Recessed-Mount Light

Recessed-mount trailer lights install with a grommet, which is often sold separately. These lights extend past the trailer surface and require a hole for installation. If replacing a light, you can utilize the pre-existing hole. If installing a new light, you will need to cut a hole or use a mounting bracket (sold separately) to complete the installation.

I recently had an lift gate installed on my truck and noticed that the rear lights were hard to see. While searching the web I came across etrailers site and found these trailer lights that I thought was almost perfect for what I needed. Perfect would have been lights that were surface mounted not recessed as these were. Where I wanted to mount them, the hydraulic pump was right behind it. I made a 1” square frame and mounted everything together. Couldn’t be happier the way it looks and functions. Looks like it’s well made and a nice stylish design. Ordering was easy and the shipping was fast. Was a pleasure to business with etrailer.

Had these lights for a year now and they still work fine . No problems . Thanks for a great product and service.

Just bought a 1992 Fleetwood Bounder. Troubleshooting the backup light, rear turn signals, etc. was a challenge. Went on-line with E-trailer.com and found exactly what I needed for a 28 year old motorhome. How cool is that? Easy to find the item I needed and super fast delivery! So glad I found their web sight. Look at the pic - the right side is new from E-trailer and the left side is the original light fixture. What a difference. Think I will order an other one soon to make the rear of the motorhome look brand new!

I am doing an exterior restoration on a 2003 Coachmen motorhome. The tail lights were an exact replacement for the originals. No more cracked lenses and faded black trim!

- 30-84-509
by:

The lights were ok , needed a gasket for waterproofing. But the main problem was the wiring on the light was WRONG. It was NOT black wire to black wire or white wire to white wire

- 30-84-509
by:

Arrived on time. Installation did not go well, was able to get running lights but no brake, hazard or indicator. After checking that I connected all the correct colour wires, there was no improvement. But after sleeping on it, I decided to reverse the connections. The lights finally worked, running, brake, indicator, hazard and reverse lights were working correctly. The clarity was a marked improvement. Just wish the wiring colour codes were correct, would have saved me a lot of time. Had the wiring been correct would have given these lights 5??

Comments
This lamp does indeed use a strange wire color code. White wire is ground, the green wires are for running lights and the black wires are for the turn signal and brake lamps. This is actually opposite of what youd usually see, and the manufacturer cant provide a good explanation of why this is done. This is mentioned in the product description video linked on this page.

Your package arrived as promised. The tail light is a perfect replacement for the damaged one.Your light is shone in the vertical position. On my trailer it fits horizontally. I placed my order over the phone with Pat she was very helpful and easy to understand and asked the right questions for the package to be delivered to the park we are currently staying.I would not hesitate to order from you again if the need arises. Thank you for your great service.

We have ordered 4 times from etrailer-twice for replacement taillight lenses and twice for triple taillight assemblies. The first order of lenses around Christmas was tracked as "delivered" but did not get to us (Post Office seasonal mess?). The lady at your company was very helpful, and in the end reshipped the missing lenses at no cost. The other 3 came quickly, I liked the tracking info, and everything was as ordered. My maintenance guy was complimentary of the easy install and wiring on the taillight assemblies. The assemblies were replacements for OEM parts that began to crumble when we tried to replace just the lens; we hope these will last for a long while.

If you want to swap out your current tail lights on your 2017 Thor Quantum 31WS with the Bargman Triple Trailer Tail Light # 30-84-509 then you can, but if the bolt holes don't match up you may need to drill new holes. Attached is a photo showing the dimensions of where the bolt holes line up. You might also consider the Bargman # 47-84-009 LED triple tail lights measuring 14" x 7" with 36 diodes. For your 1988 Toyota Warrior Winnebago, I recommend the Recessed Triple Red Tail Light with Black Base # 30-84-509 or chrome base # 30-85-002. If you prefer the 3 color, then the lights get moved to reverse in the middle. For this, I recommend the Bargman Recessed, Triple, Long Tail Light w/ Backup - 84 Series - Red and Amber - Horizontal # 30-84-104.
