Sealed, Waterproof Trailer Light

The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The circuit board is sealed, which means that water will not damage the diodes or circuit board.

Combination Lights for Trailers Over 80" Wide

Flatbed trailer over 80" wide with combination tail lights

If a trailer is 80" or wider at its widest point, then it requires rear clearance lights in addition to basic trailer lights. These clearance lights indicate the width of the trailer when it is viewed from the back.

To meet these requirements on a flatbed utility trailer where the bed extends past the wheels, you can install combination trailer lights that include the rear clearance function. For proper mounting, the lights must be installed at the widest points on the rear of the trailer - one on each corner.

The Wesbar low profile lights were a direct replacement on my 1998 Nitro trailer. They were fairly easy to install, rewiring takes most of the for the installation since old wiring must be cut and spliced to new wires on lights. One thing to note; most of the wiring diagrams I found depict the trailer to have green, brown and white wires, my Nitro has red, brown and white. Not a big issue but something that made do a little more checking before I did the permanent wire splicing. Trailer lights look just like they did from the factory and work fine.

This is not my first order from etrailer...and will not be my last. This time it was replacement trailer lights for a friend's boat trailer. I purchased a pair of the submersible type. The lights were an exact match of the OEM and came with the correct bulbs installed. It took less than an hour to remove and replace the old set. These guys are my go-to trailer parts team!

- 403076
by:

The design is good, actually an improvement on the older model taillight I'm replacing. Some written directions for the installation would have saved me time.

- 403076
by:

My trailer lights have been in and out of water for a year with no problems

- 403076
by:

Changing a lightbulb turned into a larger job than anticipated. The bulb was rusted until it was one with the socket. Replacing the entire fixture was easier and cheaper using etrailer.com. The new tail light fit in perfectly. Etrailer.com is a reliable and trustworthy site for my trailer parts.

- 403076

An exact fit, easy to install and is working well a year later.

Direct replacement on my boat trailer.

Lights continue to work well.

You have great products, service, website, information, follow-up and most of all your people. Haven't installed the lights yet but I'm sure they will work fine. I'm replacing the older generation Wesbar lights on my 16 year old boat trailer with these new ones. Something I've learned the hard way over the years: YOU CAN'T TRUST THE TRAILER FRAME TO BE A GOOD GROUND. Run a separate ground wire directly to each light from the vehicle connector, then the lights will just work. It will save you a lot of heartburn when you plug in the lights and never know what your gonna get. Keep up the good work. I'll be back when I need more stuff.

- 403076

My two taillights for my boat trailer arrived quickly and well packaged. They are good quality and easily installed. I was disappointed that the left (port) light did not include a tag bracket. I thought it was supposed to; it would not cost even a dollar to include a bracket. The left taillight did include a white light for tag viewing.

Etrailer provided the fastest and cheapest shipping I have ever obtained. The tail light I purchased for my boat trailer was installed in 10 minutes with all wires and fastening bolts matching perfectly. Response and monitoring of shipping and receipt by etrailer was provided in my email almost immediately after the actions of order receipt, pick, pack, ship and receipt at destination. Great product great service.

My 38 year old son asked me to other day how the mud got on the tail light and tail light bracket of my boat. I had been Crappie fishing. Hes one of those guy who cleans and shines everything. I told him I must have backed it into the bank near the boat house. He said I dont understand how you kept from breaking the tail light out. I told him I buy good equipment that lasts. Thats the worst thats happened to your Wesbar light and again passes the tough test. My sons share the boat with me so it gets plenty of use. Lights are submerged hundreds of times in a year from 100 degree to freezing temperature in Indiana. No problems to report with connectors, bulbs or lens even when I hit the bank I will always contact Wesbar first for your products when the need arises. I do Thank You again for your Great Customer Service and outstanding products.

I have a pair of these that have lasted 15 years on my boat trailer. Finally, the lights went out. You can't just replace the bulb on the older models. Everything is sealed water tight. So, I had to buy another pair. These are one of the best lights you can buy.

Tail light arrived and I installed it on the trailer, it was exactly what I needed. Thank you

- 403076
by:

Excellent. My trailer is 20 years old and your unit was a direct plug and play with no modifications. Thanks

- 403076
by:

The product is just like the original part. However, the wiring instructions did not account for the color coding on the trailer wiring, black, red and white. The new lights had different color wring on each light, brown, yellow and white for the driver side and brown, green and white on the passenger side.

- 403076
by:

Just replacing a broke light on a boat trailer. These were a factory item on my trailer and this one fro etrailer is a perfect match . As always good stuff

- 403076
by:

This is a really good light for the price. Trailer lights are like mechanic's fingers, easily damaged. I use the submersible even though it's not a boat trailer because having the bulbs enclosed provides less likelihood of corrosion and poor contact that seems to be a problem otherwise.

  • Wesbar Left Side Trailer Tail Light Not Working
You may have a dirty or corroded trailer connector, on the trailer side or vehicle side, so I recommend checking them to make sure they are clean and free of corrosion inside and out. I also recommend inspecting the wiring on the trailer starting at the connector and working your way back. Fix and pinched or damaged wires you find as needed. You may want...
