Platinum Plus Warranty with Roadside Assistance

This tire-and-wheel assembly comes with a Platinum Plus warranty that includes complimentary roadside assistance for 2 years. If your trailer has a flat tire, call the help line and a technician will come change out the flat tire with your existing inflated spare tire. The service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In addition to the roadside assistance, this warranty also includes other benefits and services.

Corrosion-Resistant Finish

The steel wheel goes through a 3-step finishing process that makes it both attractive and corrosion resistant. The wheel is first submerged in a zinc phosphate bath to ensure good paint adhesion. It is then e-coated with an acrylic primer base and the outboard side is finished with baked-on DuPont powder paint. The light e-coat on the inboard side of the wheel reduces friction between the wheel and your hub and eliminates the flaking that can occur with a heavily applied paint finish.

Improved Torque Retention Technology

Beveled Stud Holes Front and Back

The automotive-rated center disc is raised and the stud holes are beveled and uncoated for better clamp force retention. This technology helps the wheel stay tight against your hub without the need for constant retightening.

Provider Radials with Automotive-Grade Tread

Provider Tread Vs Standard Tread

Unlike standard trailer tire tread, which has solid, continuous ribs, the automotive-grade tread on these Provider radials has ribs with breaks. These breaks allow water to run off to the sides. The Provider tread also has sipes. Siping is a process in which thin grooves (or sipes) are cut into the rubber of the tire. The grooves channel water away from the tread so that the tire makes better contact with the road. Both of these features greatly improve traction during wet, snowy, or icy conditions.

Provider radials are constructed with double polyester cords and double steel belts for increased durability and endurance. A protective layer of nylon is wrapped around the steel belts to help prevent tread separation. Provider radials are bake tested - a process usually reserved for automotive tires - to ensure that the rubber holds up over time.

Radial Tires vs. Bias Tires

Radial tire vs bias tire graphic

Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.

Determining the Bolt Pattern

The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.

Bolt Pattern - Odd

To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)

Bolt Pattern - Even

On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)

Bolt Pattern - Side

Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

  • If D = 2-5/8", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2"
  • If D = 2-3/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-3/4"
  • If D = 3", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5"
  • If D = 3-1/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5-1/2"

I just finished installing the new tires and wheels. The old ST205/75D15's were beginning to dry rot on my enclosed car trailer. These new wheels and tires look great on the trailer and switching to the load range D radials should work better too.

by:

The new tires and leveling jacks were delivered quickly and without damage. The jacks were the same as the ones I removed so no new drilling was necessary. Installation was quick. Also, the tires appear to be good quality and the 15” radials should be a safer ride than the original 14” tires. Thanks to posts on ETrailer, I was easily able to order the proper tires for my RPod 179.

by:

Great tire wheel set. Saved me the trouble of cleaning up my old rusted wheels and less cost them mounting new tires on old rims.
Shipped in heavy duty box.
Made my old trailer look like new.

by:

We have had the 15" tires put on our R Pod 179 camper trailer to replace the 14" ones and they work like a dream. We changed them so we could have a sturdier tire and these look like they will do the job. Thanks to e-trailer for helping us select the right tire.

Totally impressed and totally satisfied. Product arrived in just a few days. Item was packed extremely well. Product was exactly as described. Product was exactly the same tire and rim I had on my newly purchased covered trailer. Could not ask for better service. I am hooked on etrailer.com after this first experience. I will be back! Thanks!

Thanks for taking the time to check in with me on the product. Yes, very, very happy with product. I have referred you to several friends when they inquired about it. It is a good product for the price. I could not be any happier. Love your website, customer service, and products you offer. I would not change your business model at all. I really do appreciate you reaching out to customers as well for feedback. It is not forgotten and I appreciate it. Rest assured, the next time I need something, I will check with you first.

Even if I had a flat sometime it would be more than reasonable just to buy another tire and rim.
Being retired I can just sit in our travel trailer, enjoy the wife’s cooking. Knock back some adult beverages and wait for the etrailer delivery. Thanks.

etrailers radial tire on my car hauler made quite a difference. It tracks so much better. Steering wag minimized to none. I'm very pleased. I felt they were a good price. Buying them mounted on new wheels was a real plus for me.
Do it!

by:

Bought the wheel and tire as a spare for my enclosed trailer. I tow on a daily basis and about 3 weeks after the wheel arrived I needed to use it. It has been on the trailer ever since, the wheel still looks good and the tire shows absolutely no wear.

by:

Very nice, high quality wheels and tires. Shipped right away.
I'm replacing the axle, wheels and tires on a favorite trailer I own.
These will work and look great.
Using their advice for how to correctly measure the wheel bolt circle made sure I ordered the right items. Everything fit perfect!
etrailer makes me smile. AGAIN! Thanks

by:

Tires are look good, I wanted radials and not trailer tread, these are heavier load rated than the trailer tires I had, the rims look good also.
Be informed, these are not balanced, they say trailer tires do not need to be balanced...that's a myth, at 65 mph with a camper on top, I'd like them to not wobble, that's common sense. When I was recommended these by their salesman, I was told they were, until I received them and found out they weren't.

by:

etrailer has the tire and jack wheel I wanted at a great price. Delivery was fast. The tire and jack wheel were exactly as described - actually better. So I'm happy - with zero complaints. I will definitely use ETrailer again and I highly recommend them.

by:

Replaced the 14" trailer tires and wheels with 15" Taskmaster tires and wheels on my small single axle travel trailer. Ordering and receiving them was very easy and prompt and they mounted easily. So far so good. Will see how they wear.

by:

As of now, a year after I received my pre mounted tires and wheels, I am still very happy with them. I was sure I was making a good decision when I ordered them from such a reputable dealer. They were a perfect fit. Thank you so much for such products and services!

by:

Tires/Wheels received as advertised. Rims were nicer than expected but had some paint missing from the rim edge from mounting the tires. Not a big deal by any stretch. Overall a good looking set of trailer wheels for a fair price.

by:

There simply is no easier or better method for getting trailer supplies or parts than etrailer!!! A friend told me about them and he was right!!!

