Platinum Plus Warranty with Roadside Assistance

This tire-and-wheel assembly comes with a Platinum Plus warranty that includes complimentary roadside assistance for 2 years. If your trailer has a flat tire, call the help line and a technician will come change out the flat tire with your existing inflated spare tire. The service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In addition to the roadside assistance, this warranty also includes other benefits and services.

Corrosion-Resistant Finish

The steel wheel goes through a 3-step finishing process that makes it both attractive and corrosion resistant. The wheel is first submerged in a zinc phosphate bath to ensure good paint adhesion. It is then e-coated with an acrylic primer base and the outboard side is finished with baked-on DuPont powder paint. The light e-coat on the inboard side of the wheel reduces friction between the wheel and your hub and eliminates the flaking that can occur with a heavily applied paint finish.

Improved Torque Retention Technology

Beveled Stud Holes Front and Back

The automotive-rated center disc is raised and the stud holes are beveled and uncoated for better clamp force retention. This technology helps the wheel stay tight against your hub without the need for constant retightening.

Provider Radials with Automotive-Grade Tread

Provider Tread Vs Standard Tread

Unlike standard trailer tire tread, which has solid, continuous ribs, the automotive-grade tread on these Provider radials has ribs with breaks. These breaks allow water to run off to the sides. The Provider tread also has sipes. Siping is a process in which thin grooves (or sipes) are cut into the rubber of the tire. The grooves channel water away from the tread so that the tire makes better contact with the road. Both of these features greatly improve traction during wet, snowy, or icy conditions.

Provider radials are constructed with double polyester cords and double steel belts for increased durability and endurance. A protective layer of nylon is wrapped around the steel belts to help prevent tread separation. Provider radials are bake tested - a process usually reserved for automotive tires - to ensure that the rubber holds up over time.

Radial Tires vs. Bias Tires

Radial tire vs bias tire graphic

Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.

Determining the Bolt Pattern

The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.

Bolt Pattern - Odd

To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)

Bolt Pattern - Even

On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)

Bolt Pattern - Side

Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

  • If D = 2-5/8", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2"
  • If D = 2-3/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-3/4"
  • If D = 3", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5"
  • If D = 3-1/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5-1/2"

I needed to grab an extra spare tire for an upcoming cross country trip. I checked at the dealer and the price quoted was unreasonably high. For the price of one spare at the dealer I could buy 3 here on etrailer. In addition to the great price the tire was shipped promptly and arrived fully inflated and ready to go. Hopefully I won't have to use it any time soon but it looks to be top quality. Very pleased. 521574

etrailer did not have my original selection in stock, but Bryan W. got in touch with me quickly and we found an in-stock replacement. Received the tires in 4 days. They are very nice looking, hopefully I will be able to test them out in a few days. So far I am very satisfied. 397077

I ordered a tire and wheel, but after the order was completed I received a message that the order was backordered. Since I didn't want to wait for the backorder, I was given an option of changing my purchase. The process was simple and quick and handled very well. I would highly recommend etrailer. 545364

The order I placed Saturday afternoon shipped before close of business Saturday and arrived on my doorstep (regular delivery) on Tuesday afternoon. Considering I ordered three replacement tires w/wheels, along with a spare tire mount, for my single axle utility trailer, I was very pleased with how quickly e-trailer got these items to me! I am replacing Goodyear tires that have been installed for 15+ years and have provided good service. After discovering that one of the existing tires had a bad cut across the tread, I was worried it might rupture, leaving me broken down along the road somewhere. As such, it made sense to replace both and add a spare at the same time, something I had meant to do for a number of years. While I have never bought TaskMaster brand tires before and don't know what to expect, the reviews on the e-trailer website would seem to indicate these are a good product. Physically, the tire/wheel sets I purchased look great and the price was less than any of the local dealers offered. None had these in stock either - I would have had to order them and wait two weeks for them to arrive. I'll trust my colleagues at e-trailer, who have supplied me other high-quality products in the past, to have done the same with these. Time will tell... 524440

Work perfectly on my 3 rail motorcycle trailer. 807606

Exactly what I ordered and what I needed at a reasonable price. Was delivered in 2 working days. 700153

Just what I was looking for, Priced very well and (free Shipping) stickers were hard to remove, but I am being picky. 677574

fantastic service and delivery. Arrived as stated. Matches the wheels and tires on my dolly. thanx for the great service. 633092

Tire arrived on time in a protected box. Tire was as described on WEB site and as the customer service rep ( Christina) explained to me on phone .Great fast and accurate service. Outstanding job!!!!! 566350

