Specs:
The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The housing and lens are sonically sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not get into the light and damage the diodes or circuit board.
A P2-rated or P3-rated light produces a 45-degree angle of light to either side of its centerline for a total of 90 degrees of coverage. This beam pattern can be seen straight on, but it cannot be seen clearly from the side. So this type of light can be used as either a side marker light or a clearance light, but it cannot function as both. If you need both functions, then you must install 2 separate lights on your trailer - one as a front or rear clearance light and one as a side marker light.

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Optronics Sealed Miro Flex 2 1/2 Inch Round LED Side Marker Clearance or Identification Light. This is a sonically sealed waterproof design. It will accept the standard 2 pin plug, which is included. It connects to the back of the housing right here. It's going to have 2 wires coming out of it; black wire's for power, white wire's for ground. It's going to have a ring terminal already attached to it so you can easily make that as a ground wire. As you can see it's a grommet mount installation.
It does include the grommet, that's just a black rubber construction. The light itself, that's going to be a clear poly-carbonate lens that's going to contain 3 LEDs. Those are going to be amber LEDs. LEDs are going to make great replacements for incandescent lights. They last longer, they burn brighter, they're much more efficient.
You don't have to worry about replacing bulbs and you don't have to worry about brittle filaments. This is Department of Transportation compliant. We're going to take a look at some of the measurements real quick, starting with the overall diameter of just the light. Outer edge to outer edge we're looking at a diameter of about 2 1/2 inches. The height or thickness is going to be about 1 3/16 of an inch. When it comes to the size hole that this will fit in, we can tell that simply by taking a measurement back here.
This portion will slide through the hole. It has this lip right here that would also need to go through the hole. Then the mounting surface would sit under this flange portion of the grommet and in between this portion right here. That creates a really nice tight fit at the installation surface. That's going to be about 2 3/4.
If we move it over just a little bit we'll see that really I think anywhere from a 2 3/4 inch diameter hole to a 3 inch hole would work well for this unit. The power draw at 12.8 volts is 0.033 amps. Optronics puts a lifetime warranty on the LEDs. We're going to go ahead and hook it up to an actual power source. That way you can see what it looks like with power running to it. Just make our connections there. Then we can make our wiring connections here with our external power box. You can see here that the light sends out a nice clear consistent signal. Again, it's going to have the 3 amber LEDs. The clear lens allows plenty of light to come through. Multi-dial design optimizes the light output. Then it has that miro flex technology in there, which that light kind of reflects off some of those internal components which really helps optimize the amount of light output that comes from the unit. That's going to do it for today's look at the Sealed Miro Flex 2 1/2 Inch Round LED Side Marker Clearance or Identification Light.

2-1/2" Diameter round. Waterproof trailer light serves as either a side marker light or a clearance light. Recessed mount with included black grommet and 2-wire pigtail. Clear polycarbonate lens with amber LEDs. P2 rated.Great looking lights. Very bright especially for just 3 diodes. I bought another brand of lights. Not going to say their name but, their initials are PartSam. They said their lights were submersible but, no they weren't. They took in water the first time I backed in the water.
My E Trailer lights work fantastic and they did not take in any water and they work great. I highly recommend them.
AWESOME, YOU GUYS ALWAYS HIT IT OUT OF THE PARK....ONCE I GET THE PARTS ORDERED THEY ARE HERE IN NO TIME. ALWAYS PACKAGED WELL AND COMPLETE.

Though I have not hooked up yet…the lamps are an exact replacement for my Toyhauler. Gaskets or screws do not come with these lamps, though there should be a gasket with them. I have material and will make my own (see photo’s).
etrailer does well with follow up email/s along with your order/s. I’ve had no issues with any previous orders as well. Shipping took about a week through USPS.

I've been wanting to upgrade the trailer tails from incandescent to LED for a long time, as I felt the incandescent tails were just not visible during the daylight.
These Miro-Flex model TLL28RK are just STUPID bright, their daylight visibility is incredible, and that's just what I wanted. They were easy to mount, easy to wire, and I also like the lower power consumption.
The only thing I had to change was to drill a new hole in my light brackets for the wires, because with my old lights, the wires came out on the top, and on these, the wires exit from the bottom of the light.

These are a perfect upgrade on my jet ski trailer which was constantly burning bulbs maybe because the lights were not watertight. No amount of dielectric grease prevented it. These were easy to install. They are watertight and are twice as bright as the old ones. Great customer service! I highly recommend the lights and etrailer.com!

I just received my trailer taillight which appears to be identical to the one on my 2017 Heritage Trailer. If so, I am extremely happy to have found it on eTrailer. The original lights have worked very well. Hope to install it next time I access my trailer which is currently in storage.

I switched from my stick lights to LED and these have worked great! Only issue is the size was just slightly different than the stick trailer lights but it still works fine

I upgraded to these lights a few years ago and they are great. Amazing visibility. When I blew a tire it destroyed the left rear light as well as licence plate and bracket. etrailer was able to sell me a single light to do the repair......Thanks

These side markers (both red and amber LED) are great for my 12' trailer. They have 3 LEDs (you can also get 4), and their size is perfect for a small trailer. The LED's are really bright, not only at night, but also during the day, so they are easily seen. I especially like the fact that they are sealed, so there should be no water intrusion problems in the future. I have included a few pictures, the first showing the round LED brake/turn/running/reverse lights (that I had purchased earlier from etrailer) with the red side marker mounted vertically on the outside. The second shows a side view of the red side marker light, and the 3rd picture shows the side marker mounted to a small piece of 1" X 1" x 1/8" aluminum angle which I painted black to match the mounting frame of the round LED lights. I mounted the LED side marker to one leg of the aluminum angle, then mounted the other leg with 1" standoffs to two holes already present on the black mounting frame of the round LED light. Although all the lights are sealed against water intrusion, I decided to mount them on each side of the trailer at the top of 2 PVC pipes, about 36" long each, where the lights would not be exposed to immersing in water when launching/retrieving a boat.

I installed these lights in a [email protected] teardrop camping trailer. The grommet would not work on this style trailer so I installed the lights using a silicone adhesive the same as the original Peterson lights. eTrailer delivered them in the same timely manner I have come to expect from them and the LEDs were easy to install. These lights are blindingly bright - simply amazing. I had rear lights with 1157 bulbs which I had upgraded to 2357 bulbs and equipped the tow vehicle with a powered converter but the light output was dim by today's standards. These lights are twice as bright on running lights and about 4 times brighter on the brake/turn signal elements. The thing we all fear when towing is being hit from behind by a driver that does not see our running, brake or turn signal lights in time. I know these lights will vastly improve the safety and visibility of our trailer. Thanks!

Great little lights, and very bright as well. They have been installed on a trailer and submerged many times since installed, and still work great!! Can't beat LED's for brightness and, hopefully, longevity!!! Attached is one picture of the overall trailer, and a closeup of the amber side light. I also have 2 red sidelights that are mounted above water at the rear of the trailer, and they are still working great as well.

Much brighter than the clear lens lamps I installed last year, and far easier to see from behind. Price was excellent!

Just wanted to let you know that the Optronics Miro-Flex Trailer Lights are working great!! Much brighter and more visible that the basic lights I replaced! Hope your business is doing well through this Covid crisis!! Thanks for the communication.

I use them as a mid-ship turn signal on my motorhome and they are not as bright as I was hoping for. Eventually I will switch them to a real truck side light, but for now it's okay.
