Sealed, Waterproof Trailer Light
The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The housing and lens are sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not get into the light and damage the diodes or circuit board.
Surface-Mount Light
Surface-mount trailer lights install using a flange or bracket with mounting holes. These lights lay flat against the trailer surface and only require a small, often pre-existing hole, for wiring. Mounting hardware is used to secure the light to the trailer.

Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com, and we're going to be taking a look at the great white LED trailer backup light. This is going to be a very bright light for your trailer so that you can see what's going on behind you whenever you throw the gears into reverse.It's just going to take two wires to connect into your lighting system. We'll have our yellow and black wire that's going to be for power, white wire for ground. Let's take a little closer look at it. You can see how bright this light is.
It's going to be an LED light, so it gives you years of service without any worries about having to change out any kind of bulbs. The housing and lens are made of a polycarbonate. It should be pretty durable to last for a long time and it is waterproof, so you can even use this on applications where you're going to be putting it underwater.Turning the lights out in the studio, you can see just how bright this light is. I'm going to pull it away from my table a little bit so you can see that it still illuminates. I have it all the way at arms width, and it's kind of hard for you guys to tell on camera, but I would say that this is definitely a very bright light.
It's pretty dark in my studio, but I'm able to see pretty much everything that's going on around me with just this one single light. So if you have this in tandem with another one, it should be more than enough light to see what's going on behind you whenever you put that a reverse light signal on.It's just going to be white LEDs, that clear lens. Again, just the two wires to connect. As far as dimensions for the size. Get my ruler here.
It's about five. about five and five 16ths inches long. So just under or just over five and a quarter inch.And then about three and seven 16ths, so just under three and a half inches wide. And about one.. Let's say about one and eight 16ths deep, including this kind of block back here.
So it's just under an inch and a half in depth. Maybe more like an inch and three eighths.We'll have a total of 20 diodes, and our wires coming off of the light measure out about 12 inches long. if we pull that all the way out.All in all, I think this is going to be a really nice light. It does meet DOT, ECE and ADR compliance regulations. It has a limited lifetime warranty, and should be a great addition to your trailer to see what's going on behind you.Hopefully this helps to answer any questions that you might have about this light. Ordered these to add as lights inside my Decked truck bed cargo system. Work great. Note: To wire this up for a Decked cargo box inside light, you can either do a waterproof toggle switch, or go with a magnetic switch like you would use for an alarm system. I did the latter. You can tap into your bed lighting or to a constant 12vdc at the trailer harness. The magnet switches are set so that the lights turn on when I pull a drawer open, and off when I shut it. Attached some photos to show what they look like
Easy to install. Used this to add lighting inside my Decked Drawer system - 2x per drawer.

Have actually used used these in different setups. 2 enclosed trailers, a 10' long and 22 ' long. Also used 2 for pickup truck bed lighting mounted under the rails of a tonneau cover.

The light itself is great! It would work better if there was a deeper recess on the bottom where it mounts to the trailer. This would help conceal the wiring and extend the light toward the rear of the trailer to better illuminate the license plate.
This was a great replacement for the original lic plate light. I did have to drill one new hole because the new light base was a tad wider than the original base. The wiring was very simple: hot and ground and it worked like a champ.
Reordered after breaking on install. It wasn’t the products fault. Someone shut the trailer door on it just prior to final install and broke the lens. Light still works! Quality product!
Used to replace corroded incandescent back-up lights on trailer, these work great, easy to wire in, great illumination.
Getting ready to put this 2nd set into my trailer. Tied them right into the cheap ceiling lights and really brightened it up inside.
