This tire-and-wheel assembly comes with complimentary roadside assistance for 2 years. If your RV or trailer has a flat tire, call the help line and a technician will come change the flat for you. You can call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year from anywhere in the United States, Canada, or Puerto Rico.
This tire has a 1-year No Excuses Guarantee. If within the first 12 months the tire is damaged in any way that's not covered by warranty, it will be replaced at no charge. You will also be compensated a flat labor rate for the cost of mounting the replacement tire.
The NitroFill inflation process filters out oxygen to ensure that this tire-and-wheel assembly is filled with 95 to 99.9 percent pure nitrogen. Nitrogen-inflated tires maintain pressure better than tires inflated with standard air. This makes them ideal for RVs and trailers that are driven infrequently or sit in storage for long periods of time. Other benefits of consistent tire pressure are better fuel economy, improved braking and handling, decreased chance of tire failure, and longer tire life.
A tire inflated with standard air, which contains oxygen, is prone to fluctuations in pressure due to loss of air over time and ambient temperature changes. Nitrogen-inflated tires don't experience these fluctuations for a couple reasons. First, nitrogen molecules are larger than oxygen molecules, so they are less likely to permeate a rubber tire. Second, nitrogen is a dry gas, so it won't allow condensation to build inside the tire. A tire inflated with standard air may have moisture in it, which means it is more likely to be affected by ambient temperature.
In addition, the moisture that can collect in a tire inflated with standard air will contribute to corrosion of the wheel and deterioration of the rubber tire from the inside out. A nitrogen-inflated tire-and-wheel assembly is less likely to experience this type of decay. Less moisture in the tire also means reduced running temperatures.
If necessary, you can top off the tire with standard compressed air. But to maintain the benefits of nitrogen, the tire must be refilled with nitrogen.
This aluminum wheel comes with steel inserts in the lug nut wells. The inserts are pressed into the aluminum, and they help prevent the holes from wearing down over time. This ensures that the wheel stays secured to your trailer hub and that you won't have to constantly retorque the lug nuts.
Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Goodyear G114 Tire in the size 215/75R15.5 Radial Tire in a Load Range H on this 17 1/2 inch Black Machine Lynx Series Aluminum Wheel with the 8 on 6 1/2 inch bolt pattern. Now, this tire and wheel assembly is ideal for RVs, campers, trailers. This tire does come nitrogen filled to help maintain tire pressure longer than standard air, and the way you can tell that is if you look at the cap on this, you'll notice it has a green valve stem cap, that designates that it is filled with nitrogen. Nitrogen will help prolong the life of the tire and the wheel. One other feature on this cap, if you look at the top of the cap, it actually has the emblem for the TPMS symbol, and this does include a TPMS sensor installed inside the tire to monitor your tire pressure, so it'll be all ready to go with a tire pressure in that, all you would have to do is get it programmed when you put it on your trailer vehicle.
Now the wheel, this is an aluminum wheel, it's very durable, lightweight, and rustproof, it is a Black Machine Eight Spoke Lynx Series design, you can see it has the black insert color, the side of the spokes are machine finished, and the outer lip is machine finished to give a nice shine to it. This does use steel inserts in the lug nut wells, wanna zoom in to show you what we're talking about, but if you look right here where your lug nuts go, it does use steel inserts to help keep the wheel securely in place on your trailer hub. Those inserts help prevent the holes from elongating or wearing down, eliminates the need for constant re-tightening of your lug nuts. We mentioned this tire is a Goodyear G114 Radial Tire, it's great for highway use. Does use a nylon tread firming belt overlay to help prevent tread separation, does use the rounded shoulder ribs to enhance ribs stability to provide even wear, and this assembly does come with complimentary roadside assistance for two years, and it also has flat tire service available 24/7 anywhere in the US, Canada, or Puerto Rico.
This assembly does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation Specifications. Basically, the tire will meet the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards, and the aluminum wheel meets the SAE J1204 standards. Now, the center hole here that goes over the hub on your trailer, this will measure 4.9 inches. Now, this does not come with a center cap, if you do want a center cap, we do sell those separately on our website. You do wanna make sure to get a center cap that will have that diameter of 4.9 inches that will fit through here.
Few specs on this, on the wheel itself, the diameter is measured 17 1/2 inches, the width of just the wheel, 6 3/4 inches, and the bolt pattern on this wheel is an 8 on 6 1/2 inch bolt pattern, and if you wanna measure that on a wheel, that's an even number of lugs, like in this case eight. It's pretty easy, because all the lug holes are directly across from each other, so when you go to measure it, all you have to do is pick any hole, let's say this one, and then you'll measure from the center of that hole directly across to the center of the hole right across from it. So on this one, it'll measure 6 1/2 inches, so this is an 8 on 6 1/2 inch bolt pattern. The wheel lug size used with this is a 9/16 by 18, the weight capacity of just the wheel by itself is 4,850 pounds, and the tire size, which will be stamped on the sidewall is 215/75R17.5, the R will let you know that it is a radial design tire. Section width, 8.8 inches, overall diameter from the bottom to the top when it's inflated is 30.5.
This tire is a Load Range H, which means it's a 16 ply rated tire, has a maximum load capacity of 4,805 pounds at a 125 psi. And the last thing I do wanna mention is most all the new tires are coming through with a speed rating stamped on them, and they stamp it on the sidewall by using a letter designation. So on this one, you'll see where it's located, I'll show it to you. Here it is right here. Right here is the tire size we went over, right before the tire size, you'll see two numbers for the load index, and then they stamp the letter L. Speed rating L will mean this has a 75 mile per hour speed rating. But that should do it for the review on the Goodyear G114 215/75R17.5 Radial Tire in a Load Range H mounted on this 17 1/2 inch Black Machine Lynx Series Aluminum Wheel with the 8 on 6 1/2 inch bolt pattern..
