Recessed-Mount Light

Recessed-mount trailer lights install with a grommet, which is often sold separately. These lights extend past the trailer surface and require a hole for installation. If replacing a light, you can utilize the pre-existing hole. If installing a new light, you will need to cut a hole to complete the installation.

After repainting the camper the old taillights just looked old. Adding the new taillights made the camper look new! Great quality and fast shipment.

I bought a pair of these taillights about 3 years ago for a wood flatbed that I built on my Ranger. last year while my truck was parked I was hit by another vehicle and I had to replace one of the light on the driver side. When I first bought these lights I searched online and in person at different places for well over a couple of weeks before I made my decision but these are the best for my truck. as you can see my truck is still a work in progress but hopefully I will get it done this year.

It’s plastic and will work. However the ones I replaced had a a metal frame.

I plan on using these lights on the rear of an old Holiday Rambler trailer and they will fit the space and cover the holes in the body very well. The style is also very similar to what was installed at the factory. I am very pleased that I was able to find them and will install them as soon as the weather becomes milder later on. They will be easy to install since the wiring configuration is the same as the old ones being removed. thanks again.

Review from a similar 84 Series Tail Light in Trailer Lights

We bought or 5th wheel new and I never liked the looks of the back. I figured out it was the taillights that were the only thing I didn’t like about the look of the rear of the trailer, they looked cheap. And they are, etrailer sells the same light for less then $xx. Out original taillights started to fall apart after a couple years. I installed these new LED taillights and love them and think they look great at night! I guess I have a think about taillights. Highly recommend these lights.

Review from a similar 84 Series Tail Light in Trailer Lights

The original black base was completely fading and brittle from 25+ years of traveling SoCal. These make the rear end feel fresh again. Perfect replacement fit for the housing on my 93' Winnebago Itasca Sunrise (ICF27RC). Completely reasonable price and bright enough to not need to upgrade to LED. Easy wiring... just make sure you tag the wires before you cut the old ones. Pretty easy to mistake the wires for low and intense red side brake bulb. No rattle or bulb replacements for over a few thousand miles. Wish they would include stainless steel screws with the kit, but not a big deal.

Review from a similar 84 Series Tail Light in Trailer Lights

A year ago I needed to replace the bulb style tailights on my truck camper, since they were no longer bright. I bought these from etrailer and was very impressed on how good the quality was for such affordable price. The installation was easy and they are bright and have performed flowless. Thanks etrailer.

Review from a similar 84 Series Tail Light in Trailer Lights

One incandescent single bulb tail light on my travel trailer needed replacing. Rather than replacing it with another cheap light, I elected to replace both of them with LED. This was the only LED light I could find that would cover all of the holes from the old lights. It is bright and attractive, half of the diodes could stop working and it would still be bright enough to finish a trip. Pro and con- the lack of room behind the light makes it stick out less, but there is no room for the wires to store behind the light. As my travel trailer has very little room in the wall for wiring, it was a tight fit. I added a screw on each corner to make it more secure pressing against the butyl sealant (not because the existing holes were not sufficient, but because the material on the trailer walls is thin). These lights are so well established that if one needs replacing it should be easy to find a replacement.

Review from a similar 84 Series Tail Light in Trailer Lights

The 20 year old Bargmann 30-84-527 incandescent lamps were getting weak and were prone to blowing bulbs. I replaced them with these new LED units for reliability and improved visibility. The new light units are slightly larger than the old units. Because there are so many high profile vehicles on the road now, I also added a pair of Optronics STL264RB Fusion LED Combination Tail Light Bars for Trailers Over 80" Wide - Submersible - Red/Clear Lens as high level stop/tail/turn/reverse lamps to improve visibility in traffic. Photos show 1. New Bargmann (left), Old Bargmann (right) and Optronics lights, turned off. 2. New Bargmann (left), Old Bargmann (right), tail lights on. 3. New mounting holes are wider than old. I re-used the existing bottom mounting hole. 4. All LED brake lights

