Sealed, Waterproof Trailer Light

The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The circuit board is sealed, which means that water will not damage the diodes or circuit board.

Combination Lights for Trailers Over 80" Wide

Flatbed trailer over 80" wide with combination tail lights

If a trailer is 80" or wider at its widest point, then it requires rear clearance lights in addition to basic trailer lights. These clearance lights indicate the width of the trailer when it is viewed from the back.

To meet these requirements on a flatbed utility trailer where the bed extends past the wheels, you can install combination trailer lights that include the rear clearance function. For proper mounting, the lights must be installed at the widest points on the rear of the trailer - one on each corner.

I have not installed it yet I bought as an extra for I have a 1999 trailer and know it is just a matter of time but I did have to hook up drivers side it works well but I think I sa fixing to re do complete wiring harness

The order process was fast and efficient. Shipping was well monitored by etrailer. However, if you're sending to a PO Box use the post offices physical address and append the PO Box number because etrailer's default shipping uses "UPS SurePost" and even though the package is delivered to a post office for ultimate delivery, surepost does not allow PO Box addresses as a destination.

by:

Needed a replacement tail light for our 2006 Featherlite Utility Trailer. Contacted etrailer and Gwendolyn helped me determine the appropriate light to order. The light arrived very quickly via USPS and easily installed. Trailer ready to resume Spring season work. Thank you Gwendolyn.

This is not my first order from etrailer...and will not be my last. This time it was replacement trailer lights for a friend's boat trailer. I purchased a pair of the submersible type. The lights were an exact match of the OEM and came with the correct bulbs installed. It took less than an hour to remove and replace the old set. These guys are my go-to trailer parts team!

Changing a lightbulb turned into a larger job than anticipated. The bulb was rusted until it was one with the socket. Replacing the entire fixture was easier and cheaper using etrailer.com. The new tail light fit in perfectly. Etrailer.com is a reliable and trustworthy site for my trailer parts.

by:

Great quality and fast delivery!! Perfect match to the light on other side of trailer. Very easy connection.

by:

Just got it installed

by:

The Wesbar low profile lights were a direct replacement on my 1998 Nitro trailer. They were fairly easy to install, rewiring takes most of the for the installation since old wiring must be cut and spliced to new wires on lights. One thing to note; most of the wiring diagrams I found depict the trailer to have green, brown and white wires, my Nitro has red, brown and white. Not a big issue but something that made do a little more checking before I did the permanent wire splicing. Trailer lights look just like they did from the factory and work fine.

by:

Everything was great, The rep I talked to explained everything well

Etrailer provided the fastest and cheapest shipping I have ever obtained. The tail light I purchased for my boat trailer was installed in 10 minutes with all wires and fastening bolts matching perfectly. Response and monitoring of shipping and receipt by etrailer was provided in my email almost immediately after the actions of order receipt, pick, pack, ship and receipt at destination. Great product great service.

My 38 year old son asked me to other day how the mud got on the tail light and tail light bracket of my boat. I had been Crappie fishing. Hes one of those guy who cleans and shines everything. I told him I must have backed it into the bank near the boat house. He said I dont understand how you kept from breaking the tail light out. I told him I buy good equipment that lasts. Thats the worst thats happened to your Wesbar light and again passes the tough test. My sons share the boat with me so it gets plenty of use. Lights are submerged hundreds of times in a year from 100 degree to freezing temperature in Indiana. No problems to report with connectors, bulbs or lens even when I hit the bank I will always contact Wesbar first for your products when the need arises. I do Thank You again for your Great Customer Service and outstanding products.

Easy to order and quick to ship.

Great service, fast delivery

by:

Light was just right. Fit perfectHowever trailer was sold this spring so that is all I can say about the light.

by:

Recommend this for older boat trailer repair or updates

by:

This is a really good light for the price. Trailer lights are like mechanic's fingers, easily damaged. I use the submersible even though it's not a boat trailer because having the bulbs enclosed provides less likelihood of corrosion and poor contact that seems to be a problem otherwise.

