Platinum Plus Warranty with Roadside Assistance

This tire-and-wheel assembly comes with a Platinum Plus warranty that includes complimentary roadside assistance for 2 years. If your trailer has a flat tire, call the help line and a technician will come change out the flat tire with your existing inflated spare tire. The service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In addition to the roadside assistance, this warranty also includes other benefits and services.

Corrosion-Resistant Finish

The steel wheel goes through a 3-step finishing process that makes it both attractive and corrosion resistant. The wheel is first submerged in a zinc phosphate bath to ensure good paint adhesion. It is then e-coated with an acrylic primer base and the outboard side is finished with baked-on DuPont powder paint. The light e-coat on the inboard side of the wheel reduces friction between the wheel and your hub and eliminates the flaking that can occur with a heavily applied paint finish.

Improved Torque Retention Technology

Beveled Stud Holes Front and Back

The automotive-rated center disc is raised and the stud holes are beveled and uncoated for better clamp force retention. This technology helps the wheel stay tight against your hub without the need for constant retightening.

Provider Radials with Automotive-Grade Tread

Provider Tread Vs Standard Tread

Unlike standard trailer tire tread, which has solid, continuous ribs, the automotive-grade tread on these Provider radials has ribs with breaks. These breaks allow water to run off to the sides. The Provider tread also has sipes. Siping is a process in which thin grooves (or sipes) are cut into the rubber of the tire. The grooves channel water away from the tread so that the tire makes better contact with the road. Both of these features greatly improve traction during wet, snowy, or icy conditions.

Provider radials are constructed with double polyester cords and double steel belts for increased durability and endurance. A protective layer of nylon is wrapped around the steel belts to help prevent tread separation. Provider radials are bake tested - a process usually reserved for automotive tires - to ensure that the rubber holds up over time.

Radial Tires vs. Bias Tires

Radial tire vs bias tire graphic

Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.

Determining the Bolt Pattern

The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.

Bolt Pattern - Odd

To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)

Bolt Pattern - Even

On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)

Bolt Pattern - Side

Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

  • If D = 2-5/8", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2"
  • If D = 2-3/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-3/4"
  • If D = 3", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5"
  • If D = 3-1/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5-1/2"

I needed to replace all four tires on my camper. Etrailer made that easy for me by providing information online as to tire specifications and hub configuration. Pricing with rims included was very competitive even against tire discounters who offered tires only. Mounted tires were shipped (free shipping) promptly and delivered to my door by UPS. Each tire was individually boxed and had the proper inflation. Easily swapped out the tires in my driveway yesterday saving me a lot of rigamarole running back and forth with the camper to have new tires mounted. Picture attached.

by:

They were the ONLY place that had this tire in stock, on a silver 4.5 on 5 14" wheel. I ordered and 2 days later it was on the boat. THANKS!

Best price I could find on line or going to different stores + free shipping!! This is a spare for my trailer dolly great to pull my cobra kit car!!

Great product and fast shipping!

by:

The order I placed Saturday afternoon shipped before close of business Saturday and arrived on my doorstep (regular delivery) on Tuesday afternoon. Considering I ordered three replacement tires w/wheels, along with a spare tire mount, for my single axle utility trailer, I was very pleased with how quickly e-trailer got these items to me! I am replacing Goodyear tires that have been installed for 15+ years and have provided good service. After discovering that one of the existing tires had a bad cut across the tread, I was worried it might rupture, leaving me broken down along the road somewhere. As such, it made sense to replace both and add a spare at the same time, something I had meant to do for a number of years.

While I have never bought TaskMaster brand tires before and don't know what to expect, the reviews on the e-trailer website would seem to indicate these are a good product. Physically, the tire/wheel sets I purchased look great and the price was less than any of the local dealers offered. None had these in stock either - I would have had to order them and wait two weeks for them to arrive.

I'll trust my colleagues at e-trailer, who have supplied me other high-quality products in the past, to have done the same with these. Time will tell...

by:

The order was filled quickly and was exactly what I was looking for. It arrived 1 day earlier than scheduled.

by:

Good looking wheel and tire package; bought three - one spare - very happy with product. Two issues, one of them mine.
1. etrailer issue - Tires were unevenly inflated on arrival - two at 46 psi, one at 26 psi.
2. my issue and a tip for others - original tires on the 1968 trailer were 195's bought 205's; had to jack the trailer body up (increasing the distance to the axle so I could jam the tire up between the trailer body and the brake drum.. they fitted - just. I fear a roadside flat. Tows well with these tires when inflated to the 50 psi max.

