This tire has a 1-year No Excuses Guarantee. If within the first 12 months the tire is damaged in any way that's not covered by warranty, it will be replaced at no charge. You will also be compensated a flat labor rate for the cost of mounting the replacement tire.
The NitroFill inflation process filters out oxygen to ensure that this tire-and-wheel assembly is filled with 95 to 99.9 percent pure nitrogen. Nitrogen-inflated tires maintain pressure better than tires inflated with standard air. This makes them ideal for RVs and trailers that are driven infrequently or sit in storage for long periods of time. Other benefits of consistent tire pressure are better fuel economy, improved braking and handling, decreased chance of tire failure, and longer tire life.
A tire inflated with standard air, which contains oxygen, is prone to fluctuations in pressure due to loss of air over time and ambient temperature changes. Nitrogen-inflated tires don't experience these fluctuations for a couple reasons. First, nitrogen molecules are larger than oxygen molecules, so they are less likely to permeate a rubber tire. Second, nitrogen is a dry gas, so it won't allow condensation to build inside the tire. A tire inflated with standard air may have moisture in it, which means it is more likely to be affected by ambient temperature.
In addition, the moisture that can collect in a tire inflated with standard air will contribute to corrosion of the wheel and deterioration of the rubber tire from the inside out. A nitrogen-inflated tire-and-wheel assembly is less likely to experience this type of decay. Less moisture in the tire also means reduced running temperatures.
If necessary, you can top off the tire with standard compressed air. But to maintain the benefits of nitrogen, the tire must be refilled with nitrogen.
This aluminum wheel comes with steel inserts in the lug nut wells. The inserts are pressed into the aluminum, and they help prevent the holes from wearing down over time. This ensures that the wheel stays secured to your trailer hub and that you won't have to constantly retorque the lug nuts.
Unlike standard trailer tire tread, which has solid, continuous ribs, the tread on these Castle Rock radials has ribs with breaks. These breaks allow water to run off to the sides. The Castle Rock tread also has sipes. Siping is a process in which thin grooves (or sipes) are cut into the rubber of the tire. The grooves channel water away from the tread so that the tire makes better contact with the road. Both of these features greatly improve traction during wet, snowy, or icy conditions.
Castle Rock radials are constructed with double steel belts and double nylon cords. A protective layer of nylon is wrapped around the steel belts to help prevent tread separation.
Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Complimentary roadside assistance included.I got the rim/tire combination with the Lionshead SS Lugnuts and chrome center cap. You need the center cap to "complete" it. I couldn't be happier with it. They are exactly as shown and look as I imagined them. They are surprisingly light. Additionally, etrailer, makes the purchase easy. Gives you a link to closely monitor delivery. They shipped immediately and delivery was quick. My tires were nicely packaged and arrived in perfect size boxes marked "etrailer". Apparently they have their own boxes made for this which shows the care that goes into making sure your purchase isn't damaged.
Wheels/Tires arrived on the day promised. They were exactly what I ordered along with the lug nuts and hub covers. I am very happy with the quality and finish of all items and they definitely gave my 28 year old boat trailer a much need face lift.

After one year the rims and tires are holding up very good! I still remember how nicely packaged and protected they were the day they came and they look just like they did that day. I got a lot of compliments on them at the boat ramp, over the summer. Actually, I just bought a new travel trailer and I was excited to see them on it.
Keith - 12/23/2020These wheels are beautiful. But I was unable to mount them on my 1998 Terry 245L 5th Wheel, because they are thicker than my OEM wheels. Does this wheel require special lug nuts? I looked on your website and it doesn't say so. These wheels on my existing studs with my existing lug nuts only engage 3/8" of the threads. Not safe. No auto parts stores had lug nuts that would work, so I had to dismount the tires from these wheels and mount them on my rusted-up OEM wheels. I could use some advice from etrailer. The only option offered to me locally is to change out ALL the wheel studs to longer ones. Thank you for your help.

The price was only slightly more than the generic white wheel and tire combo for the local farm supply. Unfortunately the load range D tire and wheel combo wasn’t available. But for spare tires I believe the load range C tires will work well enough. I’ve ordered other products from etrailer and have been equally pleased.
