Corrosion-Resistant Finish

The steel wheel goes through a 3-step finishing process that makes it both attractive and corrosion resistant. The wheel is first submerged in a zinc phosphate bath to ensure good paint adhesion. It is then e-coated with an acrylic primer base and the outboard side is finished with baked-on DuPont powder paint. The light e-coat on the inboard side of the wheel reduces friction between the wheel and your hub and eliminates the flaking that can occur with a heavily applied paint finish.

Improved Torque Retention Technology

Beveled Stud Holes Front and Back

The automotive-rated center disc is raised and the stud holes are beveled and uncoated for better clamp force retention. This technology helps the wheel stay tight against your hub without the need for constant retightening.

Bias Tires vs. Radial Tires

Bias vs. radial tire graphic

Bias ply tires are designed for off-road or agricultural applications. They are built with thick, durable nylon cords that are positioned at a 30- to 45-degree angle to the direction of travel. The layers alternate in a crisscross pattern, making the sidewalls stiffer so that the entire tire is able to flex easily. As a result, the tire provides a smooth ride and improved handling when trailering on uneven surfaces.

Determining the Bolt Pattern

The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.

Bolt Pattern - Odd

To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)

Bolt Pattern - Even

On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)

Bolt Pattern - Side

Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

  • If D = 2-5/8", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2"
  • If D = 2-3/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-3/4"
  • If D = 3", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5"
  • If D = 3-1/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5-1/2"

I bought these tires for my motorcycle trailer. Etrailer got them to me in plenty of time for my trip. They look great and I like the fact that they are rated for higher speed. The lights on the trailer I bought from etrailer about a year ago. I think they look great and they have worked without any issues.

We took a 2000 mile trip after I put on these tires. We had temperatures in the high 90s to low 100s. These tires performed without any issues.I would buy them again.
John - 06/16/2020

The price was right and the shipping was fast. Got the tires and rims on my trailer and they were awesome. Thanks

no issues at all I recommend the tires
Mike - 09/21/2021

Just what I wanted. Replaced china bomb tires with quality tires on my trailer.

Used the tires for a year without issue. Recommended
James M - 09/25/2021

Ordered 3 trailer tires to replace the worn ones and spare on my motorcycle trailer. Ordering was quick and painless and with standard shipping received my order in 3 business days. One of the tires was defective and wouldn’t hold air. etrailer was great in getting a return label and sending out a new tire right away. Their customer service and handling of issue was great. I would highly recommend them for your towing and trailer needs. Great Pricing, quick shipping, and excellent customer service. What more can you ask for in a company!

I was so impressed with these tires and rims! Not only were the rims galvanized but also painted and very good quality! Made my trailer look and drive so much better! They have a great website and very fast shipping!

Taskmaster Silver Mod Bias Ply Trailer Tires and Wheel Its been a year. The tires and wheels needed to be replaced on my SEA DOO trailer. I ordered from E Trailer as usually A great price and product. They arrived i n a timely manner. I just returned from a week in the Adirondack Mountains with the SEA DOO. The tires and wheels are going strong and still look new. The rubber nubs are still on the rubber.

Fastest free shipping I've ever had, arrived in two days, in perfect condition. Used these tires right away for a round trip totaling 320 miles. No issues at all. Worked perfectly. Overall very happy with ever part from the easy ordering, information supplied about the tires, to the communication updates for processing and everything. Will definitely be using etrailer again in the future

So far so good ride smooth

Took these tires from Orlando to Denver and back. They were great at 70 MPH. I still have them on the trailer for frequent runs between Orlando and my lake place in the Ocala National Forrest which is 135 miles round trip. They're holding up very well.

Ive used the trailer at least a dozen times this year as Im refurbishing our lake house and the tires are still going strong!
Robert - 08/18/2019

I purchased a set of these for a trailer project I had and highly recommend both the product and etrailer for any of your trailer needs. Have used the trailer just about every weekend except for winter and these wheels can handle the heavy use. Still look like new with great tread life!

A quality product at reasonable cost. The on-line ordering/website and shipping/tracking are excellent. This is the second purchase I have made with etrailer.com - will keep coming back.

Hard to complain - it's more than I wanted. I was looking for a 4-ply tire on this wheel, but etrailer did not offer that. So, I had to purchase 6-ply. Yes, it's "better", but presumably a waste of money. It shipped super fast and in good condition. So, in the end, all is well.

The order came in as described and I am ready for my first trip with these assist wheels for my 16 foot utility trailer. The quality looks excellent and they fit perfectly.

Very helpful info online. Easy to order. Fast delivery. Great product!

Had this tire for a year now and it’s been perfect with no issues!

A great tire and rim...beats any competitor and couldn't be more pleased.

