Video Transcript for Kenda Tires and Wheels - Tire Only - AM10414 Review

Today we'll be reviewing part number AM10414. This is the Kenda Light Truck Tire K391M with a load range of E. The tire size is 7.00-15LT. Because the "LT" is after the tire size, that means that this can be used for trailer use as well. If the "LT" is before the tire size, then we would just be limited for a light truck use. This is designed to fit 15-inch by 5-inch, 15-inch by 5 1/2-inch and 15-inch by 6-inch wheels. It's going to give us a section width from outer edge to outer edge of 7.8 inches and an outer diameter, when fully inflated, from edge to edge of 29.4 inches. It's going to offer a load range of E with a 10-ply rating.

The maximum load is 2,403 pounds at 70 psi. You can see here with the unique tread design that it's going to offer good performance in wet or dry conditions. This also meets Department of Transportation requirements. It's also got all the indicators listed here on the outer wall of the tire. That way you can always use that as a quick reference guide if you ever need any of that information. That's going to complete today's review of part number AM10414.

This is the Kenda Light Truck Tire. .

Excellent tire. I load quite a bit of firewood on my trailer. This means backing it into places with possible sharp pieces of wood debris, and sharp stones. Seems like it is performing to the task. For the price, it is a pretty high-quality tire. 747308

Well, so far so good on my vintage single axle Airstream trailer! Have about 6K total on them with 5.5K north to Canada's Maritime Provinces, where the roads were less than optimal! I have a TPMS system on them and no loss of air and temps remained well within parameters going down the road. I like a tire that keeps on rolling! 598201

Loved the look of the tire, on my 71 trailer, much like original. I did have a problem, with the tires. After 7,000 miles they both devoleped an inverted dent in the tread, the tire manufacturer replaced them no problems, I have not been traveling on my new tires yet. 497975

I couldn't find these vintage bias ply trailer tires locally and found them at etrailer.com. I found two that matched my original Kenda 7.00 16 s but were even a stronger tire than what I already had. Wish I hadn't previously bought two radials locally and could have bought all four from etrailer. Their price was fair, good quality tire, quick and free shipping. Very, Very happy with this purchase, Thank you. 450359

These are great tires. My Airstream only has one axle so each tire has to hold a ton. I was running Load Range D which was adequate but these are Load Range E so I now have a lot of margin of safety. The tires showed up on my front porch, I jacked up the trailer, pulled the wheels, took the whole project to the local tire shop where they mounted them for me. I came home, put them on the hubs, lowered the trailer to the ground, put away all my tools, and poured a beer. I'll be hauling this trailer on several trips this year that will total a couple thousand miles. I'm glad to have good rubber and thick cord. 341026

These tires are the best! I used them to drive to Madras, Oreg., for the great solar eclipse. I used them when I drove to LA to move my daughter after she finished grad school it was 104 degrees down there.

7.00 x 15" is a tire size getting harder to find. etrailer had them in stock and shipped them quickly. Can't ask for much more than great pricing and fast shipping. Oh, and these tires are fresh (less than a year old), not tires that have been sitting in a wharehouse somewhere for the past 5 years. 225489

Unpackaged, at local tire dealer having put on rim now. A difficult tire size and load rating to find at the larger tire dealers and nice to have it easily shipped to the house. Replacing a tire on a cattle trailer and needed the E Load rating in 7.00-15 size. Happy so far. 224986

  • Recommended LT tire and 6 Bolt Wheel for 7.00x15LT Spare Tire
For your 7.00x15LT spare tire we don't have a mounted option or the ability to mount them. I recommend getting the Kenda Light Truck Tire K391M - 7.00-15 LT - Load Range E # AM10414 or # AM10412 - Load Range D along with a compatible wheel like # AM20532. You can use any tire shop/mechanic you trust to install. Trailer tires are not balanced like a vehicle tire so they will need a Pin Plate Adapter. I've attached an article to assist.

  • Larger Tires and Axle Over-Under Kits to Lift Trailer Height
Your 225/75-15 tires have an overall diameter of 28.4 inches and the next size up in a 15-inch tire is size 7.00-15LT which is an inch larger overall. A 7.00-15LT bias ply tire like # AM10414 will fit on several wheel sizes, 15 x 5, 15 x 5-1/2 and 15 x 6 so it may fit on your current wheels. Switching to this tire size will lift the trailer by about 1/2-inch. If you have the vertical and lateral clearance within your wheel wells to move to a 16-inch tire size like 235/85-16, which is...

It's maximum capacity is 2,403 pounds at 70 psi so it's plenty for your trailer's weight. For your weight capacity you can actually go down to the D rated tire, part # AM10412, of the same size. It's rated for 2,156 pounds at 60 psi so it's still plenty for you.
