Leaf springs are an integral part of your trailer suspension system. The leaf springs provide the attachment points for your trailer's axle, suspending it from the frame of your trailer. Each spring flexes to absorb road shock as you travel, allowing the axle to move somewhat independently of the rest of your trailer. This helps to reduce wear and tear on the trailer and also ensures a smooth ride.
Double-eye leaf springs attach to hangers that are welded onto your trailer. One end of this spring will attach directly to the hanger with a suspension bolt. The other end will attach to shackle straps that are suspended from a hanger. These straps allow the spring to move and pivot so that it can better compensate for uneven pavement. If you have a tandem- or triple-axle trailer, the shackle straps will be attached to the equalizer that connects multiple springs.
To mount this spring, you will need hangers, shackle straps, and suspension bolts. If you are simply replacing a spring, you may still have hangers welded onto your trailer. You should, however, replace your shackle straps because they are usually the first component to wear out. You may choose to replace old suspension bolts as well. It is recommended that you replace the other leaf spring in your setup at the same time. Because springs can sag and elongate as they wear, this new spring may not exactly match the old one, and the alignment of your trailer could be affected.
If you are fabricating a trailer, you will need to purchase a hanger kit for installation. To determine the type of hanger kit that you need, you must know the specific type of leaf spring that you have, as well as your axle capacity. Depending on the hanger kits used with them, springs can be configured to work for single-, tandem- or triple-axle applications. Hangers and other suspension components can also be purchased separately if there isn't a complete kit that works for your setup.

I'll be honest, like some of you, I tend to overload my utility trailer on occasion. I bought these to replace the previous springs I had purchased from Tractor Supply. These springs are great, as good if not better than the originals.
I have used these abut 1500 miles on my custom race care trailer. They work great - no problems, no squeaking. I would def buy this product again
I use the trailer almost every weekend and have had no issues so far.
I installed these springs without any problems. The original springs on my camper were 4-leaf. These are 3-leaf. I'm hoping that will not be a problem. Etrailer has always provided great customer service and well-built products.
After a lot of searching I found this company that let me find out exactly the part number for the suspension springs of my Viking pop-up camper. Had a broken spring and tried some local springs but was never satisfied as the springs in a bump would lock-up. Now it trails normal instead of jumping excessive.
The spring is great the only issue is I ordered one instead of 2. I wish you guys sold a entire axle/spring/hardware kit

My 4x6 Homesteader Trailer was sagging and the tires when loaded were kissing the inside of the fenders.
I called Tim at etrailer.com and he was helpful in locating the correct 3 leaf 20” leaf springs with all hardware.
When removing the old springs I noticed one of the Eye brackets was tearing off the frame so first we had to take a piece of steal plate and weld the new piece in place, not to take any chances we welded the other side also.
The new hardware and Leafs all went into place just fine and now my trailer is sitting were it should be.
All products were delivered promptly and were as expected. I already completed half of the trailer leaf spring replacements (one side) and will wrap-up tonight. All is going well, and I appreciate that the product descriptions on etrailer's website were very detailed (dimension, how to measure) such that I had confidence that I was ordering just what I needed. Great products and service.
The new leaf springs fit perfect and made my old camp trailer set level again. It also tracks nicely again on the road.

The customer service was outstanding. Thru the process of identifying what I needed to ordering and delivering the products I dealt with multiple Customer Service Representatives (CSR). Everyone of them were helpful and courteous. I really appreciated the follow up after my initial contact with CSR. Once the product was ordered I was kept up to date on the status of the order thru regular emails from an etrailer CSR. The parts arrived as they promised, and a CSR even followed up with me after that. Great service, keep it up!

These springs arrived exactly as ordered and fit fine. Shipping took an extra 5 days due to problems with the carrier - but no fault of etrailer. My only suggestion would be to add the dimensions to the etrailer web page.
Exactly what I needed, fit perfectly on my boat trailer. There is many different sizes so make sure you measure good so you can order the correct ones.

Very well. With these springs the trailer is less jumpy as it was with store bought springs. Makes a differwence in towing.
