Recessed-Mount Light

Recessed-mount trailer lights install with a grommet, which is often sold separately. These lights extend past the trailer surface and require a hole for installation. If replacing a light, you can utilize the pre-existing hole. If installing a new light, you will need to cut a hole to complete the installation.

great replacement light

After repainting the camper the old taillights just looked old. Adding the new taillights made the camper look new! Great quality and fast shipment.

by:

It’s plastic and will work. However the ones I replaced had a a metal frame.

Comments
It’s plastic and I would be lucky to get a few more years out of it. What else could you say.

I bought a pair of these taillights about 3 years ago for a wood flatbed that I built on my Ranger. last year while my truck was parked I was hit by another vehicle and I had to replace one of the light on the driver side. When I first bought these lights I searched online and in person at different places for well over a couple of weeks before I made my decision but these are the best for my truck. as you can see my truck is still a work in progress but hopefully I will get it done this year.

Anytime I order from etrailer. They never fail me .
Good company no issues ever .

by:

Great! We figured it out and it works! I would suggest to include some type of instructions. For the first timers/ do it yourself. I looked it up online and that was fine. Just would have saved some confusion. Otherwise, everything was great!

by:

Package was on time and exactly what I ordered

by:

My lights arrived in a timely manner, with easy ordering online and great customer service.

by:

I just received them and have not been able to install them yet but a quick look indicated that they will work fine.

by:

The lights I ordered were all tossed into a big box letting them all knock around and none of them came with screws to attach them. The money you saved in not sending the screws cost you a returning customer. I will never purchase anything from you again.

by:

I plan on using these lights on the rear of an old Holiday Rambler trailer and they will fit the space and cover the holes in the body very well. The style is also very similar to what was installed at the factory. I am very pleased that I was able to find them and will install them as soon as the weather becomes milder later on. They will be easy to install since the wiring configuration is the same as the old ones being removed. thanks again.

by:

still working

by:

Holding up great after the first year, no problems!

Thank you!

Review from a similar 84 Series Tail Light in Trailer Lights

Based on other reviews of these lights, I had no doubt that they would be brighter than the Bargman Series 92 incandescent lights that came standard on my trailer. The issue was whether or not the 12-13 degree return slope on the back of my trailer (see picture) would adversely affect their visibility because some LED lights are "directional. The bottom line is that I think they work very well despite the slight downward aim. The attached video shows my test of one of the new lights taped into position (right) compared to one of the old lights (left). The video does not due justice to the brightness of the new fixture, but you can clearly see how much sharper the "flash" of the light is compared to the old one. Two notes regarding installation; (1) there is very little space in the back of the fixture for wires so you need to be able to center the fixture on the whole in the trailer to push extra wire into, and (2) yo can configure these lights to be 1/2 stop/tail and 1/2 turn/tail if your trailer is wired appropriately.

Review from a similar 84 Series Tail Light in Trailer Lights

We bought or 5th wheel new and I never liked the looks of the back. I figured out it was the taillights that were the only thing I didn’t like about the look of the rear of the trailer, they looked cheap. And they are, etrailer sells the same light for less then $xx. Out original taillights started to fall apart after a couple years. I installed these new LED taillights and love them and think they look great at night! I guess I have a think about taillights. Highly recommend these lights.

Review from a similar 84 Series Tail Light in Trailer Lights

Finally, a quality replacement for RV Tail Light--92 Series. This surface mounted LED light installs easily after removing the series 92 light. It completely covers the screw holes used for the old style fixture. It’s at least 10 times brighter, or at least it looks that way. Installation was easy. Remove the lens from the old unit and then the screws holding it to your trailer.
(Note: many units are surrounded with a bead for caulking, normally white or clear. Use a razor blade around the edges to release the old unit)
Once the old units released just connect the new taillight and using stainless steel screws attach the new unit. I also sealed the new unit with a bead of clear silicone caulk.

FYI – This unit does not provide a license plate light or means of attaching a license plate.

Looks factory installed when you are done.

Pictures are old tail light and new installation

Review from a similar 84 Series Tail Light in Trailer Lights

Excellent product. In a set of 2, this makes for an excellent safety measure so drivers know when you have your turn signal on, or braking. So many Travel Trailers come with terribly dim tail lights that are not bright enough in broad day light. You want your tail lights to out-shine broad day light when braking or turn signal. As far as I am concerned, these lights spared me at least one accident. Too bad insurance companies won't give a discount for having this upgrade installed.

  • Replacement Taillight Assembly Recommendation for a 1983 Aljo Aly Travel Trailer
It sounds like the correct taillight setup for your 1983 15ft Aljo Aly travel trailer would be the Bargman Taillights # 30-84-103. Without seeing the picture of what you have on your trailer it would be hard to say for certain though. Even if this taillight assembly isn't exactly what you have on your trailer you should be able to make this assembly work. However, feel free to email me back with a picture of your taillights and I will see what we have that would be the closest to it.

  • Recommended Tail Light Assembly For 1982 Cross Country
I recommend the Bargman Triple, Long Tail Light - 84, 85 Series # 30-84-103. This is the longest light we carry at 18 inches long as you stated. I believe you will need to do the modifying to accommodate the more modern tail light fixture style. I've linked the page to all your options for lights this length.

  • Could Bargman 84 Series Trailer Taillight be Used on Flat Bed Truck
The Bargman 84 Series taillight part # 30-84-103 that you referenced can be used for what you are looking to do if needed. If you installed one on either side of the flat bed you be able to have stop/turn/running light/reverse light. The intended application of this is a trailer but it would work fine on a flat bed truck.

  • Replacement Taillight Recommendation for 1983 Airstream Trailer
From what I have found, it looks like the most common light style for 1983 Airstream trailers is the same as the Bargman Triple Tail Light w/ Backup - 5 Function - Incandescent - Black Base - Red/Clear Lens # 30-84-103. I recommend taking some measurements to see if this light matches up with what you currently have. It is 18" long and 5-5/16" wide. I have attached a picture with all of the measurements, including the measurements for the mounting holes, for your reference.

  • How to Wire Bargman Triple Taillight # 30-84-103
The green wires of the Bargman # 30-84-103 are the running light circuits, the brown wires both operate the turn/brake lamp signals and the black wire is for the revers lamp, as shown in the photo I've edited for you. Bargman also offers an LED version of the same lamp, as part # 47-84-103. LED's last longer, are brighter and consume only a fraction of the power that an incandescent lamp does. This lamp would wire up as mentioned above.