Comments
Still working well.
Steve - 09/18/2015

by:

I must start by saying I usualy do not write reviews.
BUT I recieved an email from etrailer with a 1 year follow up on how I am enjoying my trailer light. With that I went outside hooked up my tailer and the lights worked. If you have ever owned a boat trailer you know that at the start of the season you dip your trailer in salt water (NJ) then you park it and let it bake in the sun April - October
and you expect the lights to work. (they never do) I was amazed when I hooked up my trailer and the lights came on. Amazing. Keep up the good work!

by:

I purchased these lights as a replacement for the lights that were originally installed on a 2001 boat trailer. These lights are exact dimensional replacements and fit great. My old lights were a welded construction (plastic) dome around the bulbs and are not maintainable. Once the bulbs burned out, I had to change the entire fixture. These lights have an O-ring around the plastic dome and are serviceable.

by:

Just what I needed, their website also gave info about the product, a boat trailer taillight that was helpful.

Comments
the lights still work well after a year of use with loading and unloading the boat and being submersed each time
Gordon S - 08/18/2017

by:

The design is good, actually an improvement on the older model taillight I'm replacing. Some written directions for the installation would have saved me time.

by:

You have great products, service, website, information, follow-up and most of all your people. Haven't installed the lights yet but I'm sure they will work fine. I'm replacing the older generation Wesbar lights on my 16 year old boat trailer with these new ones.

Something I've learned the hard way over the years: YOU CAN'T TRUST THE TRAILER FRAME TO BE A GOOD GROUND. Run a separate ground wire directly to each light from the vehicle connector, then the lights will just work. It will save you a lot of heartburn when you plug in the lights and never know what your gonna get.

Keep up the good work. I'll be back when I need more stuff.

I recently purchase a hitch and wiring harness for my 2014 Honda CRV. I installed both myself. The video and instructions were very helpful. I also purchased and new trailer light that I also installed myself. The light fit perfect. I will definitely use etrailer again.

  • Do the Wires of Wesbar Submersible Trailer Light Need to Be Stripped Back to Install
If you are referring to the little piece of wire insulation that is on the very end of the wire you will just need to grab that piece and slide it off. Check out the picture I attached to make sure we are talking about the same thing. You will want to have the insulation of the wires stripped back so that the connections you make are metal to metal. Otherwise the light will not function. I attached a review video for this product for you to check out also.

  • Can a Trailer have a Mix of LED and Incandescent Lights
It is not recommended to mix LEDs with incandescent lights on a trailer. The problem is the amount of power required by each type. LEDs require much less power than incandescents. If one of each where on the same circuit, the draw from the incandescents could damage the LEDs. Although I have seen and heard of it being done successfully so it does not seem to be a hard and fast rule. But we still recommend either going all LED or all incandescent to lessen the likelihood of any potential...

  • Wesbar Left Side Trailer Tail Light Not Working
You may have a dirty or corroded trailer connector, on the trailer side or vehicle side, so I recommend checking them to make sure they are clean and free of corrosion inside and out. Corrosion can interrupt the proper flow of electricity which would then not allow lights on the affected circuits to light up. I also recommend inspecting the wiring on the trailer starting at the connector and working your way back. Fix and pinched or damaged wires you find as needed. You may want to try...

  • Can Trailer Taillights that are Incandescent be Replaced Easily with LED
If the bulbs of your trailer lights are replaceable and there's an LED replacement for that style available it would be just a matter of swapping the bulbs out like you mentioned. Since typically trailer lights have bulbs that aren't as easily replaceable you may have to swap out the entire assembly with a similar LED setup. You are absolutely right though when you mentioned that the LED lights will draw considerable less. Typically they only draw a fraction of an amp which is quite a bit...

  • Trailer Lights Cut Off When Running Lights Are Activated
I would have to agree with you that you have a ground problem as that is the most likely cause of issues arising once the running light circuit is active and other lights are affected. In order to fix the issue you are having the best option would be to run a separate ground wire from each light up to the main ground for the trailer connector. If this does not fix your issue then please just let me know and we can further troubleshoot this issue for you.

  • Checking Ground Wire onTrailer Light Blinking Left and Right Side
The cause of the lights blinking incorrectly is most likely a bad ground. We need to check the main ground on the trailer. You need to check the wiring harness on the vehicle as well. Start with checking how secure the ground and if the ground is good, you might have to clean up the surface under the ground wire to ensure a strong connection. You might need to add a new ring terminal to the ground wire as well.

  • Troubleshooting LED Tail Light On Sand Rail Not Working After Installing New Dash Module
It is possible when wires were shorting while installing a new dash module to LED lights were damaged. I recommend unhooking the LED lights and testing them by connecting them directly to a 12v battery. If they come on then there is a wiring issue, if they do not come on then the lights are damaged and will need to be replaced. I would not run both the incandescent lights and LED lights off the same wire as you could be overloading the circuit. Both lights should have their own wiring. If...