Really, fantastic service, product delivery and follow up. These guys know what they're doing and how to get it done. Really nice tires and rims, dress up the horse trailer AND took advantage of their free shipping special. Waited for the other shoe to drop but all went as good as could be expected. Will buy again!

by:

I ordered this as a spare for my flatbed trailer, but after I received it, it's to good a tire to sit on a spare rack.
I've ordered products through etrailer before, and as always, the product and service was excellent.

by:

Excellent tire and rim combo. I chose this as the next load rating up for better hauling at not much of an additional cost. Tires/rims arrived fast from etrailer in an easy to carry box.

by:

Great service on the phone making sure I ordered the proper wheels and tires for my trailer. The wheels were as advertised and arrived quickly.

by:

Very fast shipping and the Provider St/20575r15

tires
and wheels look awesome! Will balance and install them next week! It's great not having to dismount clean and paint wheels to mount tires!

by:

Perfect fit on my utility trailer. Like the fact load range is D. These tires appear a lot higher quality I will write a follow up review in a few months when I have a 2-3k miles on them. All in all very happy with these.

by:

Got 1000 miles on the new wheels and tires. No issues. More importantly, the etrailer customer service was outstanding. When my first choice wasn't available they helped me get my order in time for a trip.

by:

These are the perfect wheels for my travel trailer. Durable up the mountain pass and forest svc roads alike. Buy these! I am so so glad i did. Their good looks are a mere bonus to their great quality.

by:

I had a hard time locating the exact wheel to match the wheels on my camper but this is it! The online purchase process was very simple and convenient. The product arrived within a matter of days and was exactly as advertised. I will definitely purchse future trailer products from etrailer and would recommend etrialer to anyone.

  • How to Determine Wheel Bolt Pattern to Choose New Wheel/Tire Combo
I'm not familiar with a JK42 bolt pattern, nor could I find any information about it online. Your 5 lug wheels could have one of 4 different bolt patterns, 5 on 4-1/2, 5 on 4-3/4, 5 on 5 or 5 on 5-1/2, with 5 on 4-1/2 being the most common. I'll link you to an FAQ article that explains how to measure to determine the wheel's bolt pattern. The easiest way to determine which bolt pattern your wheels use, get a center to center measurement between two adjacent wheel bolt holes. If the distance...

The Provider Wheel and Tire part # A15R645SMD that you referenced would work well for you based on what you listed about your trailer. It has a 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern like what you said you need. This has a center hole diameter of 3.19 inches and a 1,820 lbs at 50 psi capacity that would be more than needed for a Dexter 3,500 lb axle. The center hole diameter really isn't super important as long as it's big enough to fit over the hub. Which this wheel would easily fit on a Dexter...

  • Closest 15 inch Trailer Tire Size to ST215/75R14
Your tire size of ST215/75R14 has an overall diameter of 26.7 inches. The closest 15 inch diameter wheel and tire in terms of diameter to that would be size 205/75-15 which has a 27.1 inch diameter. This would be your best option. If you have the very popular bolt pattern of 5 on 4-1/2 inch you would want the Taskmaster Wheel and Tire part # A15R645SMD. This has a weight capacity of 2,150-lb max load at 65 psi and a higher than usual speed rating of 81 mph.

The tire and wheel combos we carry like the part # A15R645SMD are not machined balanced. You can have the tire and wheel combos balanced at a local tire shop if you wanted to. This is a type of balancing but not like how car tires are balanced (with weights on a balancing machine).

  • Can Tandem Trailer Wheels And Tires Be Changed From 14-Inch To 15-Inch
The difference between the two tires you mentioned is 1-inch. You will take up and additional 1/2 inch of clearance from the tire to the fender. You want at least 3-inches of clearance between the tire and fender for suspension travel. If you have at least 3-inches you should have no problem going to a 15-inch tire and wheel from the 14-inch you have. You do want to make sure you use a wheel with the same bolt pattern. • 205/75-14 Tire and Wheel Recommendation for 4,000 lb Boat Trailer
If your trailer is single axle you would need a Load Range D like the part # A15R645SMD which has a capacity of 2,150 lbs at 65 psi since you have a 4,000 lb trailer. What is also great about the tire on this combo is that it is rated for up to 81 mph unlike other trailer tires that are mostly only rated for 65 mph. If it's tandem a lower Load Range would be just fine.

In nearly all situations trailer rims have a zero offset to balance the load of the trailer equally on both sides of the wheel. I can't see your RPod requiring an offset that isn't zero. I would recommend the part # A15R645SMD for you though. This is a 15 inch wheel with a 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern like you need with a radial tire size of 205/75R15 on it. The speed rating of this tire is 81 mph which is much higher than most trailer tires which are only rated for 65.