We got the tire, tire cover, and tire carrier. We are extremely satisfied with the items. They are of excellent quality. The order came promptly as they had stated. We are using the items mentioned as a spare for our camper since we got a flat tire on our last. trip. 545895

Good looking wheel and tire package; bought three - one spare - very happy with product. Two issues, one of them mine. 1. etrailer issue - Tires were unevenly inflated on arrival - two at 46 psi, one at 26 psi. 2. my issue and a tip for others - original tires on the 1968 trailer were 195's bought 205's; had to jack the trailer body up (increasing the distance to the axle so I could jam the tire up between the trailer body and the brake drum.. they fitted - just. I fear a roadside flat. Tows well with these tires when inflated to the 50 psi max. 528744

Not many miles traveled 12 months later just a couple of psi top up otherwise tires are still perfect and the trailer tows very steady.

Order tire and rim and received order in a timely matter with free shipping. 524389

All is good will install next week and road test. Do not for see any problems at this time. 516133

Product is as stated and fits and looks good. Have not towed trailer yet buy do not think there will be any problems as I have never had a problem with any item I have purchased from etrailer. 515910

Have towed many times short and long trips no problems. These tires have taken all the bounce out of my trailer and it rides smoother. I thing the stronger side walls helps.

The guys at etrailer did a great job helping me to identify which wheel was best for my unit. It was fairly priced and quickly relievers. Would do business with again. Thank you! 506499

Product is excellent and the price of product was outstanding. 479976

Easy replacement for my outdated spare. 441519

Good so far. It is used as a spare but rim finish like new with no rust after a year.
Peter G - 10/11/2018

Provider tires have a nice tread design for a trailer tire and I suspect will perform superior in wintry conditions. Have put 300 miles on them since receiving them 2 days ago. Trailer does not sway on highway, ride quiet, and follows vehicle well. Silver steel mod wheel looks nice. I received one that was low on air and slightly out of round. I had them balanced and one is still slightly out of round- might have to break bead, turn tire 180 degrees, and rebalance. Always torque lugnuts using a torque wrench and then retorque after the first 100 miles. They will loosen slightly on new wheels. 435996

Great place to deal with and very efficient. Thank you for your service. 426010

Tires arrived super fast and in good condition. Tires were manufactured 3 months ago, so fresh so clean! Easy & convenient bolt on's & great price. Thanks etrailer! 420459

I have these tires on my trailer for a year now and there have been no issues. Great deal for the price. 394559

The tires are an exact replacement for the original tires on my trailer. Customer service steered me away from the ones on back order and got me the ones in stock quickly and easily. Thanks etrailer! 385616

Tires are great, haven't had a problem. Rims look great, it just took a little time to get all the stickers off the rims when they arrived. 374692

I will definitely use you again for my trailer tires. Great shopping site, easy to compare all options, and great prices. 363155

Bought this tire & wheel as a spare for my toy hauler. Easy ordering and good delivery & price. I'd give it 5 stars as it appears to be good quality but as I said I bought it as a spare so with any luck I'll never have to use it! 346582

Thanks for the follow up....well as my review said I bought it as a spare and have been lucky enough to not had to use it. I carry it everywhere, it still looks new and holds air fine so I know its ready in the event I do have to use it!

  • Can Boat Trailer Tires be Balanced and are the Balanced Using the Pilot Holes or Lug Holes
Trailer tires and wheels such as # TTWA14RSM do not have to be balanced like car tires but they can be if you want using a pin plate adapter. Trailer tire and wheel manufacturers will line up a heavy spot in a wheel with the light spot in the tire. To balance them beyond that you can have a local tire shop do it by the lug nuts and not the center pilot hole; that is correct.

  • Recommended ST205/75R14 LRC Tire & 5-on-4-1/2 Trailer Wheel for Highway Use on Boat Trailer
For a wheel/tire in Load Range C with a 5-on-4-1/2 bolt pattern for your boat trailer that will easily handle higher speeds of 70-mph and above I suggest the Taskmaster Provider # A14R45SMPVD. This wheel/tire combination has a weight rating of 1,760 lbs at its 50-psi inflation pressure and it carries an M speed rating, which means it will handle highways speeds up to 81-mph without excessive heat build up that would potentially damage a lower-rated tire.

Both share the popular 5-on-4-1/2 wheel bolt pattern and the same 1760-lb load capacity per tire when properly inflated to their rated 50-psi pressure. In the example picture I included the date code is 2511 meaning that tire was produced in the 25th week of 2011 (it's an old picture). The 4N4F indicates that the tire was made in China but it isn't a date code. The date code is the last 4 numbers in the DOT code on the tire.

It sounds like you have plenty of clearance though and this wouldn't be an issue.
