Steel Lug Nut Inserts
This aluminum wheel comes with steel inserts in the lug nut wells. The inserts are pressed into the aluminum, and they help prevent the holes from wearing down over time. This ensures that the wheel stays secured to your trailer hub and that you won't have to constantly retorque the lug nuts.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.
- If D = 2-5/8", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2"
- If D = 2-3/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-3/4"
- If D = 3", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5"
- If D = 3-1/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5-1/2"

Speaker 1: Today we're going to take a look at the 16 inch by six inch Jaguar Silver Machined Aluminum trailer wheel. This will be eight on six and a half inch bolt pattern. Now this is an aluminum wheel. It's very durable, very lightweight and rust proof and this is the Jaguar series, which is an eight split spoke design. It has the silver machine face and lip and then they do silver accent in between the spokes. They do use an automotive grade clear coat finish on the front, which protects it from scuffs and scratches.
They also use the steel inserts in the lug nut wells and this helps keep your wheels securely in place on trailer hub. It prevents the holes from wearing down. It eliminates the need for constant re-tightening of your lug nuts.Now this wheel does come with complimentary roadside assistance for two years. Basically, they'll give you also flat tire service, which is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week anywhere in the U.S., Canada or Puerto Rico.Now it does use a center cap if you prefer. We do sell those separately on our website.

And this wheel does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation specifications and the SAE J1204 standards.A few dimensions on this we're going to measure. The diameter on the wheel is always measured inside to inside or bead seat to bead seat. So if we take our tape measure and we go across inside to inside, you can see 16 inch diameter. The width would be the same way.
Bead seat to bead seat. So inside to inside's right at six inches. So 16 inch by six inch.Bolt pattern on this wheel is an eight on six and a half inch bolt pattern and if you wanted to measure the bolt pattern on a wheel, that's an even number of lugs. In this case, eight. It's pretty easy.
All you have to do is pick one of the holes and you'll measure from the center of that hole directly across to the center of the hole right across from it. So on this wheel it'll measure six and a half inches. So eight on six and a half inch bolt pattern.This will use a wheel lug size of a half inch by 20 or 9/16 by 18. Weight capacity on this wheel is 3,960 pounds and the pilot hole diameter, which is the large hole here in the center of the wheel goes over the hub on your trailer, diameter of that opening is 4.9 inches.But that should do it for the review on the 16 inch by six inch Jaguar Silver Machined Aluminum Trailer Wheel with the eight on six and a half inch bolt pattern.

I had to buy a new wheel to replace one damaged by the tire installer. - ST235/85-16 Load Range G Tire Mounted on Lion's Head Jaguar 16 x 6 RimI can get you a Taskmaster Contender load range G 14-ply rated tire in 235/85-16 as part # PTCG235R16, and I can offer you the # 274-000026 wheel separately, as we don't have the equipment at our facility to mount tires. Taskmaster doesn't offer that tire size in a load range G, and Lion's Head is owned by Westlake Tire, so the only way to get that tire mounted on that rim given that we can't do it here would be to purchase the items separately and have them mounted locally.
