Video Transcript for Breaking Down the Triple-Axle Trailer Equalizer Kit for 2" Slipper Springs

Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the Dexter Triple Axle Trailer Equalizer Kit for two inch wide slipper springs. Now, this kit here will include four of these 13 and one eighth inch long equalizers and all the necessary bolts and hardware you need for suspending your lease spring from your trailer frame. Now, when this is used with the part number H302 that we sell separately, it'll give you a complete triple axle kit. Just to pop up an insert, that H302 kit would be that insert I just pictured there, and it contains the front, the center, and the rear hangar, and the mounting hardware for that.

So basically, if you order that kit along with this kit, that would get you a complete triple axle kit. And we actually do sell it all together as a kit that goes by part number AP316-H302. Now, this kit here is designed for use on trailers with triple 3,500 pound to 8,000 pound axles. This will allow you to attach six slipper springs to your trailer frame. Now the slipper springs, we do sell separately on our website.

This kit right here is what'll include, I'm gonna go through all these parts, but basically we'll start with the equalizers. They are a 13 and one eight inch long straight equalizer. And again, if we put our ruler or tape measure on that, show you there's your 13 and one eighth inch measurement. So when these are used, it'll allow for 36 inches between your axles. They do have the center diameter hole of seven eights of an inch diameter.

That's for mounting to the hangar. Over here they have a nine 16 diameter spring eye hole for attaching to the spring. And down here they have a five 16th diameter spring keeper hole. Does come with all the hardware here. Start with the spring keeper bolts.

They're a three and a quarter inch long by five 16th diameter. Six of them. Keeper bolts with the lock nuts included. Over here we have six of the three and a half inch long nine 16th diameter spring eye bolts with the lock nuts. And then right in here, we have the four four and a half inch long by seven eights inch diameter wet equalizer bolts with the lock nuts. And when I say wet equalizer bolts, if you notice on the end they do have a grease Zerk fitting, and that allows you to attach a grease gun to that, and pump grease in there for easy lubrication of the bolts. Now, this kit does not include the components for mounting your axle to your springs. But that should do it for the review on the Dexter Triple Axle Trailer Equalizer Kit for two inch wide slipper springs.

I have used the trailer for about a yr. now. The suspension is holding up very well, under my 1150 case bull dozer, and back hoe that I haul with it. I am very happy with my purchase of the suspension, for this low-boy trailer. It pulls better than it did before, and tracks better also. Thank you ! Allen S

  • 12 Inch Slipper Spring Equalizer Kit Recommendation
The only 12 inch slipper spring equalizer we offer is the part # E4541-Z. For shackle bolts you would need the part # 166079, for equalizer bolts you would need # TRFA71063, cotter pin part # 165649, and for spring keeper bolts part # 7-7. We do not have all of this in a kit though.