Review from a similar 84 Series Tail Light in Trailer Lights

Finally, a quality replacement for RV Tail Light--92 Series. This surface mounted LED light installs easily after removing the series 92 light. It completely covers the screw holes used for the old style fixture. It’s at least 10 times brighter, or at least it looks that way. Installation was easy. Remove the lens from the old unit and then the screws holding it to your trailer. (Note: many units are surrounded with a bead for caulking, normally white or clear. Use a razor blade around the edges to release the old unit) Once the old units released just connect the new taillight and using stainless steel screws attach the new unit. I also sealed the new unit with a bead of clear silicone caulk. FYI – This unit does not provide a license plate light or means of attaching a license plate. Looks factory installed when you are done. Pictures are old tail light and new installation

Review from a similar 84 Series Tail Light in Trailer Lights

Seriously changed the look of my 2007 Jayco. Looks like a newer one. I did the swap because we are going on the road in it for 3 months, and I want people to see me hit the brakes or turn. Before the old cheesy bulb barely could be seen in the original lights. Big thumbs up! Look no further... Took 20 minutes to put them in.

Review from a similar 84 Series Tail Light in Trailer Lights

Awesome product, and very bright specially the turn signal and brake lights. I am sure that people on the road will definitely see my lights on every side because I also installed LED on all my marker, clearance, and license plate lights. I highly recommend this product, and will definitely purchase all my lighting needs from etrailer.com Thanks guys for an awesome product!!!

Review from a similar 84 Series Tail Light in Trailer Lights

These are nice and bright 1 year later (just as strong as when new). LED is the way to go! While it is costlier to get a double wide light assembly, I prefer to have more light identifying my rig in low light situations (rain or fog at night). I've towed in situations where the fog has been so thick I could only see maybe 2 to 3 car lengths in front of me, and yet people are coming up on my rig like its a bright sunny day!! I like them a Lot! Easy to mount and wire up if you understand 12V wiring at all. A little silicone around them to keep out moisture and you're good to go!

Review from a similar 84 Series Tail Light in Trailer Lights

I wanted the 3 light set up for my f150 2005 flatbed project. This was a rare find for candescent bulbs and amber and white and red. I made a slight modification because of my F150 two bulb system double filament by removing the single bulb that came with the lamps and taking the socket and bulb from the old f150 and installing it into the amber section to cover blinkers and brakes on the double bulb. They work and look great. The etrailer staff answered my email question and alerted me to the f150 combo system and I was able to solve the incompatibility. Attached marker lights to wood so ran a ground wire with a ring terminal to the post. Had to enlarge the opening for the 1/4” post to accommodate the biggest ring terminal I could find and get a coupler and extension post to make it through the 3/4” pine. The lights recessed into slots I rotozipped out.

Review from a similar 84 Series Tail Light in Trailer Lights

I’m very happy with these LED tail lights. Bought them to replace the ones that came on the trailer. They are bright and seem to be of high quality. They were easy to install. The only slight drawback is that it’s a bit tricky to get the wires to lay flat enough against the light to get it to sit flush with the back of the trailer. But in the end it worked fine. I would recommend these as a good replacement for older, smaller, incandescent tail lights.

Review from a similar 84 Series Tail Light in Trailer Lights

I am very pleased with the performance and high visibility to drivers behind me. I wasn't overly happy of the poor lighting quality of the factory installed one. They just didn't provide a strong presence. I did replace them more for safety than any other reason.

These led replacements are better than expected super bright and high quality not like other cheap knock offs I was skeptical at first because I thought they were a little pricey but after installing them and seeing how well made they are and have driven many miles in the dark and a year later they are still bright as new and still working

The closest light assembly we have to what is on your RV is the Bargman Triple Tail Light # 30-84-103 or the LED version # 47-84-103. The correct replacement lenses for this assembly is part # 34-84-711 for the center backup lens and # 47-84-712 for the red lens. The green wires of the Bargman # 30-84-103 are the running light circuits, the brown wires both operate the turn/brake lamp signals and the black wire is for the revers lamp, as shown in the photo I've edited for you. Bargman also offers an LED version of the same lamp, as part # 47-84-103. LED's last longer, are brighter and consume only a fraction of the power that an incandescent lamp does.