Comments
Not many miles traveled 12 months later just a couple of psi top up otherwise tires are still perfect and the trailer tows very steady.

I needed to grab an extra spare tire for an upcoming cross country trip. I checked at the dealer and the price quoted was unreasonably high. For the price of one spare at the dealer I could buy 3 here on etrailer. In addition to the great price the tire was shipped promptly and arrived fully inflated and ready to go. Hopefully I won't have to use it any time soon but it looks to be top quality. Very pleased.

by:

I ordered a tire and wheel, but after the order was completed I received a message that the order was backordered. Since I didn't want to wait for the backorder, I was given an option of changing my purchase. The process was simple and quick and handled very well. I would highly recommend etrailer.

by:

etrailer did not have my original selection in stock, but Bryan W. got in touch with me quickly and we found an in-stock replacement. Received the tires in 4 days. They are very nice looking, hopefully I will be able to test them out in a few days. So far I am very satisfied.

by:

The guys at etrailer did a great job helping me to identify which wheel was best for my unit. It was fairly priced and quickly relievers. Would do business with again. Thank you!

by:

I received the wheels & tires quick, sooner then I expected. Excellent packaging, Great looking tires & wheels. Nice tread pattern, great looking paint.
These tires, (radials), were purchased to replace the the setup on my flat motorcycle trailer that had bias ply tires on it, they were moved to my boat trailer that does not travel as far or weigh as much, plus the speed rating is higher. These new tires will haul 2 motorcycles for a far greater distance when we are not riding to our destination
I have not had a chance to install them yet, but do hope to do this today and take the trailer out on the road to see how they ride.
Hopefully they will be balanced well.
I will report on this later.

by:

I needed a spare tire for my boat trailer. I checked with my local tire dealers but did like their price. I had bought some lights from etrailer in the past so I looked at their tires and rims and found exactly what I was looking for and at a fair price. I will be updating my lights to led on my car hauler in the near future and I will be using etrailer again. Excellent company to do business with.

Great service and great product. I would like to thank everyone at etrailer.com for not only saving me a lot of money but sending me good quality product. The Wheels and tires were packaged very nicely and taken very good care of. Most of my friends and family are into the same types of hobbies as I am so it feels really good to be able to refer everyone I know to etrailer.com to save money and get good quality product. A+ in my book thank you

by:

Provider tires have a nice tread design for a trailer tire and I suspect will perform superior in wintry conditions. Have put 300 miles on them since receiving them 2 days ago. Trailer does not sway on highway, ride quiet, and follows vehicle well.
Silver steel mod wheel looks nice. I received one that was low on air and slightly out of round. I had them balanced and one is still slightly out of round- might have to break bead, turn tire 180 degrees, and rebalance.
Always torque lugnuts using a torque wrench and then retorque after the first 100 miles. They will loosen slightly on new wheels.

by:

Starting with the phone call to customer service (Julie H.) to the delivery, and the quality of the product, my experience was excellent. I have previously ordered from etrailer and will continue to order from etrailer whenever I need parts.

Comments
The product has worked as expected but the service has always been exceptional. I am continuing to buy product from e-trailer because of the service before the sale and the service after the sale. Keep up the great job and team work.

Excellent customer service, price point and quality. These new tire/wheel combos are replacing all of the tires and wheels on a 2004 TrailStar single axle boat trailer and will make a 1000 mile trip back home. I am extremely confident these tires will hold up to the rigors of trailering for years to come. Thank you for the prompt service and huge selection of new tires and wheel combos. I will definitely continue to shop with etrailer.

by:

All products acquired through etrailer has not only been of quality but at a very reasonable price. I am very satisfied with my purchases. I inadvertently deleted the other review thinking it was a duplicate. It was for another item. The tire, the mounting bracket, and the front mount hitch were of considerately less cost than going through another provider. I am very satisfied with this company and would highly recommend them to others.

by:

Bought this tire & wheel as a spare for my toy hauler. Easy ordering and good delivery & price. I'd give it 5 stars as it appears to be good quality but as I said I bought it as a spare so with any luck I'll never have to use it!