Everything works great, still all good...whenever I may need more parts, etrailer will be my first place to shop!
Craig S - 07/17/2018

Great value, awesome customer service, and they look great on my boat trailer

The wheels want tires are great. Ill get years of use out of them
Dave Y - 04/08/2020

looks good; I missed important details and "thought" I'd ordered a higher quality product. 2 ply sidewall/4 ply tread- 81mph rated- should be "good enough" for my infrequent uses. Excellent Value overall! Great Price and shipping included! I am a return client and have been consistently satisfied!!!

I'm very satisfied with this spare tire & wheel for my utility trailer. The tire is a quality 6 ply load range C. The wheel almost exactly matches my existing ones.

So far so good. Bought these tires for the 81mph rating. Fast shipping. Thank you etrailer

Awesome wheels and tires! Very fast shipping received them a few days from ordering. Excellent packaging. I highly recommend ordering trailer tires and wheels from here!

ordering went fine, product came in scratched from machine that mounts the tire to the rim. would order locally next time. would not use again.

Customer service was awesome. I can say enough great things. Cathy, my representative, made the purchasing process extremely easy. I even messed up the first order and she sent the new tires quickly. Etrailer is great

Writing the review 12 months after installing. If I remember I have some issues installing, had to grind off some plastic that was in the way, may have been formed incorrectly. No issues after installed looks and works great.

It's a tire and wheel that goes round and round, what more could a guy ask for.

  • Trailer Wheels Compatible with 5 on 5 Inch Bolt Pattern and 2-1/2 Inch Hub Bore
The Provider ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire w/ 15" Vesper Silver Mod Wheel - 5 on 4-1/2 - LR C # MX57FR will not work on your trailer with your current hubs simply because the bolt pattern won't match. You will instead want the Provider ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire w/ 15" White Mod Wheel - 5 on 5 - LR C # A15R5WMQ. This will work well with your bolt pattern and pilot hole bore.

I believe you are asking about a Taskmaster 4.80-12 Tire like part # TTWA12SM but that is radial with a high speed rating. • Importance of Trailer Wheel Pilot Hole Diameter
The importance of matching a wheel's pilot hole diameter to the part of the hub that fits through it depends on the type of wheel. A hub-centric wheel uses the pilot hole to center the wheel on the hub and also to bear some of the total weight load (the rest going on the wheel bolts). Hub-centric wheels typically use wheel bolts rather than lug nuts to attach to the hub. If your wheels are hub-centric, you would want new wheels with the same pilot hole diameter as your current wheels because...

I strongly recommend going with the Taskmaster 4.80-12 Bias Trailer Tire with 12" Silver Mod Wheel # TTWA12SM because these tires are rated for 81 mph. The wheels do have a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern like you need and a 990 lb maximum capacity. This will very much be your best option for the high-speed combo you were wanting. The Taskmaster ST205/75R14 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range C # TR20514 is the closest tire size we have to your 185/65r14 tires. These will have an outer diameter of 26.14 inches instead of your current 23.5 inches and the width will be 8 inches versus your current 7.3 inches. If you have the extra clearance for those differences and account for 4 or more inches of suspension travel between the top of the tire and your fender or trailer floor. • Tires to Replace 185/65-14 Tires on Older Camper
You want to see an absolute minimum of 3 inches of clearance between the top of the tire and the underside of the wheel well/fender. Your current tires are 23.5 inches in diameter, and you'll need something as close as possible to that size for a spare for emergency use. It's not a good idea to mix tire sizes, so you'll be best off going with 3 identical size tire/ wheels. Also, trailer tires have stronger sidewalls and are better suited for trailer use than passenger car tires. The...

  • Boat Trailer Tires Wearing Faster with Bigger Motor Installed on Boat
From what you are describing I bet your tires are wearing quicker because of the extra weight. Since 4.80-12 tires like part # TTWA12SM have a max rating of 990 lbs are 90 psi if you are exceeding this weight limit or you previously had hardly any weight on your trailer this would cause the tires to wear quickly. With the weight rating being 990 lbs that means per axle the most weight your tires can handle is 1,980 lbs (provided that your tires do have that 990 lb rating). I recommend...

  • Replacement Wheel and Tire Recommendation for Size 4.80-12 with Pilot Diameter 2.5 inch
Thanks for the pictures of your wheels and tires! Based on that I can tell that your wheels are lug-centric which means they center on to the hub via the lug nuts and not the center hole of the wheel. So you just need to have a pilot diamter that will fit over the bore of your hub and you'd be set. The part # TTWA12SM that you referenced has a pilot diameter of 2.95 inches and will work great.

  • Why Does Trailer Wheel Measure 13" With 4.80-12 Tire
In order to measure a trailer wheel, you'll do so at the bead seat not the edge of the wheel.
