Unlike standard trailer tire tread, which has solid, continuous ribs, the tread on these Castle Rock radials has ribs with breaks. These breaks allow water to run off to the sides. The Castle Rock tread also has sipes. Siping is a process in which thin grooves (or sipes) are cut into the rubber of the tire. The grooves channel water away from the tread so that the tire makes better contact with the road. Both of these features greatly improve traction during wet, snowy, or icy conditions.
Castle Rock radials are constructed with double steel belts and double nylon cords. A protective layer of nylon is wrapped around the steel belts to help prevent tread separation.
Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.

Today we're going to take a look at the Castle Rock ST 205 75R15 radial trailer tire in a load range C. Now this is a radial tire, it's great for highway use. It is constructed with double steel belts, double nylon plies. They do use a nylon tread firming belt overlay, to help prevent tread separation, and they do use tread wear indicators like you'll see on passenger car tires, where it gives you a visual indication of how the tread is wearing on your tires. This tire does have siping on the tread blocks, this'll let you channel away water from underneath the tire to help improve traction during wet, snowy or icy conditions. This is an ST tire, which means special trailer tire, uses the sturdy sidewalls so that it can handle heavy loads, and it is created specifically for trailers.
It's not intended for use on any other vehicles. This tire does come with a complimentary roadside assistance for two years, and they have flat tire service available 24/7 anywhere in the U.S, Canada or Puerto Rico. This tire does meet the DOT; Department of Transportation and the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard specifications.A few specs on this. This tire is designed to fit on a 15 inch by five inch wide wheel, 15 inch by five and a half inch wide, 15 inch by six, and a 15 inch by six and a half inch wide wheel. The tire size, which will be stamped on the sidewall, ST for special trailer 205 75R15, the R designates that it is a radial tire. Section width on this tire is eight inches.
Overall diameter from the bottom to the top when it's in flight, it's 27.1. Capacity on this tire is a load range C which means it's a six ply rated tire. It does have a maximum load capacity of 1,820 pounds at 50 PSI.The last thing I do want to mention is most all the new trailer tires are coming through with speed ratings now, and a speed rating is stamped on the tire also. One place you can find it is right down here where it says load range C, it'll have two numbers for the load index and then the letter L at the end. L will stand for 75 mile per hour speed rating, and then they also have it, where else It was written right here, it says speed rating L, and then in parentheses it says 75 miles per hour. That should do it for the review on the Castle Rock, ST 205 75R15 radial trailer tire in a load range C..

Complimentary roadside assistance is included.I looked for a matching tire for my trailer and they had one. I ordered it and it shipped out the same day. Very pleased with the service.
My satisfaction is as much with e-trailer as it is the tire. I needed to match other tires that are on my trailer and I wanted an exact match which e-trailer is the only one that had them in stock. The quick response in shipping (free by the way) and delivery is much appreciated. I received the tire 3 days early. Their communication with me with each step was above and beyond. I will definitely use e-trailer again and recommend them to friends!
Ordering process went smoothly.
Got the tire to replace existing spare tire for enclosed trailer.
E trailer had the tire in stock! Had a great price and it was delivered quickly! Not the first time I have ordered something and won’t be the last! Great service!
Tire shipped quickly and was the exact replacement for the trailer. Also, it was the best price that I could find for the tire.

great communication and prompt delivery
Excellent
Product came on time and as expected!
I was pleasantly surprised that etrailer.com had this tire size and brand. I wanted an additional spare tire/wheel set to prepare for the possibility of losing a second tire when traveling.
Well this order is a replacement for the original tire with less than 5000 miles on it that has a busted band so that is why I cannot give it a top rating. I ordered this tire to match treads of my other tires.
Arrived early and in good conditions.
Excellent site to navigate , very fast delivery !!!!
Had a blowout while driving my enclosed trailer and this tire is the Perfect replacement tire
I bought this tire to replace exactly the one that was on the trailer. I've found different manufacturers tires are not exactly the same size even though the numbers match. I had one tire on my dump trailer locking up when I applied the brakes. It was a different manufacturer and when comparing it was actually about a 1/2" smaller height wise. This is the exact tire that the rest of the tires on my trailer are and it has been working great. It is just a tire. Not to much t report on.
It was super easy to find what I was looking for, and the fast free shipping was wonderful. The video review gives you peace of mind that you are ordering the right products. Thank you for making my shopping experience so enjoyable!
etrailer was the only place I could find to order a tire that matched the other three tires on my RV. Ordering was easy and the tire was delivered when they said it would be. The tire was delivered in a cardboard box with handles making it easy to move around. If I ever need another tire I would definitely use etrailer.com again.
