Ellen: Hey, everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com, and we're going to be taking a quick look at the combination trailer LED light. This is a submersible light for your trailer's lighting functions. It's going to give you seven different functions in one piece, so that's going to be your stop, turn, and tail light functions, as well as your side marker clearance light and also your side marker reflector and reverse reflector, or rear reflector, as well as a license plate light. So, seven functions in one to give you that complete lighting system. This is going to go on the driver's side, so that's where you're going to have that license plate light to illuminate that at night so you're still within DOT compliance. There's also a passenger side version of this available as well.
You can find that here at etrailer.com. They make a good set to go together so that it matches. The thing that I really like about this light is that it is an LED light, so it's going to be very long lasting, much better than your typical incandescent bulbs, which can fail on you and burn out, and then you got to get in there and change things around and take out the bulbs or find new bulbs. That can be a hassle. And also because it is a submersible light, so you can use this on a marine trailer. You can use this on really kind of any trailer that you'd want to.
It should be a very durable, long-lasting light, and should be pretty simple to wire up.Let's take a little closer look at it and talk a little bit about how that's going to work. We'll have our running light function here. I have it turned on. You can see as I turn it off, the difference there, so the diodes here light up as well as this side marker light and our license plate light. That all is controlled with the running light function.
Turn the lights out in the studio so you can get a better idea of how bright that is. So, nothing too super bright, but enough to give us some illumination for our trailer license plate and for that running light function. Whenever we hit the brakes or we use our turn signal, it's going to illuminate brighter. So that's a look at that in the dark. We can turn this off and look at the wiring on the back. It's just two wires to worry about, and then the ground connection is made via the studs here.
They are pre-installed so you don't have to worry about finding any hardware to mount this. It does come with that pre-installed hardware, so we'll get our studs on the back of the light and then a flange nut and flat washer to put this in place. The distance between these two studs is 2" center on center. So as long as you have holes that match that, it should be just fine, or you might have to drill out some holes to allow those to fall through. Just tighten down that hardware. Pretty easy. And then our two wires, we'll have the brown wire for our running light signal, our tail signal, and then the yellow wire will be for your stop and turn.As far as measurements with the light, we go from outer edge to outer edge, it's about 6-1/4" long. And then the light face is just about 4-5/8", which should be square. It should be about 4-5/8" going around for this portion of it. Front to back, it's about 2-1/2" just to the back of the light. With that hardware, it's about 3-1/4, as far as that depth. The leads coming off of our . or, the leads for our electrical, that should be about 15" long. And again, our studs there are 2" apart center on center. We have a total of 21 diodes. Have the 18 here and then a few more down at the bottom to give us our full lighting's function. As far as the power draw, at 12.8 volts, it's going to be two point . or, 0.268 amps for our stoplight, and for this side marker light it's 0.059 amps. So very low draw for that amount of power that we're getting.Does come with a lifetime warranty on the LEDs, and that's really about all there is to it for our look at the combination LED trailer tail light. I hope this has been helpful in deciding if this is going to be the right light unit for you. Again, we do have that corresponding passenger side light here at etrailer.com. That is OPT39FR. You can find that right here to go with your other light. Thanks for watching.

When I was told these were much better then the previous model that was being phased out I was a little bit skeptical to say the least. When I received this today I immediately took the busted one off and put these on as a direct replacement. The quality of the entire light is great, I can't wait to see them at light because they should be easily seen.
Works good lights up everything license plate. It was a good buy thanks.
Exactly what I needed same as original
Easy install and matches the original design....just better lighting.