Comments
Thanks for the follow up....well as my review said I bought it as a spare and have been lucky enough to not had to use it. I carry it everywhere, it still looks new and holds air fine so I know its ready in the event I do have to use it!

by:

Gast delivery and the packaging was excellent. Excellent product.

by:

Product is as stated and fits and looks good. Have not towed trailer yet buy do not think there will be any problems as I have never had a problem with any item I have purchased from etrailer.

Comments
Have towed many times short and long trips no problems. These tires have taken all the bounce out of my trailer and it rides smoother. I thing the stronger side walls helps.
James - 06/04/2019

by:

The product was just as explained on the etrailer website. Only thing I had to do was check the tire pressure. The max pressure on these tires is 50 PSI and each tire was close to 60 PSI. Also my order shipped the same day I ordered and was on my front door step the following day as I live close to etrailer.

by:

Seem to hold up well, haven't used trailer as much as I liked, but they are still looking good and rolling good.

Comments
I do not have enough actual use on these, one has lost air pressure and might be related to the labels left on the tire bead, but not sure. The little I have used them has been great.
Louis - 05/31/2017

by:

Great price, good product, excellent delivery time.very happy with my purchase ,would highly recommend to anyone looking for tires and wheels. Found I could bye tires and wheels cheaper than buying just tires and having them mounted. Now I have spares for my lowbed trailer.

by:

This tires have been awesome over the last year, right out of the box onto the wheel. Pressured and ready to roll, tracking on the tires over the last year were excellent. Will buy again.

  • Will a ST205/75R14 Replace a ST175/80R13 Trailer Tire
A ST205/75R14 sized wheel and tire like the part # TTWA14RSM will eat up about an inch of vertical fender clearance and will be 30 mm wider than your current setup. It sounds like you have plenty of clearance though and this wouldn't be an issue. Since both wheels have the same bolt pattern the new wheel would also bolt right up in place of the old one, and as long as your wheels attach with lug nuts instead of wheel bolts the center pilot hole diameter won't really matter.

  • Do Trailer Tire and Wheel Combos Come Already Balanced
As far as balancing with weights, no, trailer tire and wheel combos are not balanced. What the manufacturers do is try to line up the heavy spot in the wheel with the light spot of the tire. But you can have the tire and wheel combos balanced at a tire shop if you want.

  • Will Changing from 14 x 5-1/2 Wheel to a 14 x 6 Cause Any Problems
Since you're going with the same size tire on a wheel that's just 1/2 inch wider than the wheel you're using now, you would be just fine. The new wheel will place the tire about 1/4 inch closer to the trailer on the inside. As long as you currently have plenty of clearance between the inside of your existing wheels and the trailer, this slightly wider wheel should work just fine for you. I've linked you to our FAQ article that contains more helpful information about trailer tires.

  • Could a Forest River Mini Model 2306 Run 205/75R14 Size Tires
It's not uncommon for an owner of a trailer to go with a larger tire than what the trailer came with. We get people asking us all the time for a larger tire than what they currently have. If you like the way your trailer rides and it has good ground clearance I would stick with the larger tire size that you have. Most likely the previous owner of the trailer went to a larger tire for a reason so I would hate to have you go back to a smaller tire and have ground clearance issues. The best...

  • Spare Tire Recommendation for Trailer with ST205/75R14 Wheels/Tires with 5 on 4-1/2 in Bolt Pattern
The 1/2 inch difference in rim width would not matter. For a spare tire I would recommend the part # TTWA14RSM as it is the same size tire you have of ST205/75R14, is a radial like your current tires, and has the matching bolt pattern wheel you need. I attached a review video for this wheel and tire for you to check out as well.

The wheel is the silver mod wheel style you said you wanted plus it has a radial tire in the size you requested as well. The wheel of the Taskmaster ST205/75R14 Radial Trailer Tire and wheel # TTWA14RSM has a valve stem that is capable of handling 85 psi. Since trailer tires should always be rated for the max psi (65 in this case) I would not recommend inflating the tire beyond that. The date code on a tire is 4 numbers and some trailer tires may not even have it on them or it could be just on one side. The first 2 numbers in a date code are the week and the second 2 are the year. In the example picture I included the date code is 2511 meaning that tire was produced in the 25th week of 2011 (it's an old picture). The 4N4F indicates that the tire was made in China but it isn't a date code. The date code is the last 4 numbers in the DOT code on the tire.
