The resistance from Timbren's Suspension Enhancement System works with the trailer's suspension to keep it level, which improves driving performance for your vehicle. When hauling heavy loads, you will often see the rear of the vehicle sag, while the front end raises up. In this case, the rear axle is handling not only the weight of the cargo, but more of the vehicle's weight as well. Since less weight is on the front axle, the front tires are making significantly less contact with the road, reducing traction, which decreases the vehicle's steering and stopping performance.
The Timbren system has a custom bracket that will be bolted onto the trailer frame above the axle. Hollow rubber springs are bolted to the bottom of the bracket and hang down to where the bottom of the spring sits one inch above the axle. The inch of clearance allows the existing factory suspension to operate normally under light loads and standard terrain, ensuring the smooth, comfortable ride you are used to.
Timbren Suspension Enhancement Systems are designed to work progressively. When the hollow rubber springs are compressed, the convoluted design causes them to quickly collapse along the folds. Once the folds are compacted, the stacked barrel shape provides increased resistance, stiffening the suspension and keeping the trailer level.
Each hollow rubber spring works independently to support the driver's or passenger's side of the trailer. This is helpful when you swerve or make sharp turns. Each spring is activated when it is needed, so body roll is greatly reduced. The independent action also works well when hauling off-center loads.
Timbren Suspension systems help compensate for all of the probable causes of trailer sway - from unbalanced loads to gusts of wind from passing vehicles. Installing Timbren will make your trailer track better behind your vehicle and provide a safer more comfortable towing experience.
When hauling heavy loads, the resistance from Timbren's hollow rubber springs will work with the trailer's suspension to raise the trailer's ride height. This is will take additional strain off of the hitch components and help the trailer ride easier.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the Timbren Trailer Suspension Enhancement System for the spring over axle configurations, and this has its 5,000-pound weight capacity. Now this kit here is designed for trailers with spring over axle configurations that have a 2 3/8-inch diameter to 3-inch diameter axle. This part will include everything shown here. The two hollow rubber springs, all the mounting brackets you need, all the hardware you need, a nice set of instructions that will describe how it all goes together, and it will also install with the existing U-bolts that are on your axle. Now these hollow rubber springs, they designed to sit above the axle.
They help to stabilize and level the trailer while absorbing road shock and reducing sway. It does improve suspension handling and safety, and it provides additional support as needed, so you always have a nice, smooth, comfortable ride. Basically, it'll allow the leaf springs ample movement while cushioning light loads, and these do become more rigid as more weight is at it. This will increase stability, provides great performance while hauling heavy loads, and it even raises the trailer ride height. These do work independently side-to-side.
They'll help compensate for off-center loads and they do reduce body roll when swerving and turning corners. It'll help work to eliminate your trailer sway. And these do also act as shock absorbers, taking the brunt of any bumps and rough roads, which will help extend the life of your trailer's suspension. A few specs again, the application. Spring over axle trailer configuration with a 2 3/8-inch diameter to 3-inch diameter axle and 2-inch wide leaf springs.
Now if you're gonna use this on a tandem axle application, it does require two kits. And again, these are designed to work with a suspension system that is in good working order. Capacity, again is 5,000 pounds. One note you do wanna remember is do not exceed the trailer's weight carrying capacity. And the last thing I just want to give you the overall height.
So if we put a ruler on it, bottom to very top, looking at about 6 1/4 inches overall height. But that should do it for the review on this Timbren Trailer Suspension Enhancement System for the spring over axle configurations.
