Specs:
The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The circuit board is sealed, which means that water will not damage the diodes or circuit board.
A PC-rated light produces a 90-degree angle of light to either side of its centerline for a total of 180 degrees of coverage. This beam pattern can be clearly seen when you are standing directly in front of the light, as well as when you are standing on either side of the light. When properly installed, this type of light can function as both a front clearance light and a side marker light or as a rear clearance light and side marker light.

Today on our utility trailer, we're going to be installing the Bargman amber clearance light with stainless steel hardware, part number 47-99-006. Here's what our Bargman clearance light looks like. You'll notice on the backside, there's just a single wire that comes out of it. This will be tied in with the running light circuit of the trailer. The ground is actually grounded through the mounting stud. You'll notice how the wire can go up either on the top, or there's a slot down here on the bottom, depending on your trailer. On this particular trailer, there's a hole here.
That's for mounting the light, as well as an additional hole was drilled in order to pull the wire through so it doesn't get pinched and damaged. Now, with our light in place, you can see here our wire's coming through this, a second hole, so it's not pinched and can be damaged. Then take the lock nut that comes with the light, put it back on with the rear stud. You can then go ahead and take our wrench. It's a 7/16 socket, to tighten down the light. Next, we're going to need to make our connection. This black wire here on this particular trailer is a running light circuit wire.
We're just going to tie the two wires together. Strip a little bit of wire back from both sides. To connect our two wires together, we're going to be using a blue heat-shrink butt connector. This is part number DW05744-5. Once we have it crimped down, we'll go ahead and use our heat gun to seal off the butt connector. If you don't have a heat gun, a cigarette lighter will work.
Just make sure that you keep the flame moving so that you don't burn either the butt connector or either wire. Once we have the butt connector sealed off, we're going to go ahead and wrap the rest of the wire here with a little bit of electrical tape to give it a little more protection. We've gone ahead and turned the light out for you so you can see what it'll look like at nighttime. You can see how nice and bright your side mark, the light, is. That way, you can see where the side of your trailer is when you look in your rear view mirrors on your vehicle, as well as allowing other people to see where the edge of your trailer is. That'll do it for the installation of the Bargman amber clearance light with stainless steel hardware, part number 47-99-006. .

Ordered this item to replace a burned out light on my boat trailer. It arrived quickly and was packaged in a box rather than a bag to protect from damage. My original light was a wire-through-the-mounting-stud type. The replacement has a solid stud and the single wire is off to the side of the stud. I had to drill an 1/8" hole along side the stud hole to run the wire through. Very minor installation requirement. The light is brighter that the original and works great.
EZ to install. Very bright. Well made. Purchased to match rear lights on our utility trailer which were also upgraded to LED.
Great quality metal base with star washer to ensure proper ground. long wire to easy hook up into harness. would buy again
Very bright light. I have not submerged yet, but assume it should be okay. One thing, may be my application, but when I tightened the nut down, the light does not work. Loosened it up a tad and boom works... don't know what that is about, but good light when on!
December order took 13 days before it arrived but that's the holiday mail. I thought the price was a wee bit high but it was the one I needed and an exact replacement for the broken one.
Nice and bright. Simple installation. Good value.
Just what I needed!
Very good quality material. Wire lead is plenty long. Lens is polished and the diodes are bright. Price is right.
Lights were as described. Shipping was good being it was a holiday schedule.
Etrailer has always delivered on time as promised. Reasonable prices.
A clearance light on my boat trailer failed after eleven years. Rather than driving all over town to try and find a store that carried a replacement light, I did a Google search on the Internet. A few automobile store sites came up and I searched for the replacement light without finding the same manufacturers replacement light. The etrailer site was also listed as a site so I connected to it and entered the model number of the clearance light I was looking for. The exact clearance light I was looking for was available at a reasonable price so I ordered one to install and one as a spare. Shipping cost was reasonable and the clearance lights were delivered via USPS in a few days. Great service! Try the site for any of your trailer needs from lights to towing mirrors, you will not be disapointed.
The product arrived earlier than expected, those LED's are bright!!! See for yourself!
Received this product(s) (2) in a timely manner. Packaging was excellent. The lights were extremely easy yo install, appear to be of good quality and should last a long while. Time will tell. etrailer was easy to deal with and their web site was easy to navigate. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again should the need arise.
Had to wait a couple of weeks for one piece on the order to come in, but etrailer let me know what was going on. Product looks good, will install in the next couple of days. 2nd time I've used etrailer, good stuff, good prices, good service.
Easy to install, easy on the pocket boo k.
The light is just what I needed, the fact you shipped the parts the same day I ordered was perfect. The problem is you gave my parts to UPS for delivery. They took the parts to Kansas City where it sat for a day, then trucked to Orlando, 2 days , then UPS gave them to USPS and that took 6 days, tracking said I would get it on the 30th, no show, then tracking said it would be the 4th, then they show up on the 1st of April. I left Fla. On the 31st.
I had put these lights on another trailer--work great--like the stainless hardware also--shipped very fast--ordered Sunday night and were here Wed. morning--VERY reasonable shipping cost.
Name is Bob ,I have used "etrailer.com" 4 times now. I am updating my boat trailer with all new lights and new floating hubs . Parts arrive on time and they send notifications as the order is processed and shipped. Thanks again.
This is the only single post all S.S. light. It will keep the ground area much more rust free for way longer than the non S.S. ones. You will have less ground issues but for years of trouble free trailering run a ground loop with these..
This light, part # 47-99-006, is a quantity of 1.
--This lights came in a timely manner and the quality of the light was much more than I expected, although I have not had them in the water yet, this Summer will be a good test for my boat trailer.
The product was as described and shipping was prompt. The side marker lites look very well made. I have not mounted them yet, but will shortly.
Look sharp and have plenty of wire. Don't get too crazy with the torque on the mounting hardware though because the backing plates are thin and will warp/bend. It won't pop the lens off or anything, but I had one that warped enough that it caused a bad connection and would not light up until I backed the nut off a few turns.
