

Provider Radials

Provider radials are constructed with double polyester cords and double steel belts for increased durability and endurance. A protective layer of nylon is wrapped around the steel belts to help prevent tread separation. Provider radials are bake tested - a process usually reserved for automotive tires - to ensure that the rubber holds up over time.

Radial Tires vs. Bias Tires

Radial tire vs bias tire graphic

Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.

Determining the Bolt Pattern

The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.

Bolt Pattern - Odd

To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)

Bolt Pattern - Even

On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)

Bolt Pattern - Side

Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

  • If D = 2-5/8", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2"
  • If D = 2-3/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-3/4"
  • If D = 3", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5"
  • If D = 3-1/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5-1/2"

I just finished installing 4 of these onto my 38' 5th wheel RV. I replaced some 11 year old 16" Goodyear tires with these. After checking around I discovered the Goodyears were $340 each for the tire alone, not to mention mounting, balancing, tax, tire disposal, etc. The Goodyears were G load rated at 3505 pounds/tire, these are H rated at 4805 or something like that. Absolute no brainer.
I have dealt with etrailer.com in the past and knew that I should expect top of the line service and Emily H. provided just that. She followed up to make sure everything was good with the order. Thanks Emily.

Review from a similar Provider Mod in Trailer Tires and Wheels

I needed to replace all four tires on my camper. Etrailer made that easy for me by providing information online as to tire specifications and hub configuration. Pricing with rims included was very competitive even against tire discounters who offered tires only. Mounted tires were shipped (free shipping) promptly and delivered to my door by UPS. Each tire was individually boxed and had the proper inflation. Easily swapped out the tires in my driveway yesterday saving me a lot of rigamarole running back and forth with the camper to have new tires mounted. Picture attached.

I bought these to replace the 15" tires/wheels on my deck over trailer after having trouble finding 15" tires that could withstand modern highway speeds. I was not sure there was room for them, but they did fit and I've been very pleased with them.

Review from a similar Provider Mod in Trailer Tires and Wheels

Purchased this tire/wheel combo as a spare for my utility trailer. I was amazed at the speed of delivery and the perfect match to the wheels I currently have on the trailer. I also purchased a Master #262DAT spare tire carrier lock and Wishbone #A20WB 4-way wire combo from etrailer. com. Unfortunatly, etrailer did not carry a spare tire carrier that suited my needs so I built my own, everything installed perfectly. I am extremely please with the products and customer service I received from etrailer. Will definitely purchase from etrailer again as the need arises.

Review from a similar Provider Mod in Trailer Tires and Wheels

I needed tires for my 17' boat trailer for an 1800 mile trip to my winter residence. The tires ran very smooth and show no signs of wear. I did have the tires balanced at a local tire dealer before the trip. Very pleased with my purchase and even more so with etrailer pricing and communication.

I could not more pleased with my 6 ply trailer tires and wheels from etrailer. I purchased the tires mounted on the wheels, took them out of the box and put them on my boat trailer. That was a year ago and have had no problems. Previously I had been blowing out 4ply tires as the Triton boat is heavy. This is not my first purchase from etrailer. They sell quality products at a great price and want you to be satisfied as a customer. Thanks George!

Review from a similar Provider Mod in Trailer Tires and Wheels

I needed a spare tire for my trailer and I wanted the rims to match. I saw this and took a chance. Lo and behold they matched perfect. The tire is even better than the ones that came with the trailer. I also got the mounting bracket/carrier. The bolts that came with the bracket were way to long so I went and got some shorter grade 5 bolts and ta da looks good, works great.

Great wheels & tires upgrade for our (then-new) Zieman ski trailer! We haul our skis from CA to AZ several times a year and wanted a bigger/better wheel and tire to handle not only the distance, but all the conditions that we put the trailer through (miles of roads, heat, dirt, sand & water) and these have handled it all exceptionally well.

Yes, you can switch from 16-1/2 inch to 17-1/2 inch wheels and tires on your equipment trailer with 10,000 lb axles. You just need to make sure the wheels have the same bolt pattern and work with the wheel bolts size of your hub and you're good to go. • Can # TTWA215H-175WM Wheel Tire Combo Be Used on a 9/16 Inch Wheel Stud
Because the lug holes used in the wheel aren't tapered at all, you wouldn't be able to use the wheel on a 9/16 lug using a coned lug nut. Could you get by with a 235/85R-16 on a 16 inch wheel with a 4080 lb load capacity? If so, part # TA76FR would be a good choice. The wheel has a 8 on 6-1/2 bolt pattern, and is compatible with a 9/16 inch wheel stud.
