Bias ply tires are designed for off-road or agricultural applications. They are built with thick, durable nylon cords that are positioned at a 30- to 45-degree angle to the direction of travel. The layers alternate in a crisscross pattern, making the sidewalls stiffer so that the entire tire is able to flex easily. As a result, the tire provides a smooth ride and improved handling when trailering on uneven surfaces.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Dave - 02/24/2022These were a nice set of wheels with new tires mounted. Used them on an aluminum trailer that had rusty steel wheel and aged tires. Nice upgrade and peace of mind having new tires instead of weather-checked, 15 year old rubber. Only thing I didn't like is not having sufficient clearance to use a, 1/2" drive, impact rated socket on the lugs. I'll have to remember to take along a thin-walled, deep socket and breaker bar on long trips when I'm carrying a spare.
I like the quality and price of the wheel, tire, spare tire mounting bracket, and the trailer wheel bearings for all four wheels for my Venture boat trailer. And I am a repeat customer who likes the product assistance provided on the telephone at eTrailer. However, I was a little disappointed that it took so long for the free shipping to get here. I placed the order on Nov 30 and received it yesterday on Dec 12.

Tires and rims are great, but they need balanced. I can spin both tires on my single axle trailer without brakes and they stop at the same spot with the heaviest at the bottom. If the heaviest area stops just before the top, it will rotate the other direction. I know some people believe you don't need to balance trailer tires, but this is a little beyond slightly out of balance for me. I will have to take and pay to have them balanced now.
High quality product at a great price and very quick shipping. Received a few days after placing order (far earlier than expected) and received confirmation it was shipped on a Sunday no less. Each tire was packaged in an individual substantial cardboard box and received without the slightest hint of damage. Wheels look sharp on my 7,000 pound utility trailer. Tread pattern appears to offer long life. Couldn't be happier and highly recommend this product and vendor.
My only suggestion would be that the stickers noting care instructions for the rim be placed on the back side rather than the front. Removal of the sticker results in the adhesive remaining on the rim which is difficult to get off without potentially compromising the rim finish.
