Today we're taking a look at the Peterson LumenX LED turn signal and parking light. Now this is an oval trailer light that basically serves two functions for your trailer. It serves as a turn signal light and a parking light. We have durable surface mount technology when it comes to the construction of the LED circuit board. That design better withstands shock and vibration and allows improved heat distribution in an overall thinning construction. It does feature LEDs. Now those are sealed so they're not going to be effected from the elements.
LEDs make great replacements for incandescent lights. They last longer. They burn brighter. They're more efficient. With LEDs, you don't have to worry about replacing bulbs or worry about brittle filaments. It has a nice amber lens with a white plastic base.
It is a recessed mount installation with a mounting grommet that is sold separately and available at etrailer.com. Can be mounted in any 360 degree position. When it comes to the wiring, it accepts an industry standard three prong plug, which is also sold separately and available at etrailer.com.It's Department of Transportation compliant. It meets FMVSS 108 requirements for automotive lighting. Product is made in the USA.When it comes to the overall measurements, take a look at those real quick and then we'll hook it up to power so you can see what it looks like with power running to it.Going edge to edge this direction, it's about 6 1/2" long. Top to bottom is about 2 1/4".We're gonna go and hook it up to power.
So I got a three prong plug right here. It simply just fits in the housing, pushes in. Creates a nice sealed design back there. So this right here is the parking light function. You see it sends out a really nice clear, consistent signal. It has a total of seven diodes or seven LEDs, so the multi-diode design really helps optimize the overall light output.
Input voltage is nine volt to 16 volt DC, and our turn signal, you can see how that illuminates brighter when the turn signals are activated. That's gonna do it for today's look at the Peterson LumenX LED turn signal and parking light.
These worked great
Thanks
Easy to install replacement
The lights look ok, but I haven't gotten them installed yet. My main complaint is the packaging, because everything I ordered was thrown loose into one box. You need to do better to ensure nothing is damaged during shipping.
This is a review of etrailer as the product is 4*. The lights came loose in a box so all 4 lights lenses are scratched. When you spend 16-21$ a light you expect them to handle with care but they don’t.
It works fine
I installed these in a trailer for a customer with 12-volt and 24-volt towing vehicles. Now they can pull their trailer with either truck and have working lights.
Exactly what you'd expect. Seems to be a good quality grommet-mount LED light. I used it for a mid-ship marker on a gooseneck.
Very nice lights bright
